What game did you last play?!?!?!?

The Sims 4

I burst out laughing while this was going on and spilled my drink as a result. I was having a cute romantic affair between these two while a fight was going on in the background. Perfectly encapsulates how I tell a story-tell with this household.

Oh, and there was another casualty again. This time, Luigi laughed himself to death.

Luigi got lucky: he got pleaded to give his life back and the Grim Reaper was forgiving and actually went along with it! So that's good. I mean, I always have a magic Sim with Dedeadify too, that's how I killed and revived one of my other Sims over and over again but it's nice to see that her powers aren't needed this time.

Ok so I played Gta V.

These protagonists are absolutely deplorable human beings and I didn't get why, but now I see that makes commiting crimes as them a good and really fun thing.

Whatever, at least now she's gone...until postgame when the worst of this game's writing comes out and she's inexplicably back again. Ugh.

Idk if this really is the worst bit of writing when Bleck exists.

personally i like bleck more than luvbi

Bleck is an ass. He's an ass from beginning to end and he only becomes good at the end because of Tippi, not because he's good or has learned his lesson. He'd have sacrificed it all if she hadn't loved her at that moment.

And Chapter 2 is the worst one.

Chapter 2 at least isn't infuriating or anything, which considering some other chapters I went through is a good thing. Besides, 2-1 and 2-4 are actually pretty good and outweigh any flaw the other half may have tbh.

2-1 as a level is good. 2-1 as an experience is godly.

Another day, another brawl in the background, and another time a large percent of Sims in this household chug around with the "Dazed" moodlet due to getting beaten up a lot.

Kirby's Adventure (NSO)

I .. enjoyed it! Unlike the platformers I'm used to (having gown up with Mario platformers), Kirby's Adventure is slower paced, allowing the player to ease into it more easily. It's not painlessly easy or anything, I've encountered my fair share of challenge, but unlike Mario platformers, where the player needs to keep their eyes on the screen the whole time, Kirby's Adventure gives the player plenty of room to correct their mistakes. It's a nice change.

Holow Knight.

I'll state my opinion on it in Flip or Flop.
K I was wondering if that is a good game cause I have 20$ in eShop credits.

Finally beat Typoman! I was disappointed the game was so short.

  • Pros
  • Typoman really makes you wrap your mind around puzzles and creative ways to get out of your situation.
  • Take it from a dyslexic, The font was very nice and there were no lowercase letters to make it confusing.
  • The game Is very short, only Three chapters and the End.
If you are looking for a nice short game, try it out.
  • The story is nice. It portrays a HERO formed together by letters, summoned to save the land of UNFORTUNATE.
HERO meets an angel named HOPE (There is no dialogue BTW) who saves him countless times. HOPE eventually dies but with her last breath she sends HERO to the finale level. Did I mention this whole time he is trying to find his other arm? I don't understand it either. Typoman eventually beats the monster at the end by putting good words like 'hope' or 'good' or 'love' Into tubes that feed the monster. The monster eats HERO but his other arm is in the monsters stomach and it rearranges HERO to HOPER as near as I can tell, Typoman blows up the beast and brings peace to the land, dying in the process.
  • 1.0 GB storage and does not need internet to play.
  • You can play the game with one joy-con if you have to. (But I have a switch lite, boo-hoo)

  • Cons
  • The whole theme surrounding Typoman is very Dark. The story and colors. You don't get much variety besides Black, Gray and occasionally green.
  • The game Is very short, only Three chapters and the End. It left me wanting more.
  • It is very hard to finish some of the word puzzles while others are very easy.
  • The Journal quotes are very easy to find and I made it through the game without missing a single one.
  • The ending is very cheesy. It left a big impact on me because I thought the game was very fun and creative but ended poorly.

Over all Typoman was a good game and I do not regret buying it. I got it on sale for 7$ but I think the main price is 10 or 15$

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

So, until I can get a 3DS and Sticker Star (likely about two weeks from now), my Paper Mario marathon's on hold. Might as well use this time to prepare for the Pit of 100 Trials...

...The Paper Game in Pianta Parlor is easy as heck and is basically fast, free, unlimited Piantas. It's 67 Piantas for each Ultra Shroom or Jammin' Jelly, and you'd be surprised how many of each I've gotten this way. That Pit of 100 Trials will be easy as pie, especially because I already got the Strange Sack.

isnt it going to take like 3 hours

yeah but my eyes pretty much couldn't take it anymore when i tried.
plus my parents aren't really happy with me exceeding 2 hours playtime in a single day

Azure Strike Gunvolt

I might see if I can run through all the Gunvolt games, I think the 3rd game just got announced recently and I never actually did complete the second. I remember spending hours and hours trying to get S+ rank on Subaqautic Base, I had to settle for S rank because I could not for the life of me defeat the boss without getting hit. You need to; take no hits, beat the stage in time, get as many bonuses as possible, don't use skills (except for the finishing blow on a boss).

I might also just do runs on Gutless mode so I can listen to the weeb songs, since I haven't heard any besides the 1st Sumeragi stage and Subaquatic Base stage. Also it's not like I'm going for rank without the end-game equipment so I'm just playing for fun and then once I've beaten 1, 2 and LAiX I might try go back and S rank everything. And then after that maybe I'll try S+ but that might just be too difficult for me to accomplish.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Well, I did it. I triumphed the Pit of 100 Trials. I...definitely overprepared (I went in with 7 Life Shrooms and 13 Jelly Ultras), but better overprepared than underprepared! The pit is actually pretty easy for the first 80-ish floors, but beware because after that the difficulty really spikes. Bonetail was even harder than Shadow Queen as well, and much more difficult than I anticipated--I probably spent a half-hour fighting him. My mistake for not equipping Power Bounce. Oh yeah, the floor 100 reward? The badge you get (Return Postage) is alright, but the Strange Sack on Floor 50 is a far more useful item.

Oh, and on a related note...

Super Paper Mario

I also beat the Duel of 100 in Chapter 6, for real this time! It amazes me how much effort was put into the dialogue here...each Sammer Guy has a unique name and his own witty remarks before and after each battle. It...definitely had more effort put into it than the fights themselves, which were kinda repetitive and also kinda easy thanks to Bowser + Barry. Although, the difficulty seriously spikes at 6-4 (Sammer's Endgame), and it definitely sneaks up on you then. Oh yeah, King Sammer gave me some neat cards for the TTYD partners since I already got the Pure Heart in the story.

I had to do a lot of Amazy Dayzee grinding to get 10 Ultra Shroom Shakes, but I didn't overprepare much; I used 8 of them. I still have to do both Pits of 100 Trials, but they shouldn't be too hard to prepare for since I can use Emergency Rations. Oh yeah, also worth mentioning that I bought Tiptron from Francis, so Dashell is the only Pixl that remains.

how long did it take you?

Dude playing as Michael in GTA V as his spoiled children hate him while you save their lives sure makes me wonder how my dad feels sometimes.

Super Paper Mario

And that's the first Pit of 100 Trials in this game cleared. It was...easy. Easier than I remembered. I brought in 10 Emergency Rations, and I only used 4 of them. Wracktail is also a really underwhelming boss; after Bonetail from the previous game you would expect to take more than 5 damage. Dashell's cool at least, definitely makes traveling a lot faster. This pit probably took about an hour at most, so it was definitely a lot shorter than both the TTYD Pit and the Duel of 100.

Next up is the Flopside Pit...not looking forward to the fact that I have to beat it twice, but the No Flip Timer reward is pretty appetizing.

pretty sure its:

wracktail himself: 10
touching a wrackle: 5
wrackle electro ball: 10

personally i almost died to those electro balls but 14 year old me was a lot less good at the game than 17 year old me

Luminous Avenger iX

Holy shit Copen is so much fun to play, Gunvolt is the slow and methodical character in GV2 but Copen is the try to outrun the screen's camera character. And having a whole game centered around that type of gameplay rather than one that can be used for both styles is great. Bosses also seem to hit through Prevasion a lot, or Prevasion now takes up more bullets than I remember but bosses in GV2 were extremely easy for Copen; this time I died on the sheep Adept and got close to dying on the gravity Adept. The music is very nice. I did die on the tutorial which was sad but I got revived and the Anthem music is super good. I'd be happy with them continuing making Copen side games, the GV3 trailer has a new character that seems to be closer to a melee Gunvolt rather than an entirely new style that Copen brought to the table, but it's too early to judge besides they've clearly removed GV's Flashfield which will be either really good or bad.

Also only got an A rank for what I would have gotten a higher rank for in GV2 so clearly they've adjusted the score thresholds to match how easily Copen can build his score multiplier. The EX Skill I got from the sheep seems to be a non-damaging lock-on skill that lets me air dash directly to the enemy, that was useful.

Super Paper Mario

Curse you Shadoo. I come all the way to Floor 100 in the Flopside Pit, and you just tell me to do it all again, as if it was effortless. At least I get to keep my PM64 partner cards, but this pit is brutal. I genuinely despise it. Ugh...just one more time, and I never have to touch the Pit of 100 Trials again...

Also there's an enemy here called Dark Dark Boo. I don't know who came up with that but it sounds so dumb.
