Worst Smash Bros. Stage

It's hard to really hate any stages now since hazards off makes pretty much all of them tolerable, with the possible exception of walk off edges

The problem with Great Cave offensive to me is that it's too big. I forgot I was playing at some point.

So yeah, 75m sucks. Enough said.

64: Mushroom Kingdom
Melee: Icicle Mountain
Brawl: 75m/Mario Bros.
3DS: Balloon Fight
Wii U: Great Cave Offensive/Palutena's Temple
Ultimate: ??? I honestly forgot they added new stages but looking at the list it's probably Great Plateau Tower just because of the roof. It's a shame because I don't hate it nearly as much as the other stages here.

I'm sure there's stuff like Mushroomy Kingdom and Rumble Falls and Dream Land GB and Reset Bomb Forest and etc. that are similar levels of unplayable, but they're just not bad enough for me to tie them as the worst stage in the game

Basing my opinion mostly on single player modes.

Any omega stage variant as it's fucking ripe for them to make a spirit battle to cloak the stage in complete hazards. Cough cough Baby Bowser. The Boss.

Also the battlefield variants are shit too. There's no way the AI is going to fuck up massively as they do on stages with unconventional layouts or with hazards. When it came to legend battles, 75m saved my ass twice, and Punch-Out's walk-offs twice too, and Green Hill Zone also twice (in Eggman's fight, raining bob-ombs did that close up kill thing on me twice, but the elevation braked my launching so I was saved twice that way while the bob-omb killed the last guy). Can't say the same for battles that take place on more neutral stages.

Mario Bros. still is a shit stage and I argue it's far worse than any other stage, though Palkia fucking with the screen does come pretty damn close to irritating the hell out of me.

pac-land 8 player smash and any mode that isn't stock is the only correct way to play it
Did this, and I don't regret it.

It was Time (5:00), FS Meter, Hazards & Spirits On, All Items set to high.

10/10 Absolute Chaos would play again.
PICHU ONLY

the pauline spirit has made me hate 75 m with a passion
also any ridiculously large stages that were introduced in smash 4 (palutenas temple, great cave offensive, etc) can be pretty annoying as well

There is no visual distinctions between hard platforms and soft platforms on 75m. That along with the clingy ladders made the Pauline spirit fight a PAIN

75m design has actually has two key flaws. Well, the first one is more of an exploit, but the sheer size of the stage allows the staff to do some really serious damage. Second one is a major AI flaw where Peach can SD herself. If Pauline were to take place in Battlefield, you don't have those advantage.

But I am that hipster who likes 75m. As with PacLand, the only correct way to play 75m is any mode that isn't stock, items on, hazards on, spirits on, 8 player Smash

I also agree it is a very bad stage. I just see little reason to play on it, and anything KK Slider utters out makes me want to rip open an ear canal.

Wait...

I never played on Smashville actually.

Or was that Town and City? Those stages look too similar...

Then again I don't remember playing on either ever, which is weird, but still, Tortimer Island looks like the better AC stage until I actually remember how the other ones play.

The biggest problem I have with Smashville is that it's an utterly bland stage. Same with Town and City.

So basically they're Final Destination with platforms that occasionally come in?

Pretty much, yeah. I think Town and City is less bland because of the part where you go into town, but it's still mainly just background porn, the parts of the stage I actually want to fight in, not in some raised floaty thing above the village.

Why don't you like it?

1. Very boring and bland overall aestethic design
2. Some of the worst music tracks imaginable for a fighting game. KK Slider makes my ears bleed
3. Way, way way too overused in competitive Smash

Ah. I can see your points, but here are my answers:

1. I've never really cared for amazing backgrounds. They make me lose focus on the fight.
2. I don't really play Smash with sound that much. Although I can see how you can get annoyed with KK. (Though I don't see how any AC voices can be tolerated)
3. I can see how that gets redundant. I'll agree on this.

Not saying you're wrong - everyone has differing opinions.

64: Kongo Jungle
Melee: Kongo Jungle
4: Kongo Jungle
Ultimate: Kongo Jungle

Brawl is perfect.

Just don't play that stage at 8PM on a Sunday, I've never experienced him for that exact reason.

The worst stages for me are:

Pac-Land: I don't even hate scrolling stages, because I do like most of them (such as Icicle Mountain, Rumble Falls, Mushroomy Kingdom, and more). But Pac-Land is unbearable to play on.
Orbital Gate Assault: My second least favorite stage in Smash 4. I am SO glad that this stage didn't come back in Smash Ultimate.
Big Blue: Pretty annoying to fight on. Also, since I like to play with a higher launch rate (1.5x), getting hit by a car is almost guaranteed death.
Mario Bros.: I used to like this stage in Brawl, but I hate playing on it in Smash Ultimate. I've noticed that the CPU players never seem to throw the enemies at other CPUs, they always wait until I get near and only throw them at me. I hate that CPU players always have to target the human player.
Palutena's Temple: Way too large. I actually like The Great Cave Offensive better than this stage, because GCO at least has the danger zones that kill anyone that has over 100% damage. I once made the mistake of playing a 25-stock match on this stage in 8-Player Smash (launch rate set to 1.8x), and it took over half an hour for the match to end. I'm never making that mistake again.
Mute City SNES: Like I said, I like playing with the launch rate set to 1.5x and getting hit by the road is an instant kill.

Will not prevent 2 AM or Go KK Rider from playing
Will not prevent you from turning them of on the My Music settings.

I'm just disgusted that KK Slider is passed off as "music" and even is in the game in the first place.

I'm pretty sure there are parts of the game where it's forced onto you hence why he's complaining about it.
