This is a pretty quick turnaround from signing up to launching into the test. Before I'd be able to commit to anything, it'd help to have a bit more information.

-What happens if sign-ups don't fill up? Do things proceed with fewer participants? Will the test event be rescheduled?

-What timeframe is the test going to take place over, and how much active focus is required? In other words, would I need to set aside an hour for this? Three hours? Five hours? That kind of thing. And will I need to give this near-exclusive focus during that time, or will there be significant periods of downtime and this be something suitable for multitasking?

If sign ups don't fill up today I'll reschedule the game to Sunday. If they don't fill up on Saturday I'll reschedule the game to next Saturday.. And so on.

I'd say it'll probably take somewhere around like 4 hours.
It will require active attention but there will be a moment of downtime as I process stuff.
There'll be a short amount of time to submit actions. Like 30 minutes?

Then after the submission phases, I'll have to put stuff together, unsure how long it'll be, depends on the complexity of the submissions.
Maybe like 50 minutes.

Then we'll transition into the final phase, the investigation phase, and this will be much longer.
2 hours or so

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I'm going to sit out for the moment because this weekend doesn't work well for me to commit to that, but if sign-ups don't fill and it shifts to next Saturday, I might grab a slot.

Rescheduled to Sunday.
Sign-ups still open.

Next Saturday

Next Sunday.

Next Saturday
Reminder that the game will start and end on the same day :p

THERE'S BEEN AN OVERHAUL

This test shall take place over two days.

One day dedicated to submissions and putting things together.

The next investigating

-DAY 1 WILL INCLUDE-

THE PARTICIPANTS WILL ATTEMPT TO KILL ONE ANOTHER AND NOT GET CAUGHT

THEY WILL SUBMIT THEIR PLANS TO ME AND THEY WILL BE ENACTED

All players will submit their own three separate plans in a order in a forum DM.

Example :

Plan 1 : Murder Plan.
Plan 2 : Different Murder Plan.
Plan 3 : Another Different Murder Plan.

Then here comes my work...

When I take everyone's plans...

They'll all be played out in one map within ALTERNATE TIMELINES if you will. Yeah. Stick with me.
Three separate ones.

One where everyone's Plan 1 is played out.
One where everyone's Plan 2 is played out.
One where everyone's Plan 3 is played out

I'll send each player their accounts for each timeline.

Then the timelines will merge into one, aka I'll mash up the end results of each timeline of events...

Then the next day will come...

-DAY 2 WILL INCLUDE-

Participants will have to figure out who murdered who.

They'll be given basically the entire day to figure it all out and vote out three murderers.

Until the clock strikes I dunno bout 7PM-ish EST...

Where we'll see if "justice" was truly served...

This sounds complicated, yeah? Well I've done my best to simplify some aspects of this game to compensate for the three mysteries to solve.

The map will be very very basic. Only including two small floors with very straight-forward layouts.
Hopefully preventing each distinct timeline of events from becoming too elaborate.

Then when each timeline's end results are mashed up for the investigation we can have a fun solvable case.

Secondly, I'm considering possibly shrinking the player count to an eight.
It would lessen the workload further. That'd leave us with five players for the investigations which I believe would be fine? I would like to hear people's thoughts on this idea.
