Super Mario Manga

Hold on, maybe it's actually a really outie belly button.

That's what my second thoughts are since Sawada does censor those parts (like you see a black dot censor thing on a naked Wario).

But I don't know. It's shaped like exactly what it looks like. '~'

I feel like Mario ("uh!") and Burt's reactions suggest it is what it is. And maybe it's not censored for the same reason Bart's "doodle" isn't in The Simpson's Movie? There's a difference between grown men's junk and what the comic seems to be depicting (guess Burt's prepubescent?).

Except outie belly buttons are depicted usually with an x in the middle.

And I don't think people get embarrassed by showing their belly button.

It has a lot of poop in it too, like a typical Japanese comic towards kids.

But I'm not surprised at all.

Oh my gosh, I'd like to see how this turns out. No doubt that it's useful. :)

Awesome. And ye gods that's a lot of text. The translator's got their work cut out for them.

Anyway, here's the start of the translations for the stuff posted a while back. I only had the time to do the first of the three scans, and I was getting tired and lazy by the end, tho (my 8 hrs of sleep over the past three days is starting to catch up with me)...

PAGE 1:

Narration: Mario and Co., who have collected the 5th Cobalt Star Shard,
Luigi: Big Brooo I'm tired.
Baby Luigi: I wanna rest.
Narration (cont'd): This is the story of what happens en route to Shroob Castle in order to save Princess Peach. [at least, that's the gist of it; fun fact: the first bit reads "Piichi-hime kyushutsu", like the anime film]

Baby Mario: It can't be helped. (literally, "there's no way")
Mario: Okay, only for a little...

L&BL: "gu~ gu~" (zzzz)
M: ...ts. That's not a little! That's resting too strongly!

M: Wake up!
L: Morning already?
ML: Uhh, let me sleep another 5 minutes.
BM: Are you a student of sleeping in!!

PAGE 2

M: Tch. You guys are so useless.
Tanoomba: !
"kasa kasa" (rustle rustle)

T: It's the humans I haven't seen in a long time.
Label/dialogue: Tanubou/Tanoomba

"Bon" (poof)
T: I'm gonna give them a little grief. [or something vaguely like that]

M: Alright, everyone, let's eat - there's a cake we've prepared. [again, roughly]
BM: All right! (yatta)
BL: Eat! Eat!

M: The cake's here... huh?
Tanoomba-as-Luigi: Delicious cake!
"baku baku musha musha musha" (munch munch om nom nom)

Sorry about that, but if I can read it myself, I will read it myself.

In somewhat related news, someone just created a page about a Starfy manga chapter featuring Wario.

W00t, more obscure manga, thanks to Chickasaurus. :)

In other slightly related news, Supper Mario Broth and Mario fandom gentleman extraordinaire MiloScat have translated the Club Nintendo Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story (y'know, the one with KISS) comics.

Well, as it turned out, that guy was a charlatan. Sadly, it was too late that I realised the so-called wizard was, in reality, a penguin breeder from southern Denmark.

Has anyone seen this before? I haven't.

What exactly is this comic called?

Super Mario Land: Yoshi's Egg for the first one and Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land for those other two.

Super Mario World: Yoshi's Egg, you mean. No idea what it's called (I've never seen it before either, to my knowledge), but the publisher's "KC Derakkusu" (KCデラックス), for what it's worth.

Yeah. Thanks, Walkazo. I mistyped there.

I believe デラックス is "deluxe."

Thanks. So, is there any series name to this, or is it just called "KC Comics"?
