Things you didn't notice before in Mario games

I just noticed that when you collect a Power Star as Wario in Super Mario 64 DS, the noise he makes sounds like he's about to vomit. Almost as if being the hero is making him physically sick, XD

BLEAUGH!

LeftyGreenMario and I made fun of that noise all the time. He also says that when he exists his door when you pick him.

It's a really enthusiastic-sounding vomit.

He also has a weirdly pitched shifted "YEEAH!" IIRC

All the voices sound kinda muffled in SM64DS. Like they hadn't figured out how to audio the system yet or something.

So um in Mario Kart Tour, the Blue Seven's tail lights resemble an aerial view of a Koopa Troopa shell. Was it like that in 7?

I don't recall that in 7, it was just regular taillights iirc

"Bowser Jr.'s Mad" from MP9 has a bit which sounds like "Bowser Battle" from SPM.
I've never really listened to the original track myself, but the latter is supposedly an arrangement of Dark Land theme from SMB3 so maybe that would be it

It is. At least the SPM theme. It's like a mixture of dark land and a more heavy version of his SPM leitmotif.

Btw his SPM theme is shet.

I'm thinking of these two parts
Are those both SMB3 dark land?

Does the name have any meaning in Italian, or is it just a generic name that they chose in the localization there?

From the wiki:
From drago (dragon) and the endearing female suffix -ella.

Actually now that I have investigated further, the preferred name for Birdo in Italian is Strutzi, which is basically what Ostro would have been called. Ostro, if you didn't know, was a mistake in the Super Mario Bros. 2 credits where both Birdo and Ostro swapped names. Strutzi is basically like calling Birdo "Ostro" in English since it has its roots in ostriches. I guess Draghella isn't that popular of a name to be used.

When playing my first Mario Kart game (Mario Kart 8), I didn't know that drifting existed until a year or so after I got the game.

It took me way too long to get drift boosting in Mario Kart. Like I was struggling in Double Dash's 150cc and Mirror modes but they're a breeze once you master drift boosting and the tracks.

Smash is one of those games that is so ginormous, I could play it for a thousand hours and still not see everything. Did you know in Battlefield and Big Battlefield Rayman is visible trapped on the ice?

for some strange reason, globox and the teensies aren't around to save him...

see thats why we need globox in smash actually
anyway the whole rayman trapped in ice crystal thing theory is kinda stupid though i will admit that is an uncanny resemblance
..remind me to do a related funny in origins tomorrow

Anything to give my most wanted some attention and ideas, really.

I don't believe it but that's because I'm pessimistic after the trophy tease in Smash 4 ending up as nothing.

rayman seems to have a Ton of things going for him but i dont think a crystal having a vague rayman resemblance in it is one of these things lmao

edit to not double post: heres the funny i mentioned

When I was looking for tortoise dragons, I came to a realisation: Bowser never seem to stand on all four of his limbs as far as I know, which is ironic since tortoises stand (and walk) on all fours, including the regular Koopa Troopa. The realisation is due to how the literal image of a tortoise dragon standing on all fours, and when I attempted to search for Bowser doing the same, nothing came up. Meowser, on the other hand...
