Your "head anti-canons"

Not only that but in the Japanese script of the games, Ashley talks about herself in the third person, which in Japanese is basically something only Stupid Babies do
highschool girls in anime do it all the time though if they're trying to make them seem cutesy or air headed so i don't think it's necessarily an indicator that they intended her to be a particular age. not that i disagree that 15 is probably older than they had in mind

The whole "Bowser turning Toads into stone" thing in the original Super Mario Bros. manual is also another one that I do not support.

The only time a Toad has ever been inside a block was during those rescue missions in NSMBWii where Mario and co. needed to escort them to a flagpole.

I don't care what Nintendo says. Mario's a whole lot shorter than 71 inches.

My headcanon is that Mario is 64 inches because N64 jokes give me life. Probably another reason the first three Paper Mario games appeal to me so. Screw the metric system!

Isn't the idea that the friends trapped in blocks referred to the powerups rather than Toads?

People never thought of this that way.

Some bricks happened to be traps for them, and those you could break just were ordinary blocks that were always there.

Bingo. The same manual that says the Toads were turned into/trapped in brick blocks says that the blocks that give items (which are unbreakable) are the one that are/contain the transformed/trapped Toads. Of course, the same people who believe that Mario "murders the transformed Toads" also think that it's the same Toad in the first 7 castles and that Sarasaland is just a desert.

Lots of unintentional alliteration in that first sentence.

I reject anything that says Bowser doesn't want to kill Mario.

And I don't see the harm in him turning Toads into blocks. He just hadn't bothered doing it since.

Toadette isn’t a member of the Toad Brigade

The Toad Brigade members are just normal toads, minus Captain Toad

Peach was not kidnapped nearly as many times as the games make it appear, and Bowser actually comes up with more creative plans.

Well, he generally does. It's just he's always kidnapping her ALONGSIDE whatever else he is trying to do and the games always make a bigger deal about saving her so that is what people remember more.

Heck even when other villains do it, saving her is what is often mentioned or brought up more than anything else.

All I can say is that Bowser is the most persistent villain in all of gaming history.

What about Dr. Neo Cortex? He comes up with machines that ACTUALLY WORK and stops at nothing to make sure his plans don't fail.

I mean that, despite his hundreds of failures (at the exact same thing, mind you) over a span of 30+ years, he's never even considered giving up, even though he's never once succeeded in these plans. Bowser's own quote from Dream Team's ending describes it perfectly:
Hear this! I will kidnap Peach OVER and OVER until I pull it off! And no one can stop me! Losing is not an option! And neither is giving up!
The only machine Cortex came up with that worked was the Vortex. Everything else somebody else made or he stole credit for making it.

Plus he loses points for being demoted to Uka Uka's henchman in every crash game after 3.

Jumpman is not the same person as Mario. I just don't see how. First off, If Cranky Kong was the original DK, how is Mario still 24 (His confirmed age) and Cranky is 80-something. Second, DK Junior (The Modern DK) killed Jumpman. Third, I don't see the resemblance besides both being mustached men in overalls.

It's a little thing called different species not having the exact same lifespans.
Second, DK Junior (The Modern DK) killed Jumpman.
Except by that game they'd officially settled on calling him Mario.

I can't help you there. Maybe this more recent picture of Jumpman will ring a bell?

It's called artwork evolution.

Also Gorillas live like, half the age humans do.

MARIO'S CHIN IS NOT THAT CLEFT.
Neither is Jumpman's.

And I think the Japanese artists knew that better than the localizer who drew the other picture.

How come there are two "Mario"s?

Hmm? HMMM?
Okay you got me there. Jumpman's clearly the only individual there could possibly be two of.
