but i thought mp 2,3,4,6, and 7 were good.

Didn't play the others though, well aside from 1 which was bad.

8 pales compared to its previous games (not counting Mario Party, because it did age terribly), but it plays similarly to them as well. Unlike Mario Party 9. Or Island Tour.

However, I'd still put 8 over 1, and here's why.

The game Shake It Up is hilarious.
So is Moped Mayhem (never thought I'd see Thwomp drive a moped).
Those control stick spinning games from 1 hurt.
A lot of the best games from 1 are in 2 anyway.

I enjoyed 8 personally. Then again I don't own many Mario Party games so I only compared it to 1, 7, and 3 (the latter only from watching TheRunawayGuys play it)

Scratch that, I'd want them to be those Happening Spaces in a Bowser Board.

Omg, that mini-game is my fav of MP9 too! I definitely agree that 9 > 8 in terms of Mini-games, but 8 >>>> 9 overall.

I finally got around to watching the Nintendo Treehouse thing on it, and I just...while the mini-games look fun again, I am so upset seeing that the boards will probably last 5 seconds once I play Bowser mode since if I'm Bowser, my family will lose all their health in the first mini-game.
