Mario Party 9

I think probably not.

It's more likely a Mario Party 10 gets released in the Wii U than Mario Party 9 gets moved there.

Little is being announced because Fortune Street is similiar to it and they dont wanna talk about it so much that they wont buy fortune Street. Business Tactics my friend.

Still, Mario Party 9's release date is TBA while Fortune Street is set out to be released in a matter of weeks.

If they Tell people when it's announced, people will hold off until it comes out and ignore Fortune Street. Once Again, Business Tactics.

Why's That? Why shouldn't it exist? At least back up your claim before making it.

I can't wait to try out Fortune Street, I never played a Itadiki Street Game so it'll be a first.
Mario Party 9 Can Wait, I don't really want to see it just yet.

Just personal opinion. Or, if anything, they should have released Mario Party 9 first, because it's more popular and it would have sold more during Christmas. This, however, could be a double-edged sword, because if they rushed the game, it could be as bad as 8, or even worse.

Mmm...

Naaah, nothing can be worse than 8. And that one got delayed twice.

Theyre releasing Fortune Street First, thats their decision.
Mario Party 9 can easily sell horribly considering how bad 8 was, people wouldnt be like "The last one was good, I want this one"
It'd be more like "The last one was horrible, I'm not getting this"

Fortune Street and Mario Party operate very differently though. Fortune Street operates in a similar manner as Monopoly, which is not what Mario Party is affiliated with.

Theyre Both Board Games. It's like getting actual board games, your not gonna buy monopoly AND some other game, you'll choose one and leave it at that. Or if only monopoly is there, get that and when its outdone its use, theyll come back and see this new game.

I want Mario Party 9 as well, but its just business tactics for money.

Well as of today, we got a few more screenshots to look at as we await for this game. Here are a few of them:

Remember how people complained about the car? Well apparently there is a magic carpet now as well :P :

Maybe the vehicle changes depending on level? Since thats our first look at a different level and it's a different ride.

The magic carpet level, once again, reminds me of Subcon. I hope THIS time, we see some classic Super Mario Bros. 2 enemies...

For the first time in the franchise, boss battles crash the party and challenge players to compete to defeat a common enemy. In addition, players now travel across stages together in a vehicle towards a common goal - overcoming obstacles, battling bosses, and collecting Mini Stars stolen by Bowser™ and his minions.

It looks like the vehicle thing is the main mode, I don't know if it's for the better or the worse... (I still prefer play with the characters alone...)

Anyway, these screenshots are amazing! Can't wait to see more of this game. ;D

Me too...first Shy Guy Bazaar and now this! I really would like to see more SMB2 references as well. Wart as a boss battle!

Also boss battles? Awesome! Hopefully it is not only limited to Jr.. Anyways, even if the vehicle does become the main mode, I think we can all trust Nintendo to make it fun. :D

Exactly what I though. I want to see the SMB2 enemies and bosses in 3D.

Also the pizza minigame looks fun

I like how the game has a more vibrant colour to it in terms of the boards and characters. In Mario Party 8 and the e3 trailer of MP9, everything looked washed down and less toned. This may be a minor point; however, I personally think they did a good job of fixing it.

Also seems that both Bowser and King Boo are in as bosses. Hopefully we can get more bosses in (hopes for a SMB2 boss).

I like how the game is going so far. But what I really want to see is who is going to be playable in it (Baby Luigi....please :()

Huh, it looks like the four-player carry mechanic thing is going to be in more modes than I thought.

Hm, seems like there is something interesting from this update.

From this screenshot, there are boos as board features.

Just like what became of Dry Bones in the trailer, could this mean Boo will not be playable as well? There is still a chance; however, being featured as a board character does give me some doubts...

That's what stops Mario Party from being my favorite spinoff, Bowser isn't playable.

Well there was the Bowser suit; however, it wasn't the real experience of playing as Bowser.

You know what would be an interesting idea? Unlocking Bowser as a playable character after the main story mode. That could be interesting (perhaps he cannot be playable in the story mode; but he could in the multiplayer mode?).
