Are there really any terrible Mario games?

Koops, King of Cowards.
I think he meant the actual controls of the game.

But yeah, your point still stands.

El Gran Gordo

Algún problema, señorita?
Yep, I mean everything's controlable regardless of whether the one who plays it has problems or not.

It's like if I had some jackpot machine next to me and it controlled well despite me being addicted to it. I'm not saying addiction is good though.

I argue that bringing up jackpot machine comparisons in the first place (in lieu that gambling's regulated and minors are barred from casinos) is not good look for the game.

It's your opinion and all but it's honestly really hard for me to think of anything that justifies its $40 price. Great concept that severely lacks in content, with exactly one party board, plus poor minigame balancing results in MP8 and MP10 being very poorly represented.

The infamous Tug o' War minigame is there too. Now who on earth thought that was even a decent minigame?

Mario Mechs isn't even in that one and it's agreed to be one of the best minigames in the series and if you don't think so, you're just a hater.

Originally I was going to mention that they fixed the major issue with Tug O' War in the Top 100s thinking that they did, but apparently according to the Wiki you still have to rotate the circle pad.

Nintendo, what the heck gives? You do realize how easily those things snap off, right? I mean sure, you aren't drilling a hole through your palm like you were with the Nintendo 64 control stick but couldn't you alternate the control scheme to button mashing instead?

This is true. I was stunned they brought back the control scheme, intact from the original game.

You got to remeber, the C stick on the 3DS doesn’t skin you like on the N64

Yeah, you skin the circle pad instead. In fact the rubber for my circle pad came off a long time ago.

The circle pad is harder to spin, is prone to snapping off (as several Smash players can attest), and there's no real reason for the game to use the circle pad when it could just as easily use a button.

I never had any problems with my 3ds to be honest, *except for on the OG 3ds top screen dying that one time....*

My circle pad snapped off during my Dark Moon playthrough last year, I tried gluing it back on but accidentally used too much and now my circle pad is slightly crusty.

It's functional, but it irritates me at the same time.

I can't testify to broken circle pads but the 3DS hinge is really weak and became the downfall of my 3DS. My sister's, too.

Hotel Mario, a terrible spinoff game so bad you'll wish you'd never been born while playing it. Seriously, the cutscenes while hilarious are not worth it.

As far as I can tell, the gameplay for Hotel Mario isn't really excruciatingly bad that I don't want to be born, just... woefully lacking. Really ugly game though.

Goomba
It is merely lacking at first. It becomes painful later. Believe me, I tried to get through it.

Ray Trace

You have entered the comedy area.
Eh, I don't think the game's the worst I'd ever seen, I'd seen worse, worse, worse games that I'd describe as "wishing you were never born" before Hotel Mario.

I imagine it has a somewhat "arcade-y" feel with the closing of the doors and what-not, not the most thrilling concept but it doesn't really seem like a dumpster fire on the surface.
