    How did they screw up Crystal Chronicles Remastered so badly? I've been looking forward to that one.

    Pirated copies of Super Mario 3D All Stars are crashing on Switch consoles but some media have the gall to refer to modded consoles as "sullied", like they're contaminated. First, modded Switches are not "sullied" lol, you can always reboot to regular firmware. Second, Nintendo doesn't need your defense, tinkered consoles aren't inherently a bad thing and have features such as save backups, customized games, and custom themes, not just for piracy. Third, a superior emulation for Super Mario 64 in the Switch exists, and Super Mario 64 is the one causing crashing issues. You can be against modded consoles, but be paid to know what the hell you're talking about.

    Eh it's not the most reliable thing to do. You pretty much need a pre summer 2018 Switch or not update the thing, first is dependent on circumstance, second is just a bit too much of a sacrifice since you lose out on game updates, new games, and stuff.

    Los Angeles has a Chinatown too! Well, in SoCal, there's a lot of heavily Asian areas, not just Chinese, but you'll find Little Tokyo and Koreatown in LA as well as in other areas.

    While a good tourist destination, I read that the best Chinese food aren't in China Town, as restaurants there are designed to attract tourists first, over accommodating to the palette of Chinese immigrants. That means the food may have been catered to be more "accessible" and flavor is sacrificed. However I guess advice is different if your region doesn't have a strong Chinese community like in L.A..

    The year of Brawl Mario is still going on in spirit as long as Mario retains the scowly face and Brawl Mario's voice effects continue being used for every Smash Bros. game to eternity.

    Random tripping is still there, just in the form of Smash Ultimate online's connections problems. They trip all the time.

    Mario Wiki: Behind the Scenes on paper doesn't sound so bad. Unless it's about some guy overly fanatized with a character from some article, idk what can happen between two or more people making an article that's drama.

    It's super late for this and I hate to bother you, but I'd like to know in maybe more detail why was it a bad thing that the names I gave to my Chinese boys were "cultural appropiation-y". They seemed harmlessly stereotypical to me, a la Punch Out idk.

    If you try Punch Out, you have to go over the top and make sure you lampoon those stereotypes rather than adhere to them. It's pretty difficult to pull it off, might not even be worth the trouble.

    Suppose I created a guy who came from America who is idk a cowboy who loves bbq and has a Roosevelt like face. I mean that's so absurd no one would adhere to that and just laugh? My characters here are a lot less stereotypical and only have designs based on how Han China actually looked like, sort of. Aside from names with hidden funny Chinese meanings (which alright came from Google Translate loooool but still), There barely seems to be anything super forcedly stereotypical.

    I'm just saying, all these character requests are pretty tiring. :P A lot of characters have their fans going "well it's not over until my favorite character is in" and that's probably going to go on forever. Maybe just kill the thing now and let it be. Let's move on to something smaller and more needy.

    Besides, Smash announcements have been airing like 24/7 for the past few years it feels; they've been replacing all big announcements from other games. What if you don't like Smash? Kinda tough luck.

    I mean ever since Min-Min's release it's been completely silent save for that one shadow drop update with Small Battlefield. And I don't think Smash DLC has "replaced" other announcements, it's developed by an entirely different studio that's almost exclusively dedicated to Smash.

    Yes, Smash Ultimate is a truly complete game as it is, even despite the lack of Bandana Dee that makes my heart cry. But I don't see anything wrong with adding more content to a game that's already so great.

    I'd like to see get Rayman in, but it's finished when Sakurai/Nintendo say it's finished, regardless of the characters that are in. There's still a lot of hope for the characters mentioned here... except Waluigi, unfortunately. As much as I want him in, it's still quite a stretch.

    I think it's best just to talk to your friends before a match begins and remember what you do well in other areas, if all else fails, simply explain that this stuff stresses you out and no one will hold it against you if you don't compete

    What I do is even though I do care a lot about winning first place in Mario kart. Everyone loses. So the few times I get last place or bottom tier places I just tell my self to get up and try again. Losing actually motivates me. Don't think of losing as bad. Think of it as a learning tool. :)

    Well I know losing is a learning experience and everyone expects to lose. I can get lost in enjoyment of the competition. But I have to deal with a mindset that gives me anxiety any time I compete and I end up getting burnt out more easily and end up just not joining those games.

    August 16 is going to be quite the milestone for me and my sister as Marioboards members soon.

    We actually edited the Wiki back in Fall 2009 but we haven't had a proper decade milestone set yet iirc. I'm also not really active in the Wiki these days either, don't think it counts. :(

    So he'd be like a Gandhi but more charismatic. His humbleness would make him uninterested in building wonders (I mean he lives in a 2 room house after all), which means my man Qin Shi Huang will like him (so long as Mario isn't seaching for inmortality as well, that is. Yes Qin was a strange man, and also his tomb is still shrouded in mystery after 2000 years for some reason??). I guess he'd get a big boost in culture but nothing else. I don't see him spreading a religion or being a man of science.

    I'm saying this as barbarians are raping me by pillaging and looting my glorious empaiah. I was too busy attacking city states. Conquering is a lot more satysfying than doing anything else in this game (I love seeing those borders expand and become mine ngghh).

    I don't see Origami King spoilers. I just see incessant complaining between fans and some division between those that liked the first two, those that liked Super Paper Mario, and those that liked the latter three. On GameFAQs I saw people ripping on your post on how you used the narrative-driven and paper-driven labels on Twitter and I came to your defense.
