Things you didn't notice before in Mario games

The walking animation in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario.

It wasn't until Sticker Star went with a measly 2 frames.

If you fall off of the racetrack in Mario Kart 8, while Lakitu is carrying you, you will be immune to lightning bolts and blue shells

The Duke glows in sync with the music, just like the Badwagon.

It doesn't actually sync with the music. There's the illusion of it where animations try syncing up with the track, but if you replace the music in the course, the beats will still remain consistent.

Speaking of which, are we the only ones who noticed that Wario clearly has two losing animations (face-planting one and the face-covering one) while everyone else has pretty much one? I think Donkey Kong has two in Mario Party 4, though; one where he hits his head (like when he loses in Team Treasure Trek) and the other where he slams on the ground.

Birdo also has two. One where she lies on her side, and one where she sinks to the ground with her legs bent to either side.

Luigi stomps his feet when he loses, though I can't think of any other losing ones. Am I missing one?

Pretty sure everyone has two winning and losing animations in 7.
I'm fairly certain that at least the returning characters each have three winning animations. The two from the previous, plus one new one for each. I could be wrong, though.
As for losing, I'm not entirely sure. I play as Yoshi and Daisy constantly, and I don't think I've notice any different animations for them when they lose.

Peach actually has three winning animations. I know that she has the losing animation were she bends down, covers her face with her hands and looks to the right, but I'm not sure if she reuses the losing animation from 4 (were she bends down and doesn't cover her face with her hands but still looks to the right).

Mario has two winning animations, but I can't recall if he has a second losing animation.

I never realized Mario said "So long-eh Bowser" when throwing him far in SM64 until reading it on the Wiki. I thought it was gibberish at first, lol.

...now I can't unhear it v_v

Also, that the fish in the same game actually react to Mario getting close to them, they do o_o

surprise the fish has ai

Baby Luigi has less screaming artwork of him but still noticeable

This was before I looked at the instruction manual of Double Dash (which was my first experience with the baby bros, so I never knew about their previous appearances and artworks). I never played or knew about the arcade games until I came to this wiki eight years ago. And even when playing, I though their teeth were just their upper lips, so I thought that their smiles were more of a

than a :D

Once I cracked open the manual and looked at the character artwork, I realized I was a goof.

tbh I also thought the tooth was a upper lip in Double Dash. It didn't contrast well with the skin.

For a long time, I didn't think 0-Banana runs of DK64 were possible, but since I've seen one, I've done about 12 of them myself.

While this piece of artwork may not seem like much, look carefully at Peach's earrings. I love this amount of detail, though her earrings aren't always shown like this in artworks of her.

Swiftie_Luma pointed this out in the Mario Sports Superstars thread, and by the looks of it, Pink Gold Peach will use the same artwork as Peach for golf. This makes me wonder if they are going to put any additional details to Pink Gold Peach.

In 3D World, giant Piranha Plants can daze each other if they headbutt each other.

If you get Bowser through a hidden block in Mario Party 1 and you have no coins, he will give you one coin.

In SSB4 for Wii U, model swapping reveals that Rosalina's legs, unlike Peach's and Zelda's, are not fully modeled under her dress. This might explain why her legs never clip through her dress.
