My first two weeks of college went well. I submitted a lot of my work. It can get mostly easy or difficult based on the program. I switched my program from Computer Engineering Technology to Computer Systems Technology program at Seneca. I do get to have a little fun though but I think my activity here will decrease as I deal with College stuff. I finally made it out of high school which is a great thing. I am now in the real world.
So yesterday, Back to the Future turned 35 years old. That was such a classic movie from the 80s. It is one of best movies of the 1980s and one of Universal's greatest franchises. I just hope both Nintendo and Universal do something and release a Back to the Future DLC pack for Mario Kart featuring the awesome time traveling DeLorean Time Machine as well as some BTTF themed tracks as well as having Marty McFly and Doc Brown be cameos (though I do prefer if they could be made playable to justify that). That would all play out really well considering that Nintendo and Universal have good relations due to The Wizard, the Super Nintendo World Theme Park as well as the upcoming Mario movie made by Illumination (owned by Universal).
So today marks 10 years since Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out. All I can say is that I like it just as much as Galaxy 1. I'd even say I like both games equally. I have beaten both the Galaxy games but not 100%. I have beaten Sunshine 100% and am closer to beating 3D World 100%. I really hope both Galaxy 1 and Galaxy 2 will be remastered in HD.
I still think Double Dash!! is the best Mario Kart in the series for a great number of reasons.
1st is the two people in one kart system.
2nd is the co-op which is rare to see in a Mario Kart game (I know Arcade GP DX has it but its not exactly the same as Double Dash). I also like the Road Rash-like action that it has with it.
3rd is the fair challenge that's based on skill rather than luck unlike Mario Kart Wii which is luck based and not as fun.
4th is its fun battle mode which is second to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Double Dash's two people in one kart system makes battle mode the most fun in the series and it easily puts Mario Kart Wii and the original Mario Kart 8's battle mode to shame.
These are the reasons I love Mario Kart: Double Dash!! the most out of all the Mario Kart games. I'd love to see its two people in one kart system return in Mario Kart 9 or whatever the next Mario Kart game will be called on Switch as a special mode. It is something fans have demanded to return. Double Dash!! holds up way better than Mario Kart 64 did and has certainly aged the best out of old Mario Kart games. It's still fun to play even today.
I was lucky enough to get Pauline (Party Time) from the Special Pipe in Mario Kart Tour. All I'm hoping for is to get regular Pauline next. I would like to see more past spotlights like Peach (Kimono) and Peach (Wintertime) return.
