People of the MarioBoards who have come all this way to see this attraction, I am afraid that chapter 13 has an unthought story! Without story, I can't continue the chapter and without that, this thread will eventually die!!! If you don't want that to happen (which I think a lot of people don't care about), you can still save the thread, by sending me a PM about some idea you have!

I'm counting on you, but I might also at some point have an idea myself. But anyway, I thank in advance anyone willing to help!

Okay, I need to do something to keep this thing alive.

How about we talk about more aspects of the game? Alright, that can be good.

So, graphic-wise, Paper Mario: Plot-Twisted is more reminiscent to the artstyle of Paper Mario Color Splash, with the level map being made of cardboard, everything looking hand-crafted, sprites with papery white outlines, and finally species looking more like their NSMB appearances.

Concerning music, it will have a jazzy style mostly, but some musics are more fitting to the theme of the level, such as Kappa Ocean having a music... I don't know how to describe it, but it would sound like Zora's domain from BotW, with that "crystal clear" style of music, or at least that's what I call it.

Now let's talk gimmicks. We already had paper curses, flipping from 2D to 3D, sticking stickers and painting. What could we have to make this game good? I'll tell you what. Some "exploits" the game teaches you to get to normally out of reach places. And do "unintended" stuff. You gain those abilities by speaking to shady-looking shamans, hidden throughout the world. For a bunch of coins, prices varying by efficiency of said exploit, the shaman will grant you that power. An exploit is activated by pressing a series of buttons one after another, in a specific order, in specific surface conditions.

I think that'll do it.

GUYS! Guess what! I'm actually figuring out what to do! Awesome right? I have already now chosen the main characters of the chapter, the setting, the intrigue, and most importantly, there are moments that are noteworthy that I have thought of. Though I will be continuing the chapter after the cruise, as only ghen will I find the right time to make considerable progress within the chapter.

Ok guys, it took longer than I thought to get Wifi, but in the time being, I wrote a big part of the chapter, and I can tell you, it's long. Either way, I'm sure you'll like it!

Before exiting Area 64, our friendly plumbers find themsleves trapped in the battlefield.
A Ninji: Nyanyanyanyanya! You thought you could go so easily?

Turn your back, and find the Ninji you fought many times inside the base. I just forgot to mention him, but still.

Ninji: You pesky plumbers are so out of your pesky minds!
Nina: Whattaya still want? We blew up your stupid base, now go home!
Ninji: For your information, gal with the weird sword, that is my home! How am I supposed to go home, pee-brain? You blew it up, just like yours!
Nina: Yeah right and... wait, what? You know the robber I am?
Ninji: Wait till you find out who I am, "sweetie"!

She has only just met him, yet there was something familiar about him....................... Let's dismiss it,it's probably just a strategy to weaken her! And probably nothing!

Meanwhileat fort Hackula, Hector and Victor come in and find Peach gone at their biggest surprise.

Hector: Wait, You, let her, escape?
Victor: You know, it is just too good to be true, like come on, HE, the vampire over there,let HER, the Princess, escape!
Hector: What does the word escape mean again? Oh, that's right! It's when you grt out of something, something we shouldn't let her do.
Victor: You know, I can't even imagine his face when he found out! It must be too dangerous to look at!

Hackula swoops in from behind.... they're in for a world of trouble!

Hackula: I know, it's funny, right? What's funnier is I'm listening.
Victor, rapidly: Oh hey hi how was the easter egg hunt and I am just making up everything I am saying because I am confused right now because you're here!
Hector: Mario got himself another code star, this is getting ridiculously ridiculous! We only have the easiest one to find! That is humiliating!
Shadoodle: Master...s, I am ready to intervene.
Hector: Ok. I heard Mario is in Miiyoto. Ho there, do your stuff.

Victor: Ok, what was that?
Hector: I don't know! I just said it! Like my instincts told me there was a code star there! Call me stupid, but I actually... ok, there IS one there!
Victor: How do you know that?
Hector: Believe it or not, the data that other code star injected into Hackula's body contained info about this place. Since it was in his core memory, it is apparently very important, thus that means that there could be one there.
Victor: Ok, that's great stuff then! So should we head there too?
Hector: Only to supervise Shadoodle!
Victor: Good Call!

Evilness overhears everything and sends the information to Mario.

Antonimus is now confused. He does not know where to go or what to do with Loss, the code star. You take control of him for a moment, him and the other ones that escaped with him. You find an Arabian lantern. You can enlight the area, which takes place at night. You come across a town in the desert. Antonimus is then happy and all excited.

Slave: What seems to make you happy, leader?
Antonimus: I CANT BELIEVE IT! THIS IS MY HOMETOWN! That's where I was born! I used to live here! Before I was a slave! This is the house I remember, this is the bed is slept on, these are the oysters and snails I ate!
Slave: Great! Could you please let us in with you until we find our homes?
Antonimus: Sure, you deserve it, guys!
???: Yes, you will stay here for the rest of your lives.
Antonimus: Who is this?
Brassus: You will serve me here until your demise!
Antonimus: But why are you doing this?
Brassus: Good question. See, those who dare measure themselves to us bromans, we show them who's the boss.
Antonimus: What makes you boss?
Brassus: Myself. You are seemingly inferior, and nothing opposes me from enslaving you.
Antonimus: Oh so now that means you're boss.
Brassus: That doesn't make you boss either.
Antonimus: How did you get here anyway?
Brassus: Oh, I just have made this place mine, I live where you used to live.
Antonimus: What? Let us just at least do something you wouldn't allow us to do!
Brassus: Silence! Or I kill you!
Antonimus: For disobedience?
Brassus: Absolutely! As I always say, Slave you were, slave you will always be! Because you're just a filthy, insignificant and stupid insect!

He pushes the ant from him, wounding Antonimus in the process. He is now realizing something. His eyes glow red of hate, his fists crackle, his teeth begin closing in together. He just forgot he got hurt. It was clear from his eyes he wanted to kill the Broman. He begins biting, slaping, scratching, punching...

Brassus: Enough! You will pay for your insolence! Tomorrow, you are going to fight for death, and if you survive, you will be enslaved!
Antonimus: Ok, guys, I won't be with you anymore. I'd rather die than give up my freedom. Once dead, I will be as free as the soul I will be.

What is going to happen? The worst is yet to come.

Meanwhile, at Area 64. Luigi and the partners with him have found the twelfth code star, regret.
Luigi: Mario! Guys! Look what we found!
Kooplea: And with that, we only have 4 left to find!
Lucifer: And all that, with no problem, right everyone?
Luigi: Haha! I guess so! We are a pretty good team after all!
Lucifer: Pretty good... you admit you like my company, roght Luigi?
Kooplea: Luce, stop being all mushy! We talked about this!
Lucifer: Oh, sorry, it takes me over every time! I am quite forgetful for my age.
Kooplea: So anyway, how're you guys doin'?
Penny: We fought, we won, a summary of what just happened. I guess we can go in peace!
Luna: Peace! Finally! I missed you so much? Wanna hug?
Block: We better get outta here fast, she's getting crazy!

Back at Champs-Elypsees, Prof. Majimi tells you everything Evilness said. An unexpected familiar voice pipes in.

Familiar Female Voice: Hey Mario! Luigi!
The Mario Bros. looked happy. It was indeed someone they knew, but not just anyone. Princess Peach had recovered from her unconsciousness.
Peach: Need help?
Luigi: We could use some help, but we're fine trust me.
Peach: But Luigi, I promised to come along! I wasn't gonna just sit there in the catle! Besides, there still is Toadsworth and my father! (Earth-shattering revelation, but yeah, she actually has a father called the mushroom king. If ya don't believe, look it up in the wiki.)
Luigi: I guess you could come, after all, you do seem to have self-confidence in yourself.

Peach has joined the adventure! Now she is one of the three playable main characters, and the last one. In battle, she uses her parasol and high heels to attack. They deal low damage, but ignore the enemies defense. Good against rock-solid foes!

So anyway, you should go to Miiyoto, according to Evilness.

Miiyoto is a big Metropolis with huge neon lights and screens and shops and everything and city has. It almost feels like the future. It is also the biggest movie-making place in the whole Marioverse! It is everyone's dream to come to this city and enjoy the leisurely life in the hotels, luxury restaurants and... a lot of gambling, apparently, casinos are also a big thing here, you will find anything to do! Even Merlon and Majimi want to come along!

Unfortunately, Merlon has to stay to study. Majimi though is coming. That also means you have Snifle will be with us and guide us.

Just go to the train station and since Miiyoto is a Metropolis, you will surely find it as a destination. Let's-a-go!

Stayzee: So anyway, dearest Princess, how did you manage to escape?
Peach: Well, I was helped. You know I gave you informations through the code stars right? Well, the code star I talked through helped me escape but stayed in the castle himself.
Luna: So that must be that guy we heard in the cave! So he's a good guy!
Nina: Well his voice was a teensy bitsy weird, but I guess can't judge someone by that!

So, anyway... MIIYOTO! As the name implies though, it is inhabited by... guess who? No you're not dreaming, in fact this is your worst nightmare... Miis! Yes, actual Miis, I said it, now bye

Ok that wasn't funny. Anyway, Miiyoto, that city...

The city is breathtakingly breathtaking. Everything looks so futuristic, maybe even more than the Chozo city.

Majimi: So Mario, I'll get our rooms in the hotel. You go try to find something about the next code star, 'K?
Mario: Oh yeah!
Block: Man, city is HUUUGE! We might as well never be able to find anything in this mess of red lights and technology! Is technology so confusing.
Penny: Says who? You are aware that you are in a robot's body, right? I mean maybe that's the reason you're alive right now!
Block: I guess that's true, but I gotta say I wasn't always a robot, so y'know.

Just explore the city, you'll find tons of things to do. You can even catch on some hot-dog stand and buy some efficient in battle hot-dogs, that will restore lots of HP and FP, and try also to buy the All-star hot-dog, which restores 3 SP, but costs 2500 coins.

Other stuff you can do is gamble... to get monies, but it's definitely not the best thing you can do. Though if you win, your opponent will make funny animations like Wario so maybe you can find that worth it. You can also, well, go to the hotel, Majimi has reserved rooms for everyone there. (Yes, your partners won't be sleeping in the same bed you will be sleeping in, professor). What you can do in the hotel. The hotel is a time where Mario is on his own. Your partners would just be minding their own business. However, if you pick a fight with someone in that case you are alone. You can eat at the buffet to get some items. Though a visit in the buffet would cost money, and the cost gets higher the more items you pick up. All the items there are dishes/recipes, save for some fruits and ingredients. At the hotel, you can obviously sleep, which as you know replenishes stats, yaty-yatty-yatta. You can also play minigames, which rewards you with useless or useful stuff. You can also watch shows in the hotel theater, but that doesn't really have a use, aside from actually hinting you on secrets hidden throughout the world.

If you're a nosy guy/gal like maybe me, you can also wait for your partners to get out of their rooms to enter them just before they close again. You can check out what's in their rooms, example Goombeddy's tablet, Luna's stuff, Lucifer's diary, and all that junk.

And we're not even done with that already, as there also is a pool in which you can relax and gain HP very slowly, but it's free. And Mario's on his own too here.

There are various shops around the city, in which you can even find outfits for Mario or Luigi, and maybe Peach (though these will be like wearing a badge). Some shops contain items (that are not food, as you already have the buffet for that), badges, etc.

Finally, you have the studio. There many movies are in production, there even are some nods to real life movies, which is cool, like Starman Wars, and a bunch of other ones I can't even make terrible puns out of.

Anyway, that does it for what you can actually do in the city. Though to progress in the story, you need to speak to some Miis, that will tell you about suspicious stuff about some laboratory located somewhere in the sewers. Though only one Mii will help you get there. And that Mii, ladies and gentlemen is one that looks like mine. It's the mayor of Miioto. He is always happy to have guests in his office, as even himself finds his own job boring and doesn't have friends... don't think he is supposed to be an image of me or something though.

Mayor Tadaomi (generic japanese name for a Mii): Hello! What can I do for you, sir?
Luigi: Well see, we heard about something beneath the city, in the sewers from the citizens. Do you know what it is precisely?
Tadaomi: Well, y'know, I have myself begun investigating that actually, but I can't say for sure we've really dug stuff in those sewers. We also gotta be careful about the city sewage, we don't want to break those pipes.
Peach: Wouldn't that mean that maybe this secret lab is located behind the pipes?
Rockbert: That makes a lot of sense to me. Is there something we can do about it though?
Tadaomi: Maybe, I'm not sure, but I can guarantee that I can help you with that. But what is your purpose exactly?
Rockbert: See, we are looking for something they call the code stars. We have already found some, and we heard there is one in this city.
Tadaomi: Code stars? Oh! Ok, that makes matters better actually, because I know someone who can help you. Professor Valldo is actually a researcher of those!
Rockbert: Great! Where does he live?
Tadaomi: Somewhere out of town. He's one crazy old man, so he lives in a house alone, isolated from others, save for his robotic assistant slash adoptive daughter he made himself. He says he has made her a sentient droid, but he's crazy, so I have a hard time believing him.

You find a house that looks like the Ancient Tech labs from BotW, and yeah, that's the house you are looking for. You knock at the door, and it opens an eye to scan you. As Mario and the others are recognized, the door opens slowly, but silently.

No one's home, save for one Isabelle-like robot that greets you with a smile. Her face is more of a little screen with the Isabelle-like dog face on it, but apart from that, she looks the same, except what is supposedly her skin is instead of course metal. It's not even painted, and it looks rusty. Despite that, she still looks kinda cute.

Cybelle: Hi! I am Cybelle, Professor Valldo's personal assistant! If you wish to see him, you will have to wait here for some time! Please make yourselves at home!
Spike: I can say the professor really is lonely enough to even accept the company of a rusty puppy!
Cybelle: I would also like to inform you that I have been programmed to have emotions by the professor, so please mind your words!
Spike: She even is aware she's a robot, I guess that's kinda like you, Block!
Block: Hey, I'm not an actual robot. Forgot that already?
Cybelle: Well, yeah, I am a robot, but I guess I am also confused about whether I'm alive or not.

Everyone looks at her with empathy in their faces, especially Block.

Blind: Hey look! Mario! The door!

A door opens somewhere in the room, as the silhouette of a villager from Animal Crossing is seen coming out. He had white hair, a pair of goggles, and a lab coat. He looked more like E.Gadd though.

Prof Valldo: Cybelle! Who are these youngsters?
Cybelle: Professor, these are, I presume, the infamous plumbers Mario and Luigi, Princess Peach, a clutch of nice people accompanying them and a cute half-robot!
Block: Why did she mention me separately?
Valldo: Wait? Ya mean DUH MERIO? Duh one that saves the princess from the other dragon?
Peach: Turtle. And yes, it's THE Mario, THE Luigi and THE Princess of the mushroom kingdom! And THE People who traveled with them!
Valldo: Well sir, I am just honored! Tell me, why did you come here?
Nina: Well see, we are trying to steal those stuffs you research, them code stars. You happen to know about one of those bad boys!
Valldo: It is true that I am a researcher of code stars, but it is extremely hard to locate one, you know, even a code star itself takes a while to recognize its siblings. But I'm telling ya', THERE'S NO STOPPING MEH! I will get my hands on one of 'em one day, brush it with my bare hands! It's my destiny!

And if you guys wanna get it, then you will get it, right! MY DREAM IS COMING TRUE!
Stayzee: You know we need you to find it though, right? We did not barge in just to tell you good news, we still need a lead!
Valldo: Yes I know, but I'm already looking here, darn it! I ain't gonna find the thing if ye keep bullying me like dat! BUT I'M TELLING YA ONCE MORE, I WILL HAVE MY CODE STAR, AND WHEN THE WORLD IS SAVED, I WILL KEEP IT AS A PET!
Cybelle: Professor, maybe that's enough swearing you will get the code star for today. I will get you now to sleep.
Valldo (Getting pushed to his bed by Cybelle): YE HEAR ME? ITS MY DESTINY!!!!
Cybelle: Forgive him, he's really excited about that code star. You may stay here for the night if you want, but if you have already reserved a hotel to sleep in then I won't stop you from going there.

The party goes out of the house and back to the hotel. They still don't know anything, but at least they've got someone to help them.

Though when you arrive at the hotel, many Area 64 troopers are seen attacking it and searching it for something.

Nina: Hey, you, sons of god of war! What're you busting here?
The Ninji from before: Oh look! It's Princess Thoughie! She's here to teach us a lesson!
Bob-omb: Oh no! We gotta get our guns ready!
Nina: Woaw there, first of all, why're ya here? Can't beat the juice out of you before actually knowing what you want!
Ninji: Ok, Now I'm gonna tell you sister...
The party, except Nina: SISTER??!!
Ninji: Shut it, losers! Yes, me be my sister's brother, what's big 'bout that?
Lucifer: No, I mean NOW you tell us you're her brother?
Kooplea: Luce, y'know, same thing happened with your father. Only told who he was when we actually got there!
Lucifer: So anyway Nina, is he truly your brother?
Nina: Yes... Yes he is. It's a long story, but I rather tell after we fight!

You fight only as Nina, 'cuz the girl doesn't want anyone to get involved with her story with her brother. Though the other one is so powerful Nina ends up unconscious on the floor.

"Yang" gets out of the hotel with what he wanted, explaining he too is after the code star. Nina is still lying inert, but still alive. The next day, she regains consciousness.
Blind: So tell us, Little one. What did happen between you and your brother so that you hate each other that much?
Nina: It's... One hell of a long story.
Blind: I am entirely listening. I too had a troubling incident, and so did most of us. Kooplea, lost both her fathers, blood and adoptive, Lucifer was forced to kill her father just after she met him for the first time in seven years, Luna had her family killed in front of her by heartless pirates, Block lost his human self and doesn't remember anything of his past aside the fact that he was not a robot! And I... watched my father slowly die as he spoke his last words to me! So please tell us.
Nina: If you guys say so.

Long ago, I was still so young, so innocent, I had a twin brother. We loved each other more than anything in the world, we were best friends, he was the only one I had. One day I almost drowned, he was here for me. The other day he almost drowned, I was here for him too. One day we both almost drowned but we had each other. Another day nothing happened. Our parents did not free one second to look after us though, even though my mother was with us all the time. None of them cared about us, so we looked after each other.
One day though, something happened.
Rockbert: One of you almost drowned?
Nina: One of us, my brother, had been in grave danger. I wasn't there this time to notice what pain he was going through. When I saw him, I was too afraid to approach the monster that tried to devour him. He never forgave me. He was a fearless warrior willing to help me at all cost, but I wasn't like him. I was a foolish a coward little girl back then, but from the day I became alone, I grew even more fearless, and independent every day after this. It was only then that my home was attacked by the Broman empire and we got separated for good. But if I had the chance to fix the mistake I have made, I would be more than ready to get my brother back.
Rockbert: That's such a big story! I wish I could help you!
Nina: There's nothing you can do about it, Rock Baby. This is between me, and him. Yang, my brother, and Ying me.
Spike: How cool! Like you're Ying and he's Yang, Ying-Yang. Wait, what's that, chinese?

They decide to go back to Valldo's. They are once again greeted by Cybelle who welcomes them in the house with another adorable smile.

Block: Heeeeeeyyyyyyy Cybelle, howzit going?
Cybelle: I am doing as well as I can be, thank you! And I have some news!
Goombeddy: Really? What's it?
Cybelle: I'll show you.

She plugs a cable into herself and a big screen that looks like TEC, on which her face then appears on.

Cybelle: See? I can now control this house's conditions, furniture and whatever is connected to the system! If I manage to hack into that secret lab you are looking for, you can easily get to the code star!
Goombeddy: That's great news! Where is Valldo?
Cybelle, unplugging herself from the screen: He is gone for some time. He told me he went to a mountain really close to the city. It's called Mt. Funji. It even is a landmark to the country. It's easy to find, as you can even see it if you step out of this house!

The team climbs on top of the Mountain, fighting Ninjis along with new enemies like Porguipines, porcupines that use their spines to play music and control other spines to shoot them at you (a porcupine playing music with cords AND that controls spines with sound? We got ourselves another Ash (character from "Sing") along with a new Yondu!), treezards, lizards that camouflage themselves as trees. The mountain itself has a snowy setting and is a volcano, but it is extinct, so it doesn't have lava in it. In the crater, is located a pagoda-like (yes, I know, that's Chinese stuff in a Japanese setting but hey.) structure where some sages are seen meditating. Out of them all, is seen sitting in the middle a Wise and old Ninji, with a full beard. His suit is white, and has a wide straw hat. Valldo is seen approaching the group of meditators.

Valldo: So, ye found something?
Old Ninji: Found what? We were not looking for anything precise weren't we?
Valldo: The... code star?
Old Ninji: What're you talking about? You never told us about anything like that!
Valldo: Oh! Sorry! Must be my obsession that's making me lost!
Old Ninji: Anyway, What are you looking for?
Valldo: See, those code stars? One of them used to be here I believe.
Old Ninji: You are talking about that useless thing no one cared about or wanted.
Valldo: It's true, even I didn't want it before I actually put some research into them! But apparently they are necessary to save the world!

The Old Ninji, who goes by the name of Sensei Nyung, laughs incredibly hard, (like if Drax ever heard a joke.) and so do all of the others. They don't seem to know code stars are the thing that will eventually save the world if collected by Mario. The fact that Valldo himself is a little crazy doesn't help either.

Valldo: Look, everyone, I know I have gone crazy over that thing, but truly, you must listen to me! I even know someone who can prove you wrong!
Just at the right moment, Mario steps in.

I put in hard work to that thing. I just hope it's worth it. Chapter's still not complete, so yeah, buckle up those unexistant seatbelts for the rest of the chapter.

Valldo: Look, everyone, I know I have gone crazy over that thing, but truly, you must listen to me! I even know someone who can prove you wrong!
Just at the right moment, Mario steps in. Nyung is like:

Nyung: What? What do you want? Man in the overalls?
Penny: Oh geez, I don't knowwww, maybe we're presumably looking for the code star? Like seriously, Mario, Luigi, Peach and a bunch of people no one knows about? Have you ever heard of that?
Nyung: I spend most my days and hours and minutes and seconds here, I don't go out much. But I know a thing or two about those who are on quest to save the world.
Stayzee: Well that is certainly great, my fine man, because the code star is what we need to save the world!
Nyung: You know if I knew more about it I would've handed it no Probs, but see, the problem here is it got stolen by someone no one knows about. You will have to track him down.
Valldo: Guys, this is why I came, I needed us all to concentrate on it so we can know about its whereabouts. I know you still have it in you!
Nyung: Ugh! If that's what you want!
All of the meditators and Valldo assemble in a circle. They see something. You can see it too, it is a bubble floating just above them. You see... The code star! In a place that looks rusty... red mist? What's that? It scares me, reminds me of Giygas. A Ninji? He is putting stuff in a glass ball, stuff that looks so alieny. Maybe Area 64 shenanigans again?

Nyung: YEAAAARRGGGHH!
Valldo: What is it?
Nyung: I am having a heart attack! That's too much!
Valldo: Put it together, you can make it!
Nyung: Nah, just kidding, wasn't really dying, just faking it but seriously, that was horrifying!
Stayzee: Haha! What a jokester!
Nyung: What you saw there was something that is going to scare you. This mist... is the soul of an alien race still unknown to us. Though that mist is very powerful, as it is invincible to any single attacks you dare make. And when it attacks, it almost kills you, so you gotta be careful if you ever want to go near that thing. And I can also assume that this rusty place is not part of the city, as it is located in the sewers.
Block: So that's what the secret lab thing's all about? Putting alien jelly in glass balls?
Nyung: The soul is not hostile towards the ones that use it, as it does not have intent to kill. Only the one that controls it decides of what it does! It's like a bounty hunter, but it doesn't get paid!
Chillianna: So, do you mean if we try to get it for ourselves, we too'd be invincible?
Nyung: I guess yeah, as it does not care about who has it. Though if the soul regains its body, it will be hostile to everyone!
Chillianna: WHAT? IT CAN GO BACK TO ITS BODY?
Nyung: Hey, I told you, it's scary, I know. You think these goosebumps are because I'm old? I'm just terrified, that's all!
Chillianna: Yep, something's going on.

After that, they come back to Miiyoto and tell the news to Mayor Koops Tadaomi.
Tadaomi: WHAT? It's worse than I thought then! But How're we gonna find the secret lab then? Remember, we still haven't located it as of now, and if it's behind the pipes of the city sewage, we can't do anything about it!
Lucifer: We know, but like is there a way to not break the pipes while still opening them?
Tadaomi: Maybe, but that also might take some time. Why don't you look around the city for now?

When you go out, you see the news reporters with cameras and microphones. Something's happening.

Lucifer: What that all about now? Why is the news report things here?
Goombeddy: One might say they are heading to the Studio. Maybe we should go there too then.

At the studio, The red mist is seen everywhere. And like I described it, It looks like Giygas, except a lot less creepier.

"Help! We're still inside this bulding!"
Block doesn't hesitate a moment. He quickly hovers in the red mist and goes inside the building. He doesn't seem to get hurt. He gets the people out by putting them below him as he hovers back out of the mist. The people are in a state of paralysis, as they don't appear to move, but they are still breathing and can still speak clear words.

Block: I figured my robotic body wouldn't get hurt in that thing, so I just went in.
Luna, going nuts over him: Man, such a lifesaver!
One of the ones saved by Block was the hot-dog merchant. He is from a species called the Blurrn, a fiery and blurry species which blinds everyone who looks at it for a few seconds, just like the sun. Its fire is fatal, as anyone who touches it can go in a coma, and when the Blurrn intentionally tries to make fire, it's even worse. Its fire is just the hottest there is.
Blurrn: Ahh, Dude! If it wasn't for you square guy, I would've died!
Block: Nah, don't thank me, thank the doctors who actually made me like this!
Blurrn: Anyway, How 'bout I give you a free All-Star hot-dog? You deserve it!
Block: Nah, we're good see, we don't need hot dogs to get code stars.
Blurrn: Wait... Did you say code stars?
Block: yeah...
Blurrn: OH GOD! They're actually real? And they are used to save the world?
Block: ... yeah too I guess...
Blurrn: (Wait, those code stars must cost a fortune! What if I accompany them so that when the world is saved, I can sell one of them! I'll be set for life!)
Ok! Y'know what, 'stache dude, I'm coming with you! You don't want to go on an adventure without someone like me, I'll tell ya! Name's Blurrgr!
Blurrgr, the Greedy Blurrn we just met joins your party. He is a fire being and so has the ability to burn wood and paper and other things. You can even make a campfire to stay around in areas where you can get lost.
Blurrgr: So, Where's the star?
Kooplea: We can't say yet, we're not sure, so you gotta stay all the way with us! Got it?
Blurrgr: (Oh no! Lady scares me! It's ok, act cool!) Yeah sure!

Other people saved by Block includes what appears to be some creature with big eyes. He claims to be called Daewand.

Daewand: So you guys said you are looking for code stars, right?
Blind: Yes, but what do you want exactly?
Daewand: I can tell you I don't know where it is, but I am telling you, if you want it, don't go in that cabinet at night!
Blurrgr: Yeah okay, we won't do that! *wink*.
Daewand: Yes, you don't wanna go there I promise you you don't. *wink**wink*
Block: Yeah whatever let's not go there because we've been warned. *I mean seriously what if he's trying to lure us?*
Blurrgr: Yeah you're right. *If we're gonna find the code star doing this then I'm in*
Luigi: *Yeah, it's our best bet*
Nina: *'K, now can you now stop whispering?*
Kooplea: That is getting annoying, gotta agree with that.
Daewand: So ok guys. I won't see you in that cabinet at night!

Luna: Ok everyone, so what do we do?
Peach: I guess that guy was serious. After all, it's all we got left to do. Let's all go back to the hotel, but let's not sleep in, because we gotta wake up at night.

Everybody goes to their respective rooms and sleep for some time. Mario wakes up somewhere at night and goes to the lobby, where he meets everyone else. Blurrgr comes in the hotel at this time.

Blurrgr: Ok guys, let's get going.
Lucifer: I'm pretty sure we must stay cautious though. Just in case!
Blind: Do not worry everyone. I will protect you!
Blurrgr: Yeah whatevs!

They go in front of the cabinet.

Voice: What's the password?
Chillianna: What? No one told us any password!
Nina: Must be something we're gonna have to find, fellow robbers.
Voice: Yes, actually, the password is hidden somewhere in this studio. Watch for the night-watchers though, they're not very happy to see people here at night.

You begin searching the studio for the password. The Guards will take you out of the studio if they spot you, and many bandits can be seen trying to steal stuff. Even Bob-ombs made their ways there, as well as other Ninjis.

After you find it, you can now enter the cabinet.

Daewand: Behold it's me Daewand I was that guy the whole time. Anyway guys follow me.
Lancebob: This is just an old shack, my friend.
Daewand: Not just any shack! It's an old shack that contains a super secret lair!
Lancebob: ... Yes, continue, my good sir!
Daewand: Oh yeah, that's the moment I push the secret buttons!

He goes on pushing a series of buttons. And then a Microphone asks to hear his voice. He sings some retarded song and then the ground opens, and everyone falls through (even your partners that fly/float/hover). You are now in Daewand's lair.

And even though he sounds like a loser, he actually has a whole gang for himself.

Daewand: Mario, everyone, meet Hinn, Span, Loak and lil' Mike (a giant fat guy).
Spike: How did HE fit in that hole?
Daewand, holding a bunch of papers presumably a speech: So I welcome you guys to the "code-star-finding club". Here assemble everyone who wants to find the code star. Here, everyone that has joined my club was rejected by people, including me. But instead of wanting to get revenge, we have assembled to become known as heroes!
Lancebob: Actually, we have not really been rejected!
Daewand: I know, I got you here to help us, Mario. I have always been a fan of you. I admired the way you busted your way into Bowser's front door and kicked his turtly butt. With your help, we will get this code star and show everyone we are heroes!
Rockbert: Y'know, I would like to help you if that was the reason, but isn't there anything to it?
Daewand: Nah, don't worry, we will hand it to you when we get it, so you can save the world. But the fact that we'd get it for you makes us heroes. Understand that? Don't worry, it's not any sort of trick or anything, it's true! We are just asking for help!
Hinn: You know, you don't have to actually help us, just tell us what we gotta do.
Span: Yeah man, be cool. We won't eat you or anything.
Loak: We can as well do this without you, we would still have to hand it to you! The world needs that, right? You have all the other code stars, I think.
Blind: Technically, not ALL of them, but most of them.
Lil' Mike: Me don't need help, me smash way through!
Daewand: We already talked about this, Mickey Mouse! So Mario, Luigi, all of you, will you help me, us? Please?

He makes cute puppy eyes. Now you can't resist accepting.

Daewand: YAYYYY!!! Thanks Mario! Guys! We're on! Ok Mario, meet us tomorrow night to discuss the plan. Now go back to sleep!

You go back to the hotel. You sleep. You scratch your butt once because it's itchy. You wake up. You fall over one of your slippers. You meet your partners in the lobby. You go out. You go to Valldo's house once again.

This time, both Valldo and Cybelle are in the house both greeting you with a smile. Though Valldo looks creepy as he's almost toothless.

Cybelle: Everyone! Guess what! We have found out about the whereabouts of the secret lab!
Valldo: Cybelle, show them.

Cybelle plugs herself to the big screen and prepares a presentation to the party.

Cybelle: So I went in the sewers yesterday to look, and thanks to my built in sensor, I managed to track down some intense source of power! Behind some pipes!
Goombeddy: Ok we're doomed, we are not supposed to go behind the pipes.
Cybelle: Though there is a way you can get there! A scanner exists next to them, they would scan anything in front of them. If you find an access card that corresponds to the lab.
Penny: You sure. Can't it be a scanner that scans people?
Cybelle: Actually that is impossible. I spotted a bunch of those thieves gong into there, one after another. Scanning their DNAs, I can assume that their genes are drastically different one another, and that scanner was a low-res old scanner model, it couldn't save enough codes to be able to scan all of them, so they all use identical card keys.
Valldo: Ye gotta say, my Cybelle here's a genius!
Cybelle: Thank you professor! Though that lab does not seem to have too many things connected to its system, as it is an apparently low budget, as I can tell from the scanner itself! Only doors and other stuff that needs a card key can be controlled by me. Though if I find anything else that will help you, I most definitely will use it to our advantage!
Goombeddy: ........... that's actually a brilliant plan. I should consider getting my own brain manufactured by a crazy old man!
Block: How Cybelle! Way to go! You're awesome! Though wait a second! I can't shake the feeling I know you from somewhere.
Cybelle: Sure you know me!
Block: No, I mean from before we actually met. Why do I have this feeling?
Cybelle: I do not know, you never looked familiar to me when all of you first walked in here!
Valldo: Wait... are you? No nevermind, I was thinking of someone else!
Penny: Ooookay, that was weird, but I gotta say, what do we do now?
Lancebob: My guess is we tell the mayor! He'll be relieved!
Lucifer: That is about the best I can think of, right now. Let's do it!

However, when they get to the mayor's office, they find him face down on the desk. A moose tranquilizer was shot right in his forehead, he appears to just be unconscious. He then suddenly wakes up.
Tadaomi: AHH! Wuzzat?
Kooplea: You were asleep. It looks like someone tried to do something to you!
Blurrgr: Well, guess we got ourselves a mystery, gang. Yieh-peeeeeee!
Goombeddy: What're you whining about? We are close to getting the code star!
Tadaomi: Wait, ASLEEP? I am never asleep, except when I actually say I'm not sleepy! I always have an eye on something very important and... *looks on the walls, sees a place less dusty than the rest.* Oh no! It's gone! WHAT'RE WE GONNA DO NOW?
Nina: Woah, calm down facial ape! What's gone?
Tadaomi: My wallet! Oh nevermind it's in the drawer. Ha! Here it is! Okay so where's the other thing I was looking for and... Oh no... ITS GONE! My super precious Ultra Hammer!
Nina: Don't understand. What's that for!
Tadaomi: The door to that secret lab? Valldo told me there were blocks only breakable by an ultra hammer, so I wanted to lend it to you guys! But now it's gone!
Spike: Great, How're we supposed to get in now?
Blind: I guess we have to wait for some miracle to show up!
Luna: C'mon, let's tell the bad news to the creepy guys.

They go again in Daewand's lair. They tell the news.

Daewand: Aww man! I was so excited! Can't believe someone went on and ruined everything man, we were having a plan!
Lil' Mike: Me so angry! Me kill everything I see!
Loak: Look, Lil' Mike, if you kill everyone, it'll be even worse!
Span: Well yeah, at least Boss can figure out a plan! Right Boss?
Daewand: No, sorry guys! I guess we gotta call it off!
Hinn: Hey Boss, we can still hang, right? Besides, we can still find another way!
Daewand: I fear not, boys... Though I would like to hear your plan, Mario, sounds like you put work in there!
Mario: Okay!
Luigi: Well see, some friend of ours located a secret lab in the sewers, we were gonna go in with the help of a key card from one of the soldiers. Once in there, we would have to use an Ultra Hammer -which was unfortunately stolen- to continue our path. Then, our friend, who was a robot, would hack into the lab to control most of it. That way we'd easily get to the code star!
Daewand: Sounds like an awesome plan to me y'know! I would definitely do it if we had the chance! Anyways, it was nice talking to you Mario!

He walks out of the room.

When Mario gets out, he sees Loak, the Oakley between the ones in the gang.

Loak: Hey Mario! Come closer!
Mario: ???
Loak: You might not believe me, but I actually gotta tell you something. I was a soldier of Area 64, I think I can help you! They don't know that I am against them. They'll let me in, and that's the moment you come in!
Lancebob: That is great, my friend! Let us inform The Professor, we'll have to call him in!

He is informed, via Loak's cellphone.

Block: Professor Valldo, we found a way to get in! Meet us in the sewers! And don't forget to bring Cybelle!
Nina: Man, can't believe my brother's the chapter's boss! But I guess this is for the greater good!
Goombeddy: So, Block, about that, actually, you did say you kinda remember Cybelle from somewhere, but when exactly?
Block: I don't know, but I definitely remember her! She just looks so familiar!
Goombeddy: Or is it just something else?
Block: What else could it be?
Goombeddy: *wink*
Block: *facepalm*

Valldo: So hey, Mario! Ye ready?
Blind: Right now, we are more than ready!
Loak: Ok guys, remember, stay behind the wall, when I put on the signal, you get in, 'K?
Cybelle: Great! I'm super excited, I'm gonna help you save the world!

Loak gets inside, unknown to be an ally of Mario by the soldiers in the lab.

At some point, the scanner of key cards begins nodding, as a signal for Mario to come in, but before he does so, Loak tells him that he still needs a card key if he ever wants to go through the first doors, before Cybelle actually hacks the place. So he fights some enemies in order to hopefully get on of them. After reaching the control room, a drawer is seen containing an Ultra Hammer.

Chillianna: That's weird. Why is it here?
Nina: It was stolen, duh. My troublemaker of a brother must've known we were heading to this junkyard!

Anyway, You finally get the Ultra Hammer! It lets you break the hardest of blocks!

Valldo: Yes! My moments with the code star are approaching! Cybelle! Plug yourself to the main computer!
Cybelle: Yes, Professor!

She plugs herself to the big screen and is now able to control every thing in the base that's connected to the system. To do that, you have to go to the map of the "dungeon" (and yes, every single dungeon has a map given to you in one of the rooms, much like some zelda games) and select the thing you want to control. Though Cybelle can only control one at a time, so keep that in mind. Also, you can only control stuff in the rooms you already visited.

You can turn off some security cameras doing that, even hold switches pressed and use Nina to avoid surveillance while also doing that, which can get things interesting. Sometimes, you also got to leave one partner to let them do something. That is one cool infiltration mission.

Then, a some point, finally, THE CODE STAR!! Though don't think you'll get it so easily, cause Yang's just right there!

So anyway guys, I thought it would be nice to present you with Blurrgr now that he has been revealed.

Blurrgr is somewhat of the opposite of what the other partners. Instead of trying to save the world like the others, he's pretty much trying to save himself and his own money. Nevertheless, he still is a quite useful member of the team. He settled to live in Miiyoto to sell hot-dogs, but business was not really looking his way apparently, as his stats dived down literally. He has the ability to burn wood, paper and other flammable material, and can also start a campfire, which has its own purposes. Blurrgr is obviously not into the team, but his motivation to get a code star and sell it at high price makes him really a guy that wouldn't hesitate to go inside the danger. He is though quite greedy and has a very short fuse. If something gets in his way in the irritating moments, he is most likely to kill a whole civilization if not calmed.

There is Blurrgr. Even though he's not my favorite, I can definitely say he's in the top 6. So anyway, see ya when I update chapter 13! And before I stop, can I tell you that Chapter 14 is a long chapter too? Don't worry though, I don't think it's as long as this one, but heyyyy though we never know.

And yes at this point we all know that the only required partner left is in that chapter, so obviously maybe that's the chapter where we find my favorite partner in the whole game? See ya.

Yang: What's the hurry, sisterous sister? Still wanna save that world that brought you so much pain?
Nina: The world almost killed me, true, but it is the place in which I met with my brother!
Yang: I know! You don't care about him anymore, so the world doesn't matter anymore, doesn't it?
Nina: No! It still does! Because even if the world's one big jerk, I still love my brother, more than anything! And if you are too stupid to understand that, then be it! You can walk away, thinking that I don't care about what happened, but I was a cowardly person back then. But if you hate me that much to forgive me, then go on! I don't care!
Rockbert: Y'know what? I feel like he wasn't even listening to what you just said! You still sure you love him that much?
Yang: Y'know what, I forgive you. Get over here!

At the least excepted moment (which was expected), he pushes her back, flying at some seriously damaged walls, seriously wounding her in the process. She won't be foghting along you!

Yang: And now plumbers, it's time to die, and after I'm done with you, I'll destroy her!
Rockbert: How're you gonna stop us anyway, shrimp? We're all against you!
Blurrgr: I've only met you, though he doesn't look like someone who would've actually said that!
Rockbert: So if you're too afraid to fight us, you can as well go to your room! Thing is, your sister is the nicest person I've ever known, and if you can't give her the love she deserves 'cause you are too stupid to think she could possibly help you do anything, then you're wrong! Like, you're just dead wrong!
Yang: Wow for some reason you even sound like her right now, anyway, how am I gonna beat you? Oh yeah, I have this baby over here!

He unveils a machine containing the red mist. He gets under it and gets the mist on himself.

He then turns into a supersoldier, with muscles, abs, you name it. The red mist even covers his body! Thankfully, Valldo and Cybelle come at just the right time, as Cybelle modificates the air conditioning system and gets it to spew a gas to which the red mist is sensitive.

BOSS CHAPTER 13: SUPERSOLDIER YANG.

That, is, seriously the strongest Ninji I've ever seen, Yang, who occupies a big role in Area 64's grades. Max HP is 75, ATT is 6 and DEF is 2. He... actually sounds pretty easy to beat, Ninjis really are not a big deal, save for our friend Nina! I think he'd just punch around, seeing he's just a dumb and lazy guy. Really, we've gone through a LOT worse.

So yeah, that is so easy of a boss fight. Wait a minute. That was really way too easy. Isn't there like, a catch to it?

There is! A powerful beam strikes Mario, blinding him in the process. The beam seems to have come from a creature with big eyes who looks like a robot. It's none other than Daewand.

Loak: Boss? Is that you?
Daewand: Yes, I know.

He snatches the code star.

Loak: What're you doing boss?
Daewand: Isn't it obvious? I'm getting the star!
Loak: Wait what? Whattaya mean? Didn't you say you were canceling the plan?
Daewand: Oh so you still haven't figured that out! Let me explain. I actually work for Area 64!
Lucifer: Yeah, I too thought you were suspicious at first, and I was like "he looks like someone who would go on and backstab you"! I was even ready to tear myself apart on purpose just to prove you were a bad guy!
Daewand: Yes I know, I'm suspicious! I made it seem I needed your plan so you could go on and split the beans! And now I lured you in here, I can stop you and get the other code stars from you, genius, right? I even said I was canceling the plan so that you'd desperately look for a way to get in!
Loak: But Boss, why?
Daewand: Code stars, world domination? I know, it's bland, but also great! Area 64 will rule this whole wide world and a bunch of others, AT THE LEAST! And yeah, enough with that stupid gas, die, vicious adorable little puppy!

He stabs Cybelle with one of his cable tentacles, stopping the gas that helped you and rendering Daewand invincible, as well as "making her lose all her HP".

Block: NOOOOOO!!!! What're you doing? I saved you, and you go on and kill someone I know?
Daewand: Yeah there's also that, I faked being in danger too. So that suspicion possibilities are slimmer.
Valldo (crying): You monster, you dare try to kill my most beloved adoptive child, after my dear Gary was taken away by my own colleagues! They tore him apart and put him back as a robot! Now he probably doesn't even remember me, and is lost, somewhere, out there, in Yesterdaycity, maybe wondering about his past!
Block: Wait... whaaaa? *Shock*

Block now remembers his past. He remembers getting adopted by a scientist, who took him into his care, remembers having his back protected by Cybelle, who he considered his sister. Block is not himself anymore. Just like what happened with Antonimus, he is in a state of extreme rage, as he jumps on Daewands' head. But he gets pushed exactly on the same wall as Nina, and he too is now heavily wounded.

Cybelle: N...Noo! Professor! Please! Save him! I feel he's worth more than me!
Valldo: No! Cybelle! I am not losing you too! I lost Gary, you are everything I got left, screw the code star! You are way more important than me!

Daewand: So, Mario, thanks for everything! Now begone!

TRUE CHAPTER 13 BOSS: DAEWAND.

Now that I am paying full attention to him, he's actually Daewand from the once famous movie where he was the star. His movie though got canceled because of the death of an actor during development. Max HP is 150, ATT is 10, and DEF is 4. His attack pattern is complicated: He can shoot beams of lights out of his big eyes to blind, and use the three rectangles on his head to shoot a powerful laser dealing 10 damage. He will also sometimes float, forcing you to jump on him instead of using your hammer. He also ahs a multitude of other attacks that vary in power, but he is very powerful! But even now I don't feel scared, I just want to kill this dastardly crowned punk!

After he is defeated, he explodes into bits, leaving only his head as a trace of his existence. Though then comes out of the shadow, Kolonel Klein.

Klein: Well, Mario, Blind, it seems you have defeated my most powerful soldier, though it is unfortunate, as you perish right. Here!

He holds a superpowerful missile canon and fires it at the party, though no one got hit.

Nina: What? NOOOO!!
Yang had given up his life to help save the world.
Yang: It's over for me sis, no more games. And also... before I die, I want you to know..... I.....'m ....... s....... orr.......yyy..___________

Nina then bursts into tears, as her brother had just disappeared from life, after he has been a total jerk.

Block then himself finally wakes up.

Block: Uhh... professor Valldo?
Valldo, over Cybelle's mechanical body: Yes?
Block: Is she alright?
Valldo: It doesn't seem like it, her artificial heart is irreplaceable!
Block: Don't worry, I'll make sure she's fine. Also, Professor or, I mean, dad. I remember.

Valdo and Block hug each other, as a smile can be seen on Cybelle's face, as a sign that she's still alive.

Anyhow, Kolonel Klein is arrested, and retrieved from Daewand's remains, Loak gives Mario the thirteenth code star, curiosity.

Sorry for the more depressing tone this time, but you cannot deny that this chapter was epic, and definitely the best of all to me. Next time, we'll see what happens with Antonimus as we get to chapter 14. See ya!

Ok, guys so Daewand was actually a very new idea for a boss, and thus, I didn't draw him before, but I will post him here eventually.

And Yang is just a Ninji with a head band. Nothing special to see here!

In the meantime, I'd like to discuss about stuff in the game.

First of all, let's get explaining some names.

Blind gets his name from the fact that he's Blind, but also because since he is from Bleck's species, I needed something that started with "Bl".
Kolonel Klein is an alliteration, with the "K" to explain Klein's connection to the Kenters, a very generic enemy which is a circle with a sword (though no-one really uses swords in wars now).
Bloack's name is derived from Block and Black, even though every singke blockbite except Block himself are black.
Chillianna is pretty self explanatory in the fact that her name contains "chill".
Chillimpa's name though is taken from Impa from the LoZ series, but specifically her BotW appearance, where she is much older than the other incarnations.
Picky because Pickaxe.
Yang's is, as hinted by when I explained Nina's name, the second half of "Ying-Yang." Everything is now so clear about that.
Daewand has a cape, which makes him look like a wizard, hence "wand". Deaw corresponds more to Daewoo, a brand of cars, and even Daewand's face looks like the logo. I've also seen that Daewand was a name given to some people in some country.

And now, let's talk about more stuff!

After the story is finished, I will be sharing every beta idea I had I can remember, as also the game was pretty mediocre back then, I even reused some old Paper Mario partners for lack of originality for crying out loud! And you know what, I feel like it would be good to have a moment with each partner like a small interview to further discover them. And also as Roserade suggested once in this thread, make a full in depth description of the worlds found in the game.

Some of the characters I am planning to draw are, a redesign of Kooplea, and maybe Penny cuz she has some pretty messed up colors. If you also want another partner to be redesigned, just tell me, I'll fix it (or at least I'll try!) So anyway I was talking about things I was planning to draw. At some point, I am going to draw Daewand, who I didn't draw yet because he's a fresh new idea from when I was out of ideas. At that point I was desperately looking everywhere and try to turn anything I find into a character that I could involve in the story in some way. I then saw the logo Daewoo on a sign, and had familiarized myself with I Isabelle, the reasons why Daewand and Cybelle exist. Yeah speaking of her, I might try some time to draw her just for practice, though it won't be that hard if I use Isabelle as reference. Other stuff include the boss of chapter 14, which's idea I had before, but he changed, so the way I drew him now looks bad. There's also Brassus, which is kinda relevant to the story, I mean he's one of the bad guys you see many yimes throughout the game! I could also go on and draw some other minor character that have a role in the story (Dooplay, King Pen, Danus, Planktopus, Merltue, Eleetle, Picky, Captain Bonehead, Valldo, Loak, Bobthur) anything really, except mayor Tadaomi since you already have enough idea of what he looks like.

Now, if you played the other Paper Marios, were you tired of the fact that when there are a lot of sidequests, you get lost trying to actually remember them? Well, in the game there will be *drumrolls* AN ADVENTURE LOG! Yes! You can now see your sidequest at any time, even the main quests.

Another mechanic is, some enemies might drop weapons, but they count as items and can only be used once, save for the boomerang, which keeps returning and therefore acts as a permanent weapon. It allows you to attack an enemy, or all enemies twice, and has a chance of stealing them an item. Though it requires quite some FP.

You can even find Non-Mario enemies, as this world is just wide, or maybe I should save that for another fangame.

Penny's the happy bink secretary of the king of the Kingdom of Hondon. She kept her job from when Honster was still the ruler. Her ability is to hold on to Mario and can make him glide over large gaps. She is a helpful person always trying to do her job the best she can. But she however mostly messes up, something she wants to confront.

This one is so cute.

Yeah, I guess so, at some point she was even intended to be the "cute" partner of the game. Though I said in the above post that she would get a recolor at least, because some of the areas look bad, in terms of color. But yeah, Penny herself is pretty cute.

Sooo, now we completely know about Block and Nina, so their bios in the OP have been updated. And Penny too I guess, 'cause hers is way too short.

Ok, guys, still hadn't had the time to draw Daewand, but I already want to get started with chapter 14, which also is a great chapter, well, not as great as 13, but hey it's still worth the read. Also, this chapter contains my favorite partner in the whole game, but if you had speculations, you would've known by now who it is.

Spoiler: Chapter 14: The curse of the doomed king.

Antonimus had his decision made, he was going to die for his own freedom, but he still was confused. The code star, Loss, began speaking words to him lately, and he had just found his hometown but couldn't enjoy the sheer fact that he was in it! Though the code star seemed most intriguing. Why was it talking to Antonimus? And why only to Antonimus? Did it want to share its pain or something?

The moment has arrived! Antonimus was going to drop his sword and let his opponent kill him.

Except... something was wrong.

Antonimus just couldn't, because his opponent...

Antonimus: S... Startacus? You're alive?
Startacus: Yes, they figured they would manage to kill me better if they made me fight you to the death.
Antonimus: I... I changed my mind! I will not die! I won't let them enslave you once again Startacus! You deserve to be free!
Startacus: Antonimus, no! You have fought alongside me all the way, to be free, and I am not going to take that away from you!
Antonimus: But you fought for everyone! This is not how you will end! End free! Startacus!

He desperately tries to stab the one he loved as his own father. He is at some point highly injured and falls on the center of the pit. Startacus now jumps on him.

Startacus: I'm sorry Antonimus!
At just the right time, though, Antonimus manages to stun Startacus back, and puts his sword through him, as a light comes out of his body.
Antonimus: I love you, Startacus! And that's why I did this!
Startacus: I... Love you too... as my own son. But really, you didn't have to do that.

He puts his hand on the Ant's cheek, and explodes into star bits. Antonimus then falls to the ground, with a somewhat uncertain smile. He has saved Startacus (from getting enslaved). But now he was going to be enslaved, and after realizing that, he begins crying. His warrior self just died, he is now dead from the inside, knowing that he will never be free again. What will happen to him?

Meanwhile, At Fort Hackula:

Evilness: Trust me, Vampire, when I say that they just got another code star!
Hackula: GAHHHH! I KNOW THAT! THIS IS GETTING FRUSTRATING! Though I am most confident that even then, Mario won't be able to stop me!
Evilness: Alone? Because let me tell you, he has many friends, and as each code star goes on, a new ally! Plus me, and anyone else willing to help!
Hackula: Well, at least I know the whereabouts of another one, as my useful ally Brassus has found it! I will be picking it up in moments!
Hector, whispering to Victor: So, should we do it?
Victor: I guess so! C'mon, let's not hold up!
Hector: But Victor, you think they know?
Victor: I don't think so! But anyway, we gotta say it some point!

Do what?

At Mt. Funji, Nina is carrying her brother, lifeless, to the temple of the sage Nyung.

Nyung: I see, we will begin to bless him.
Nina: Thank you, father.
Nyung: See when you were young, I couldn't see you often. Now, you can always be sure that I always watch upon you.

The sages all beginsome sort of ceremony, after which Yang's body begins to disintegrate and his ashes begin to surround the air.

Nina: You will rest in peace, I promise you this, brother.

Down at Valldo's house, Block, is seen making final repairs to Cybelle, until she wakes up, and quickly hugs Block.

Cybelle: I... I missed you so much!
Block: I love you too. It's ok now.
Valldo: Oh man, so good! Look at my little ones over there! Aren't they just adorable!
Blurrgr: Yeah ok, that's starting to creep me out! Well folks seems it was fun working alongside you! I'll see you someday, hopefully! (Yes, the day I will get my hands on the code star!)

He walks out of the house, but stops dead short. He seems to be thinking. Should he help these guys? He also kinda feels like a total jerk right now.

Blurrgr: Y'know what, nevermind! I'll stick with ya! To save the world of course!
Goombeddy: Hmmmm.... Yeah ok, and with that, only three to go! And I'm so satisfied that Daewand is no more, as well as Area 64! All this is over!
Penny: You know, I actually am enjoying this adventure to be completely honest with you guys! Even when it gets annoying!
Luna: I was about to say the same thing! You guys are not that bad after all!
Lancebob: Ok now everyone, should we go back to Champs-Eclypsées?
Mario: Oh yeah!
Rockbert: Wait! Nina's still not here! We should wait!
Nina: Nah, I'm here!
Rockbert: Oh man! Thank goodness you're alright! I thought you couldn't handle it alone!

Nina looks at him with warmth.

Nina: Don't have to worry 'bout me, big daddy! I stole stuff from the holy Broman Empire, if that's not enough to show ya!
Rockbert: Oh yeah! Just forgot!
Lucifer: Speaking of the Broman Empire, they haven't dared to show us their faces since Boned city! Could they be planning something?
Nina: Knowing the Empire, they are always trying to acquire more power, so as a result of breaking their precious black flower, I'm surely tracked!
Blurrgr: Wait, whaaat? You guys are tracked by an army of broomy helmet soldiers?
Goombeddy: Yeah right! Wait till they see!
Peach: So anyway, let's then not delay anything! If we want to find these code stars, we're going to have to move!
Luigi: I've known the princess for years, but she was never this excited! Especially not to save the world!
Peach: Luigi, I have my own hidden interests and skills.
Valldo: Wait, Mario! Before you go, please take good care of Gary! I can't let the tragedy of losing him or Cybelle to happen ever again!
Cybelle: And please come back safe!
Block: Aww man, I love you guys! Bye!

And with that we're done with the interludes!

Though shortly after they get out of the house, Shadoodle quickly swoops in and "steals" Peach!

Peach: Dude! Can't anyone think of kidnapping someone beside me?
Shadoodle: Yes! Like my masters told me! I must now get her to the Doom Desert!
Kooplea: Doom desert! That place doesn't sound so friendly!
Chillianna: But why does he want to do that?
Shadoodle: Why doesn't anyone get it? I'm bad, I'm evil, so I do bad stuff, Ok? And now I'm taking your beloved princess to the Doom Desert!
Peach: Seems like you're being controlled against your will, aren't you?
Shadoodle: Well actually, kinda! Because I don't see what does that have to do with destroying the code stars. But anyway, I guess it's still something I need to do! So Muahahahahahhahahah! By taking the princess to the Doom Desert, I will accomplish what I wanted to... somehow. Or at least that's what my masters told me!
Spike: Who are those already?
Blind: They must be none other than Hector and Victor, those two brats! They have done nothing but bad things to us!
Lancebob: Come, courageous friends! We must save the princess!
They give chase after Shadoodle. He follows a secret path that leads to the desert. In the desert, it is so hot you'll take damage if you stay in areas with no shadow. You can see a meter which indicates at what point you take damage.

Shadoodle: Oh no! I'm cornered! That was not supposed to happen.
Lancebob: Surrender, beast! We got you surrounded!
Lucifer: You know, I kinda feel sorry for the guy, to be honest. We beat him head to toes many times before and now he corners himself. Pathetic!
Lancebob: That is most agreeable, let us finish him here!
Peach: You know guys. Just get this over with.

A battle is engaged. He has the EXACT same stats as normal, but halway through the fight, he stops.

GAAH! Okay! Man, is it scorching! I may be done now, but I'll get you next time! I have used free time to work on a machine of my creation!

He brings in a lava machine that's... big and bulky, sure enough. It seems to have built in lava cannons. Even one hit by lava would almost kill you! And its metal is almost impenetrable!

Though someone shocked him with dark magic before he tries to use it!
The guy looks familiar, but you only get a teensy little glimpse of him, so you can't say it's who for sure.

Peach: Oh thanks, everyone. Now who's this guy again?
Goombeddy: Oh, Princess, that is no other than Shadoodle! Evil corrupting spirit that was supposedly dead thousands of years ago! It is made of glitches and corrupts everything it touches! It was, as far a we know, brought back by Hector and Victor!
Peach: Ok that explains a lot!
Stayzee: Anyway, is there a reason he got you here?
???: Yes.

It's the same guy that saved you! To everyone's surprise, it was...

Hector: Let me explain everything. Long ago, billions of years before today, the creation of this world relied on two brothers and their magical healing and dark powers. They have made the world to what it is, they are the ones behind the "game", they are the developers in some sorts. These two are none other then me, and Victor.
The party: (Gasp).
Hector: I know, gasp as much as you want, 'cause as crazy as that sounds, we actually had that plan the whole time. I am only telling you now because as I am speaking to you, the code star chips you carry record my voices, as well as yours, and so if I told you this before, Hackula could've seen it in the other code star, which is in the castle. But now you are at a point where you have gathered almost all of them, and now Hackula is pretty close to being a joke to you, because he is actually pretty weak to all of you combined. Though you still lack one ally, Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, as you have gathered 14 of the 15 chosen people to finish this quest. It was I, Hector, alongside Victor, who chose those who would gather to save the world.
Goombeddy: So, it was... destiny?
Kooplea: So basically, if it weren't for you, I would've still stayed in those gardens the rest of my life mouring the mayor of Toad Town?
Penny: No wonder you got through our way multiple times!
Lancebob: My friend, without that, I wouldn't have discovered the wonders of this era!
Lucifer: I... I could've died inside of that machine! You are my true savior! Just... thank you!
Rockbert: Man, you look pretty nice now! That Hackula is one big bully, I tell ya!
Nina: So actually you stole the black flower to destroy it? And also let me escape the Broman Empire in some way? I'm confused now!
Stayzee: Oh please! I was perfectly enjoying myself! You didn't have to get me on this dreamful adventure!
Spike: So thanks to you the undead are now enjoying themselves!
Luna: And I thought I was the biggest peace lover in my galaxy. Looks like I'm in your galaxy now!
Block: And to think I wouldn't have remembered my family. I am truly grateful to your good deeds, dude!
Chillianna: So after all, it was only that freak who forced my grandmother to help you!
Blind: You have proven yourself worthy of my trust!
Blurrgr: Woah! Hold on! You go on and trust him? You lost your minds? He could be lying!
Block: Speak to yourself, you're the guy who directly trusted Daewand when he first spoke to us!
Hector: No, he's right, you have no reason to trust me, so the choice is ultimately yours! You have the right to say I'm trying to trap you or something, but I am going to tell you, your last chosen ally is here, as well as the code star!

Everyone is shocked. The one enemy that posed them the most thread turns out to be their biggest ally.

Hector: So yeah, there's that guy, Brassus, he and Hackula are friends now and Brassus has found a code star. Hackula will be picking it up in something like a few hours, so you gotta get it for you before then.
Peach: Wait, so you also are trying to betray Hackula?
Hector: I know, right? So in a way, we were unintentionally helping each other. Though we only realized we had to collect the code stars to save the world when we actually heard about them after being brainwashed by Hackula, a being born from himself. No one knows where he comes from, but he just appeared, one day. But before he did brainwash us, we created the entity known as the code star. We scattered them throughout the world, in the same locations as the chosen ones are, and thus everyone that was chosen would carry one of the code stars with them. Hence, the code star in Peach's castle was only meant to be handed out for her, as she has the power to control their wills. But it turns out, all three of Mario, Luigi AND the Princess have gathered, which makes it better! It was like a glitch, but a good glitch that allowed you to skip a big part of a level or something!
Peach: So Mario and Luigi coming here is just luck?
Hector: Exactly! Now enough talking, go get that next code star! Mostly because Hackula would be infuriated to hear what I just said.

Ok, so now finally, you take control again. You get close to the broman buildings, and a guy who looks a lot like Bowser but isn't exactly Bowser shows up.
The Bowser guy: Hey there, Mario!
Mario: ???
Bowser??: Man is it good to see you! I was stuck in this desert for no reason, I don't remember how it happened!
Block: Look, guy with the mask, we don't have time to talk, and we know you're obviously not Bowser!
Bowser??: Oh yeah? How can you tell?
Block: You have red hair dye on your natural hair, that's easy to tell! It's not even dyed right!
Bowser??: Oh, that's just because I'm getting old and still want my hair to look cool! Oh, and can I tell you that my disguise allowed me to distract you while my soldiers are approaching you from behind?

That's pretty much what happened. They get you to the establishment of the prison... thing. Man these guys use the prison a lot!

Brassus: Haha! You fell right in my trap! Now I will take every code star you gathered, and get them to Hackula to rule over the world!
Lucifer: If I understand correctly, you are going to overthrow each other after that?
Lancebob: High five, lady Lucifer!
Lucifer: Yeah, that's not even a joke, I bet you they are really gonna do that!
Brassus: Silence! You are now in my hands, and I chose to strangle you! ........ Although tomorrow because I don't feel like it right now!
Blargtiatus: Ô Brassus! Um, I wanted to see you to remind you of something!
Brassus: What? Can't you see I'm busy?
Blargtiatus: But Milord! You promised me before the war between you and the slaves that you would allow me to sell any survivors!
Brassus: Oh, well see, I killed them all, no survivors!
Blargtiatus: ...
Brassus: Now, Guards! Throw these insects with the other insect! Speaking of him, I'll begin torturing him tomorrow!

Who's that insect? Yeah it's Antonimus, after so many interludes, you finally actually meet him.

Antonimus: Oh man, this is the worst day of my life!
Rockbert: You... look all sad. What's the matter?
Antonimus: None of your business, salt rock!
Stayzee: My, dear, you look horrible with all these frowns on your face! Could you please turn them upside down?
Antonimus: Look, I just slaughtered my best friend in the whole wide world, and tomorrow I'm a slave again! There's nothing I can do about it, I'm done for! And I can't commit suicide, that's the worst part, 'cause if I'm cought trying to do so, the whip! I'm just cursed! DOOMED to stay a slave, it's like the world doesn't want me to LIVE!
Kooplea, getting close to him: Hey, it's okay, maybe we'll get out of here!
Nina: Well yeah! I mean I pulled many heists and got out jail like million times, it'll be easy!
Antonimus: You guys, you seem so nice, but trust me, we're not getting out! The Broman Empire, with or without Black flower, is the most powerful Empire to ever exist! Just the thought of getting out of here kills you!
Nina: Hey, I escaped it many times, did I just tell ya! We're gonna get outta here, together!
Antonimus: Well, since you guys insist, also, now that I think of it, if we don't succeed, I might die instead of getting enslaved... OK! I'M COMING WITH YOU! ARE SIGN-UPS STILL OPEN?

Antonimus, The warrior-spirited Ant trooper, has joined your party! Ants can lift 100 times their own size, and so, he can push very heavy blocks and objects that are too heavy for Mario. He is my overall favorite partner in the game, and also is the most powerful of the ones you get in the main story, and the second most powerful overall!

With Antonimus in your team, battles are now so much easier, and now that you have assembled all the chosen partners, every single partners' attack power is stronger than usual, wether you have upgraded them or not.

Though enemies here are really hell incarnate without so much power, so yeah, that's fair.

So yeah, pretty much you get out of the prison. Obviously, not like anyone enjoys their time there!

Antonimus: Oh, man! Is it coming true? Will I be free again?
Kooplea: I can tell. With us, you're as good as free.
Antonimus: Oh thank you guys so much! So anyway, what brings you to the Doom Desert?
Blind: There are those code stars we need to...
Antonimus: Wait hold on, did you say CODE STAR?! I actually know who has it!
Lucifer: Yeah, we too we know, y'know. That Brassus guy has it! But how do you know?
Antonimus: You certainly know about the slaves that tried to escape Brome, right?
Chillianna: I... think I saw it on the newspaper that was published in the hotel.
Antonimus: Well you're gazing upon none other than Antonimus! The one that was Startacus' friend!
Lucifer: Wow, you're actually that guy... Sooooo dreamy... Oh, sorry, I was lost in thought!
Kooplea: And here she goes again, with the flirty attitude!
Antonimus: So anyway, y'know, Startacus told me that those code stars could save the world! So I guess I'll stay with you! You might need my super strength! Anyway, I know this place head to toes! I guess I can show you around!

Antonimus begins running in town, stopping at every notable building to tell you about it. Try as much as possible to avoid the Broman guards not to engage too much battles, 'cuz we got a pacifist on board! (Actually that was just a joke it's not anything gameplay-wise)

You now go to Brassus' home, which used to be Antonimus', and discover him in the house pool.

Brassus: Well, looks like you got out of prison, and I must say, you are quite good, because you know, there is no Empire as prosperous as mine! Everyone knows that! Oh, and Antonimus, I see you joined my friend the legendary thief and Mister Facial hair over there! How foolish!
Antonimus: Shut up, Brassus! You know very well we want the code star!
Brassus: Oh, now you address me without introducing "Ô"! How impolite!
Antonimus: Yeah right! I'm supposed to worship you after you enslave me and force me not to kill myself out of depression!
Goombeddy: You know, you really make him sound like a douchebag!
Antonimus: That, my friend, is because he is!
Goombeddy: So yeah, anyway, Scaled freak, you tell about it now!
Brassus: What're you going to do? Teach me a lesson? I am more civilized than you creeps! To barge in like that during my relaxation moments!
Antonimus: Oh, so now enslaving people and killing them like they were mindless machines is civilized, huh?
Blurrgr: Actually, even I wouldn't have done that if was in a state of complete rage!
Antonimus: Trust me, guy's a party killer!
Brassus: Well, must I admit, you have done well to reach me, but let's see what you'll do against my own guards!

A group of Armed Koopatrols enter the room. Oh no! Is it a fight? You win the battle, and Brassus isn't even upset! He even looks overjoyed to having watched such a glorious battle!

Lucifer: Wait?! You even find pleasure in your own guards' misfortune? Wow, that fatso is totally wack! What a tyran, dude!
Luigi: You know guys, maybe we should give him a taste of his own medicine!

Peach: I don't get it, honestly.
Luigi: I mean, he is laughing to others' bad lucks, so we fight him and then laugh at him?
Luna: POINT!! LETS KILL THIS BIG LIZARD IN A CHAIR!

Yeah, Luna lost it again.

Brassus: Actually, I may have a proposition for you!
Antonimus: What? Enslaving me again so I can have the pleasure of working for you?
Brassus: No! Perhaps, something way more interesting! Come closer!
Block: Uh-uh! We are not going to fall for it!
Brassus: Then be it! But I shall tell you anyway! I actually lost the star!
Goombeddy: Oh mother of Goom!
Brassus: However! I know of its whereabouts! Just look where the heaven's light pierces the heart of this town, and give it warmth to let it open the path!
Antonimus: Seriously, A RIDDLE? COULD YOU BE MORE ANNOYING THAN THAT?
Brassus: Hey, I just indirectly told you what to do! Yes, I hid it at that exact place!

Solve this riddle, and then, suddenly, an eye appears at the place the sun is pointing to you know what direction. Though however, the guards say that as a slave, Antonimus is not allowed to leave the town.

Brassus: Hahahahaha!
Penny: Great! What now?
Brassus: You fell for it! By doing what I told you to do, you made a pyramid rise where the code star was! Now the code star's at the top of the pyramid, and I tell you, this pyramid is cursed! You go in there, you can only get out if you reach the top!
Penny: That's ... not new to us, right guys? I mean we did go through many dangerous places, especially me and a few others, since I was there since like twelve code stars!
Antonimus: Maybe that's a good thing though, I doubt Brassus himself would manage to bring the code star himself. And that Hackula guy that can come pick it up any minute now... Yep, that'll be hilarious!
Penny: You know, I already like you!
Blurrgr: For some reason, I think I made a good choice sticking with ya people.
Goombeddy: Trust me, I am the first one who joined Mario, and I had the best times of my life since then!
Blurrgr: I can tell.

Anyway, you still need to find a way to actually get the code star, but you can't leave! So basically, yeah, even out of prison you are still imprisoned!

You have no other option than explore the town. The town itself is mostly taken over by Brome, but the Desert people, Swishes, a sand species, still live in it, and own shops, inns and the basic "village" stuff. You surprisingly are allowed to do stuff there, as, well, Brassus wants to show how fair he is. He is already too much of a (bleep), so he's like "yeah, I wanna show these people how good I am."

Though at some point, A hooded man stops you, you don't know who he is, but he looks fiery.

???: Mario! Antonimus!
Antonimus: Wait, who called me?
???: It is I, come here, I can't show my face! Ok now, head inside the door!

Blargtiatus: Ok, no need to hide my face! It's me, Blargtiatus!
Antonimus: Wait, aren't you broman?
Blargtiatus: I know, thing is, I just realized how big of a jerk Brassus is, he just duped me! And thus, I swore never to sell slaves as a living anymore! Especially not to him! Head to Haraccus' office, he'll show you how to get out of town! The world needs this more than the Empire!

Haraccus is an old broman beanish who has contributed to the senate. At some point, he got fed up to it and decided to help the greater good, as revenge from Brassus, who keeps stealing the spotlight from him, resulting in Brassus' rational ideas getting executed instead of Haraccus' more pacifist ones. Seeing Brome in a state of crisis, he decided to leave his hometown to watch Brassus more closely, and once his duty is accomplished, he would then retire to nature to never get heard of ever again.

Spoiler: Chapter 14, Part 2: The All-Seeing Pyramid!

Haraccus: So, you are Antonimus, aren't you?
Antonimus: Well yeah.
Haraccus: I see. Here, take this bill, that shows you are free. It has a forged signature of Brassus, so the guards won't suspect anything. Since Bromans are stupid. Yeah. Broman are now fighting for the imprisonment of the slaves that have fled. But now that I realize that slaves are just like us, human, and by human I mean who have feelings.
Antonimus: Wait, so, you're really doing it for all slaves?
Haraccus: Yes, and now that I'm thinking of it, I will even free Startacus' wife, who'd need to be free because she's about to have her own child, and maybe pray to Startacus' spirit to tell him that all the fights he did, who unfortunately failed, he did it for his son, and she will be telling him how hard he fought for that freedom he deserved. I might as well do so to all slaves, now that I'm thinking of it, being locked up in cages are for "animals". The only animal here is Brassus, he's the one who came up with the idea of slaves, and he made it sound so good and harmless everyone voted HIM! I can't believe the Bromans anymore! They just go with whatever drags them! They're all sheep!

Antonimus looks at him with warmth, and gives him a hug.

Haraccus: Oh, young man, wouldn't it be weird now if you were affective with a Broman?
Antonimus: You... set me free!

Antonimus now remembers what Startacus told him about the Bromans being held back by their civilization.

They now successfully all get out of the town, as well as the other slaves. What Startacus fought for, what he did, was worth it. He could've won, but the results were still satisfying.

Anyway, you make your way to the direction the eye was looking at you. As you get closer, if you uncloak it with Blind's gadget, it reveals a giant pyramid, and by giant, I mean compared to the normal pyramids that are found in Egypt. It's too big to even see the code star.

Brassus: You may have trespassed your limits. But please proceed, not like you were coming out of this pyramid in one piece.
Lucifer: He had to make that bad pun.
Kooplea: It does look threatening, there's this eye that creeps me out.

So anyway, you are supposed to go in there, and yeah, once inside there's no turning back, as the door closes right behind you.

Brassus, from outside the pyramid: HAHAHAHA! You will never get out of here alive now! You are doomed to wander this pyramid from eternity!
Goombeddy: Yep, doesn't look good!
Chillianna: W... Why? What is it?
Goombeddy: This pyramid is the All-seeing pyramid, it contains the deadliest traps in the entire universe, because the king that was burried here was not any king, but the cursiest of them all! King Tuphantamon! He has the power to steal our souls and trap them inside balls to use them as his own attacks! That also means that he's nothing without souls, but the traps here are just not the kinds of traps that you would escape without sacrificing someone!
Blurrgr: You waited until NOW to tell us! DUUUDE! I don't wanna die when I could just be eating my own hot-dogs!
Goombeddy: Well, it's probably okay, we'll find a way!
Blurrgr: OK? HOW CAN THAT BE OKAY?! ONLY THING THATS SURE IS AT LEAST TEN OF US'RE GONNA DIE! AND THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT NOT EVERYONE'S GONNA DIE! MAN I'M TOO YOUNG! I'M ONLY 26!

Nina: Yo, we're just too many teens on this quest, ain't I right?
Penny: Anyway, Oooooff-topic! Aren't we supposed to actually be wondering about what're we gonna have to do instead of cowering?
Luna: Reasonable.
Spike: So yeah, we better move already, not like complaining is going to get us anywhere!
Penny: Yeah see, even the coward one agrees with me!
Spike: Wait, from all the roles, I have the coward one?

So anyway, unnecessary chatting between the partners, until you actually move. Many of these traps are deadly, although thankfully some vases contain SMB2 cobrats that will give you hints upon dialogue.

Though the pyramid is so long it actually takes the second half of the chapter to complete. And along the way, many things happen.

At some point in the pyramid, not too far ahead of the entrance, three voice are heard whispering.

Voice 1: You shouldn't have come here, for here you will meet your terrible fate! I am Fifty, mighty wind of the Doom Desert!
Voice 2: You will be mesmerized by the winds of my voice! I am Habibtak, infatuating wind of the Doom Desert!
Voice 3: And will most regret coming here because of me! I will blow your minds away, as the leader of the three winds!
I am Sir K.-O! Fatal wind of the Doom Desert!
All three together: You will never get past us, thus to the king Tuphantamon! We will stop you all before you even think of getting there!
Goombeddy: I just thought of it! Am I dead?
Sir K.-O: No, it's just an expression to tell you how easily we will dispose of you. Also, if not all of you die, we can still fight you with the souls of your fallen friends, as we will give them to his majesty! And come to think of it let's do it now!

They take the form of three wind spirits. Fifty has the traditional striped Pharaoh hat and a scarf (guy thinks he's so strong even himself would succumb to his own power), Habibtak has a veil over her face, exposing her eyes and still making her blond hair visible, and Sir K.-O is robe-less, exposing his abs and still wearing a skirt, with sandals and has the high Empire Pharaoh crown, the one that looks like a bowling pin in a giant red straw. So as the leader of the three winds he is supposed to be gorgeous.

Sir K.-O: Prepare to have your souls taken! By me! Yes I know, this honor is highly preserved for better travelers than you, but it's worth getting it on occasions!

A battle is engaged. You... WIN!!!
However, a tragic something happens. The winds have triggered a trap! Water is flooding the room!
Blurrgr: NO! It's starting! I'm going to die!

He throws himself into the water, seemingly becoming pale of color. That doesn't kill him though, he just looks fire-less now.

Blurrgr: What? I didn't die?
Goombeddy: Well yes! Let me tattle Blurrn for you, my friend.

Blurrns are fiery creatures that are too hot to even look at! Max HP is 23, ATT is 8. They will blind you in the moments they attack, blurring your sight! Your guard will be harder to perform, and they also have a high chance of burning you! Water will weaken them temporarily and all attacks directed at them in this state will be a little stronger!
Blurrgr: I didn't die! But I will! In this pyramid! I just know it!
Rockbert: Hey keep it easy! Our only way is in front! We must go forward!
Penny: Though I am starting to get scared! The place is so creepy, atmospherical! I'll have to say that! I give credit to the ones who designed this pyramid!

Suddenly, an eye appears on the ceiling.

Eye: No one escapes my sight!
The door closes! The ceiling is slowly falling down! The eye is too far to reach, and bullets don't work, as well as any projectile!
Kooplea: Oh no! What do we do?
Penny: I have to kill this thing!
Kooplea: What? but you might end up crushed by the ceiling!
Penny: Well at least I would've saved you!
Kooplea: Penny please! You the very first friend I made after I lost my father! I won't leave you!
Goombeddy: Hey what happens to me then? Am I still not your friend?
Kooplea: Penny we'll find another way!

But she won't listen, suddenly, after the eye dies, a cage appears around Penny, preventing her from escaping.

Penny: What? Just go!

Some sleeping gas is spewed on her, so she won't witness the moment.

They all go out, but with one of their own down. Brassus was right about this doom thing. He was even laughing about it. All came to realize how cruel this guy is, as he also is responsible for the code star being in the top floor of the pyramid.

They now continue solving puzzles, without the ability of flight. You now fight pyramid enemies, like Mummy Koopas, who kinda act like Dry Bones, cobrats, Phantos, who will appear once you open a treasure chest that contains a key, and Sneetes, Snakes that are made of paper. (Well normally made in paper, even outside of Paper Mario)

On the first floor, a dark room is encountered.

Antonimus: Umm, Someone just stepped on my foot!
Goombeddy: We are 18... well 17 people in a dark room! Of course someone's gonna step on your foot!
Antonimus: Ok, but can they at least remove their foot from on top of mine?
Goombeddy: Someone do what he said or he's going to cry!
Partners: I didn't step on his foot!
Blind: Check, is it really a foot?
Antonimus: Yeah! My antennas can tell me that! Luce, did you just step on my foot?
Lucifer: I don't have any and I'm literally levitating above the ground, how am I supposed to step on your foot?
Antonimus: I swear I felt that electric fishtail go right by me! But then, who stepped on my foot?
Goombeddy: Gahh! Just stop whining already! No one's gonna eat your foot!
Lancebob: Here! Sir Antoine! Take this torch!
Antonimus: Thanks, man, and WOAAAAAH!

It was a giant mummy like monster, but its only eye looked like the one that trapped Penny earlier. Maybe we're about to lose another partner!

Blurrgr: Yeah! That's it! Eat me!
Mummy: No one escapes my sight!

A sandstorm is started inside the room. A switch is seen on the opposite wall. Though terrain is too rough to go through. Block steps right up, about to hit the switch.

Block: Guys! I'm sorry! And also, I'm sorry I couldn't get back home safe, dad. At least I got to meet you again, you, and Cybelle. Please take care!

Just as he hits the switch, he is engulfed by the sand, but the sand stops.

Luna: Wait? Where is he?
Chillianna: What if he's still alive?
Goombeddy: Whether he's fine or not, we can't do anything about him!
Luigi: Oh man! This is the worst thing that's ever happened to me yet!
Peach: Over all the times I was kidnapped I have never experienced such terror before now. This pyramid is bloodthirsty!
Blurrgr: Oh what? Come on, it was MY time to die now! Man!
Goombeddy: I can't believe how selfish you're being while two of our friends might be dead!
Blurrgr: Be rough, mister 'Shroom!
Goombeddy: Someone shut him up!
Blind: Partner! Behave yourself! More of us will probably die at some point! Stop whining about your fate and at least show some sorrow towards the ones we lost!
Blurrgr:

The second floor of the pyramid has lots of spikes that could've been dodged by Block, who just got lost now. Apparently this pyramid is trying to make us feel even more sorry! Hate this pyramid already! One of the rooms seems to have an out of place block. Goombeddy stops everyone and throws a piece of cloth from his necktie on the block, as it opens wide up and devours the cloth! Inside its mouth is another all-seeing eye!

Lancebob: Oh what? Not again!
Eye: Oh yes again! This is too fun, seeing you torture yourselves to death! And now there's another one! Oh no! What're we gonna do? And... Ouch! What the?
Spike: Surrender yourself, eye! We got you!
Luna: Hey look, the coward one stepped up! *facepalm* Oh no! I made fun of him before he dies!
Spike: Before I what?

Sure enough, he is devoured by the eye. The door opens, as the eye just wanted to eat.

Luna: Oh man, here he goes! And I was making fun of him, now I feel terrible!
Rockbert: And to think this guy saved the undead from unfair conditions, that's just sad!

Anyway, you are three partners down! And yes, on the third floor there is so many loose walls that can be cut open by a spear, most specifically Spike's.

Yeah pyramid's at it again!

One of the rooms, you guessed it, leads to the "death" of another partner. The is this time on the wall.

Eye: Go on! Press that button!
Blurrgr: You bet!

He presses the button, and sure enough, something happens. The walls begin closing in, about to crush everyone. Luckily, Lucifer is enough to stop them, and she can regenerate herself, so it's not a problem and that leaves a lifeless body hanging between two walls, but still, she tried. Yeah no one dies here, except if you had that optional chapter 11 partner, who would instead be bulky enough to stop the walls from closing in. Any cutscene related to that just won't play if you don't have that partner.
Lancebob: Wow! Lady Lucifer that is so cool!
Lucifer: I know! Puzzeeles can actually survive stuff like that, they can regenerate their body parts, but if their head were to come off that would be way harder, but I had to risk it to save you guys anyway!
Lancebob: Well that was worth it!

Blurrgr is totally disgusted, judging the look on his face, but seems to accept he's hanging out with those guys.

On the fourth floor, there's nothing special. The final room of this floor seems though to have a mirror, on which Mr L. can be seen.

Luigi: Say, who is that?
Eye, who just appeared on the mirror: This is you, don't you see! You are evil! Come on! Team up with me!
Luigi: Why are you talking in this hypnotic voice? It won't <slow motion>woooorrrrrrrrrrk!<slow motion>.

Suddenly, Luigi falls asleep, and the mirror begins trying to suck him in.

Mario: Luigi! No!
Peach: Guys! We gotta help Luigi! Come on!
Blurrgr: What's the point? He's doomed, we all are! Do you realize at this moment your are only endangering your lives even more!
Goombeddy: Shut up and help! Woah!

Luigi is sucked inside the mirror, as well as Peach.

The partners look on, as Mario is seen on his knees, yelling something like "Noooo!"

Lancebob: Here we are! We lost the almighty Luigi!
Antonimus: Man, that was bad! Even Mario's stubborn face is full of tears right now!
Chillianna: I'm so scared right now! I wanna go home already!
Brassus (Also from outside): HAHA! Eat that, everyone! You lost your friends, and you're gonna lose even more!
Lucifer: I gotta admit he's actually right! JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! WE KNOW WE ARE GOING TO DIE! JUST WOULD YOU MIND TAUNTING US AFTER WE DIE? By the way, this is the fourth floor, how can you hear us!
Brassus: What? I can't hear you! Oh higher you stupid bird! I wanna listen!
Lucifer: Ugh he's not even listening!
Nina: Yo! You mess with mah friends, you mess with the legendary thief, hear it, fire-breathing Lizalfos?
Brassus: Oh so now you're threatening me, how adorable! Just see, there is no way you will hear my magnificent and annoying voice anymore so I guess that makes you relieved!
Antonimus: Huh! Brassus! He's still as heartless as I remember! Thankfully, if we die, that means we'll never hear of him again!
Brassus: Anyway, have fun dying!
Antonimus: Ok guys! We can't lose anyone anymore!
Blurrgr: That is though most likely to happen!
Stayzee: I, for one, cannot argue at the moment, he is right!
Antonimus: Well, maybe, but we shouldn't give up! Or our friends would've died for nothing! So whattaya say, you with me?
Lucifer: I'm with you!
Lancebob: Let us avenge our fallen ones!
Goombeddy: Yep, that's the excitement I wanted to see!
Kooplea: Don't you worry, Penny, Block, Luigi and Peach, we will not fail!
Nina: Once we win, those bromans are gonna be very sorry!
Brassus: Ooooh! I'm scared!
Antonimus: Didn't you say you were outta here?
Brassus: Oh yeah! Sorry!

Fifth floor: A room there will look totally empty, but suddenly, another of the eyes appear floating in thin air.

It's a hologram, as it was diversion to lead you to another Three winds fight!

Sir K.-O: So, Mario, did you think we were a one time offer? Think again! Because the three winds will always track you down! At least in this pyramid!
Mario looks very angry, as his fists begin crackling, and exposes his teeth, as a sign a anger.
Antonimus: That's the face I make when someone kills my friends, Mario! Let's get'em!

After the fight though, the three winds unveil a red eye, and as it looks at the group a bunch of cobra statues come out of the walls, ready to fire poisonous arrows at them. Though Blind finds a switch on the wall that's glowing red. He presses it, and the door opens. He holds it so everyone goes through the door, but at the party's surprise, even after the snakes have fired their one-shots, the door was still open. Blind hadn't let go of the switch.

Lucifer: Oh no!
Lancebob: Stay strong, fellow soldier! You will be remembered!
Rockbert: Man, it's still happening! I can't believe how much friends we've lost!
Kooplea: We still can't let that stop us! Blind was glad with helping us! He helped us so we could get to the top!
Blurrgr: Oh! Now you still believe you're gonna make it, right? Trust me, chances of mission failure 300%, that's three times total failure, right there!
Goombeddy: What is your goal? Don't you see our partners are dying, possibly? Do you want this to happen and let the villains stay happy? Do you? You joined this team! So now you're staying with us until we save the world!
Blurrgr: WELL WHAT IF I DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO SAVE THE WORLD?
Stayzee: Oh dear!
Blurrgr: Yeah that's it! I joined you guys because those code stars cost a fortune! Joining your stupid quest would let me get at least one of them, that would set me for LIFE! But of course, you had to ruin everything by making me enter a killer pyramid!
Goombeddy: Oh, who asked you to follow us, WE WERE FINE ON OUR OWN!
Luna: Woah, you two, wouldn't it be better if you just called it truce? You're inside a cursed pyramid, mind you, we need to get out of here with the code star, then you kill each other, understood?
Blurrgr: What're you gonna do about it anyway?
Luna: UNDERSTOOD??
Blurrgr: ... Fine! But as soon as we're out, which might be never, I quit! Ok?
Goombeddy: That's fine with me! Not like your inclusion in our team was life changing anyway! As the very first partner Mario has made in this journey, I disrespect you!
Blurrgr: I don't care!
Luna: *glare*

On the sixth floor, a long dark hallway with green gas is seen.

Nina: Looks nasty, what should we do?
Stayzee: Mario, allow me. My voice will surely do the trick!
Rockbert: Now, I'm telling you, Nina, she's the one that's gonna end up dying!
Stayzee: Stand back, putrid gas! You will not end me, or any of us! For I will sing a song!
Lucifer: Wait! I feel that our problem is not the gas, it's something... else. I can hear it!

Blade saws come out of the walls all of a sudden, each of them with an eye in the center.

Lucifer: Everyone, RUUUN!!!
Rockbert: Y'know, maybe I was wrong! What if we all die?
Nina: Rocky!

He turns back, to see Nina trapped in a box, with a saw blade speeding by. Rockbert sprints towards it, and the blade hits him, though not a scratch!

Rockbert: Guys! Behind me! I'm immune to saw blades!

Though at some point, one of them hits him by the side, and is gravely wounded. In this state a saw blade would kill him for sure.

Nina: Oh no! Someone help!
Blurrgr: Out of my way princess!

He pushes Lucifer on his way, sending her back to one of saw blades.

Lucifer: Nah, don't worry about me, I'm okay!
Nina: Dude! Can you at least try to be helpful, Mister scorchy?

Blurrgr escapes the room. Unscathed. The others are still behind. Goombeddy and Mario come out, as well as Stayzee, Kooplea, Lancebob, Luna, Chillianna and Antonimus, but the others are still inside.

Lucifer is still regenerating after the saw blade hit her, but a saw blade comes from above her neck.

Lucifer: OH COME ON!
Nina: Oh no! Luce! I gotta help her!

She tosses Rockbert across the room and manages to get him out, but the door closes just after, leaving the two girls stuck inside, with a saw blade having basically decapitated one by now and the other is just left there alone, with the gas.

Rockbert: Wait. Nina? Lucifer? Are you alright back there?
Nina: I'm alright, but the gas is not nice here, and Lucifer's definitely not alright!
Goombeddy: WOW! AND AT THAT YOU JUST KILLED ONE OF OUR FRIENDS! CAN YOU MAKE THINGS EVEN WORSE?!
Blurrgr: What? I didn't do anything!
Goombeddy: Yeah right! I saw you push Lucifer towards the saw blade!
Blurrgr: So what? The girl's a Puzzle Plank! She survives stuff like that!
Goombeddy: Nina, what happened to Lucifer?
Nina: Well, remember when she said something about a Puzzeele dying if they lose their heads?
Blurrgr: *gasp*
Goombeddy: Yep, that's officially your first kill, not counting the bad guys!
Kooplea: Oh no, first Penny, now Lucifer! Will this ever end?
Goombeddy: I even bet if we open the door right now, you're gonna feel sorry yourself!
Blurrgr: Like there's anyway to prove it!
Rockbert: SHUT UP,(sob) IF YOU THINK WE RUINED YOUR LIFE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE ON A MISSION TO SAVE THE WORLD BECAUSE YOU WERE CHOSEN BY THEIR CREATORS,(sob) THINK OF THE FACT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT US OR OUR FRIENDS AND ONLY THINK OF YOURSELF! I JUST LOST MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD, AND YOU LET ANOTHER ONE OF OUR FRIENDS DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH, JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE MISERABLE YOURSELF! (sob) YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS, NO ANYONE TO LOVE, NO WONDER YOU ENDED UP SELLING HOT-DOGS ON THE STREET AS YOUR ONLY PASTIME! (Crying)
Goombeddy: Shame on you!
Kooplea: It's ok, Rockbert, I'm sure we'll be alright!
Stayzee: My, why did we ever have to recruit you, you useless piece of burning rubber!
Blurrgr: Say what you want, you're not annoying me!
Rockbert: And look at him, now he's making fun of me!
Antonimus: You know what guys, I'll take care of him once we get outside the pyramid, but right now, we will have to stick together and continue!
Blurrgr: How can you be so optimistic about this?
Antonimus: And how come you are so pessimistic about this?
Blurrgr: I'm not pessimistic, I'm realistic, there's no way we're ever getting out! Which is why I killed your friend! She was gonna die anyway!

On the seventh floor, however, they are greeted by a giant Phanto-esque door, with golden ornaments around it.
Danus: HAHA! Hello it's me again! Remember me guys! Man do I love your company! And... what's wrong?
Stayzee: You may ask the fart this person is!
Blurrgr *imitating Stayzee's voice*: Nah! You can ask the fart this person...
Stayzee: Shut your trap!
Danus: Oh I see! That's sad! You lost your friends, the cute bee, the eel, the Ninji. You know what that makes me sad too! I know this pyramid all too well, I have seen many travelers here crying at the toes I don't have! But I also see some people I didn't see before like... this ant!
Kooplea: Look, we are really not in the mood for questions, so if you..
Danus: Nah! It's ok, Miss! I won't ask you questions! That is... is I wasn't obligated to do so!
Goombeddy: It's ok, if you must do that then do it!
Danus: Actually no, I have no questions to think of!
Sir K.-O: YOU WILL ASK QUESTIONS!
Danus: No, please, not the whip!
Antonimus: Is it just me, or does it look like the whole world is enslaving itself!
Danus: Sorry guys, I would've let you through if it wasn't my job to saty shut unless access is permitted!

This time, Sir K.-O. asks you the questions through Danus' words.

Sir K.-O: What? You answered all questions? That was not supposed to happen, you were supposed to fail and die!

He points at a pile of skulls of past adventurers who weren't as knowledgeable on things as we are.

Danus: Guys! Thank you! You freed me from this guy! I cannot possibly repay you!
Kooplea, giving a door a hug: It's ok, you've done all you can to help us! Now would you please open the path?
Danus: Sure! Oh! And I got good news! Your friends are not completely lost!
Chillianna: Really?
Danus: That is, if Tuphantamon doesn't kill you. He has the souls of your fallen friends, and if you beat him, they will be free, Resurrected! Just like that!
Kooplea: OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Come on guys let's go!

So I couldn't yet again fit the ending in there, so here's the ending!

Spoiler: Chapter 14, Ending: Yeah, they're not supposed to die.

Fifty: You have done well to reach this place, but see, this is where you will end!
The place is small, basically because you are on the first to last floor, almost there!
Habibtak: You will perish under his wrath, and the souls of the partners that we have taken away from you!
Sir K.-O: Behold! The King of the Doom Desert, King Tuphantamon!
A tomb is opened behind them, and a mummy with the face of a Phanto comes out.
It begins climbing to the top of the pyramid. A swarm of Phantos are seen under the ground. You must get to the top quickly before the Phantos engulf you! This will result in a Game Over, thankfully there's a save block in front of Danus.
Kooplea: Don't you run away, monster! Give us our friends back!
Tuphantamon, the mummy, shook his head, as a way to say no, and then opened his hand to show the balls in which your partners are trapped.

Our friends can't believe they survived the whole pyramid, as they are inside the glassy top of it. The code star's there, but we gotta get through Tuphantamon first.

BOSS CHAPTER 14: TUPHANTAMON.

This is Tuphantamon, a king whose reign was long. He was put here in order for his body never to disintegrate, as any who dare approach him would just die. Max HP is 180, ATT is 12, and Def is 3. His attacks only consist of those of our friends, and judging how the balls are shaking, they must be aware that they're being used. We must kill this guy, for the sake of your friends! For the world!

After a very tough fight, almost the toughest in the game, the balls the King used fall to the ground, as a smoke cloud appears, with your partners lying down on the floor.

Penny: Wh... what happened? I remember I was in a cage before getting crushed by the ceiling!
Nina: Tell me about it, I was about to run out of breath! And Lucifer was there, I witnessed her die!
Lucifer: That happened so fast! But how are we here, though? Still alive?
Luigi and Peach: Mario?
Blind: Oh yes! Mario's here, wake up, soldier, we're alive!
Spike: Ugh! Who called me?
Block: I guess Mario saved us from that guy, I remember just seconds ago being used as a weapon.
Lancebob: Everyone! Thank goodness you're here!
Kooplea: I missed you guys so much!

Antonimus walks up to Blurrgr, who was contemplating the scene with sadness.

Antonimus: Didn't I tell you? Our hope was the greeter good, and we succeeded! Startacus used to tell stuff like that, he said that not because you were more powerful, that you had power over anything. Sometimes, it comes down to those who have the better intentions!
Blurrgr: I... Man, I was such a jerk back there.
Antonimus: Nah it's ok. Men can drown people with them, when they feel desperate. But what matters is, you didn't give up. You climbed to the very end, even though you were pessimistic most of the time.
Blurrgr: I guess I'm sorry.

At this moment, Goombeddy looks at him with a smile. Blurrgr smiles back. He then notices the code star.

Blurrgr grabs it and gives Loss, the fourteenth code star, to Mario, as a sign that he doesn't care about the money that it might get him.

Blurrgr: I'd never thought I'd say that, but I actually love you guys.

A bunch of the partners hug him. End of that story, a story you will not forget.

So yeah, that's... pretty heartwarming right there at the end! See Ya!

So, despite Antonimus neing my favorite partner, he didn't get too good of a drawing, because he was actually rushed for his time. I hope you don't find it that bad, and if you want, tell me how to make it better! Because I plan to redraw this and I might take some design updates in consideration, as I also feel he looks bland. Anyway, before I put him here, let me tell you that this is, of course, not the last partner I'll be posting, as there are the optional, but I'll post those post-game. There are actually three, ot two of them, I keep hesitating on wether I should include on of those or not. So anyway, yeah, not Lucifer, not Blind, Antonimus is my favorite.

I love Lucifer for her strong-headed teenager type of character and having overall a story of an unfinished reunion (that was the title of Chapter 7, right?), I love Blind for being this type of character who would never give up on anyone, even if that puts him in danger, as well as overall becoming a villain not for himself, but in honor of his father. But I love none of those great two more than Antonimus. What I find weird is how many changes he's had during the development of this thread and even before that. He was so insignificant back than, and was just called Anton.


The History of Antonimus
After having first thought of the idea of Timberland, I figured the ants and the bees were in a conflict. I first had the idea of someone called Antinae, but she was so insignificant that I scrapped her out. Then I came up with an ant who secretly conducts a train from Green city to Hondon. His name was Anton, and he had the power to suck the electricity from one machine and get it to the other, and also dig out stuff from those "X" marks that were in M&LSS.

Anton was said to be a normal ant trooper who got an accident in his job, causing him to have this electric power he had. He was a pretty "stick to the hero" guy, and would be worried about Mario at all times. He would even be the type of character that would say stuff even if they were so obvious it wasn't necessary to say anything like "hey look! The door in front of us opened! Let's go inside Mayro!"

You get an image of Antonimus back then, he was a bad character! I was going to scrap him, until I realized I could include him in the story in some other way.

Penny was first supposed to be in chapter 2, but she would only join until chapter 9, and you would meet her regularly in the game. She was more of the "sexy" type of character, until Lucifer came to fill in. So anyway, with no one in Chapter 2 anymore, she would go there, and that would put Anton to another chapter. It was only then that I thought of the fact that ants could life a lot, so I decided to make him a slave. Then, after having watched the Spartacus movie, I began getting inspired and put a whole new story arc. Then I was coming up with the one that would replace the movie's Antonimus. But then I looked closer at the name. Antonimus! And then I realized I should put him there, in the name of Antonimus. He also still retains the character from the movie, being affectionate with Spartacus and being enraged at the idea of the Roman Empire. He despised Crassus most of all, as he bought him once and taunted him about his lost freedom, by asking him if he liked oysters and snails as he was dining on them.

Although Antonimus dies in the movie, but here, I changed the story to take a little plot twist. This is Paper Mario: Plot-twisted after all! Later in the movie, Graccus, a Roman who was desperately trying to change Rome, did what Haraccus did and committed suicide in order never to hear of Rome or the Romans again. Crassus was his political concurrent, and he was more acclaimed than Graccus and was named head of the army.

Mostly, this story arc follows the plot of the movie itself, only true difference is, Antonimus won the duel with Startacus, not against Spartacus. In the movie, he actually loses it, and then Spartacus is crucified as the last slave surviving.

Anyway, this is getting way too off-topic. Here I present you, the One, The Only, ANTONIMUS!!!!!

Spoiler: Antonimus

Antonimus is an ant trooper and the sharpest tool in the shed, not counting optional partners. He is very strong and proud he would intimidate almost anyone! He used to live happily in the Doom Desert, until he and his family got captured, and enslaved by the Broman Empire. After that, he followed Startacus on a journey to free all slaves, which unfortunately failed. That plunged Antonimus into an eternal hatred towards the Bromans, who think they have power over anything. His overworld abilty is to push blocks too heavy for Mario to push. He can also lift them, which might allow different possible things to be done. He is a warrior-spirited person who would do anything to gain what he deserves, and he is fearless, but when desperate he will be extremely pessimistic. He has one goal, and that is being a hero! He is also pretty wise for a young lad, knowing the solution to the psychological problems of his friends. He is loved and acclaimed by people, and that is why nothing may get in his way!

So, seems this game is almost coming to an end. Next time, I think I will do something other than the chapters. Anyway, See ya!

So guys, how 'bout we... talk about even more stuff?

So first, lemme explain some names.

We have Brassus, based off of Crassus. Startacus from Spartacus. Haraccus is Graccus, and Blargtiatus is Latiatus, a slave merchant and owner of the gladiator school from which the slaves escaped.

These are the names from Antonimus' story arc.

Now Fifty, Habibtak and Sir K.-O's names are all based off of winds from the desert.

Fifty is based off of Khamsin, a wind that traverses Egypt. Khamsin is the literal translation of Fifty.
Habibtak is based off of the Habibat, another wind that traverses Egypt. Habib is the Arabic word for "love" as in "my love". Her female appearance fits that name.
Sir K.-O is based off of the Sirocco, except this wind does not traverse Egypt, but instead, the Desert of the Sahara, and it is stronger than both other winds. Which gives him the role of the leader and that name.

Blurrgr himself though has a similar name to his species, except it sounds more like "Burger".
Valldo has "Vall" in it, indicating he's a villager, and also the fact that "Aldo" can be heard tells well that he's not from Miiyoto, just to give the feeling that he comes from a foreign region.
Cybelle is I think kinda obvious, but in case you didn't notice, it's Cyber and Isabelle together. Cybelle is also a name that exists in real life.
Tuphantamon is also pretty obvious, Tutankhamon, king of Egypt, died at the age of 18? And Phant is the part of the word you understand most I guess.

So that does it for names. What do we talk about now? Oh yeah, ATTACKS!

Blurrgr: Flamethrower: Throws fire at an enemy to deal 5 damage. May burn it.
Stubborn look (3): Looks at the enemy with stubbornness, to straight after Fire lasers from his eyes. Has a 50% chance of blinding enemy and deals 3 damage ignoring defense.
Fireballs (3): Blasts himself to the air and throws fire at enemies from above. May burn all enemies and deals 4 to all
Heated stage (6): Calls in a scorching wind that will make enemies weaker to any attacks. Also has a 25% chance of burning.
Fire wall (9): Raises a wall of fire in front of an ally, if this ally is attacked, enemies will get hurt upon contact and their targets are unharmed.

Badge Attack: Flamespear (7): Deals 7 damage to all enemies, as well as burning them and ripping them.

Antonimus: Hard Punch: Deals 7 damage to an enemy.
Hard worker: Throws Mario or anyone else on an enemy. Damage delt depends on the character lifted. Here is a list of this.

Badge attack: Merge them! (15): Punches the first enemy so hard it flies backwards to the others and creates a stack of all of them, making you able to harm all of them at once for one turn. Deals 7 damage.

And yeah, if you noticed, both of them have five normal attacks instead of four. That's because there is something I haven't talked about yet. At some point in the story a partner will learn a new skill. Remember that attack Lancebob learned in chapter 11 in his theater segment? Yeah that's the one. Here are all fifth attacks of the other partners.

Goombeddy: Fang in the bone: Bite an enemy. Deals 3 damage
Kooplea: Shell Swoop (4): Stirke enemies from behind to deal more damage. The better the action command is performed, the stronger. Deals at least 1 damage to all.
Penny: Spin flight (3):Flies in a spital towrds the enemies. The force of the blow may make an enemy fly out of battle. Deals 4 damage ignoring defense.
Lancebob: One regal Steed: Lancebob pretends to be on a horse, increasing his level of enthusiasm and raises his attacks by 2 for two turns. Needs a cooldown of two turns.
Lucifer: Armerang (9): Throws her arm at enemies as a boomerang, hitting them many times. The boomerang will keep circulating until the action command is missed. May at some point electrifie enemies, even paralyse them. At some other point, the electricity will drop the enemies' defense to 0. Deals 2 damage on each hit.
Rockbert: Sit on you (5): Will stand on one enemy for some time, even if it's spiny. When a given button is present on the screen, you will have to hold that button. As time goes by the enemy will feel more dizzy and will lose more HP. Deals 3 damage on the stomp. May stun target eventually.
Nina: Blades of the Ninja: Jump attack an enemy with her sword. Has 50% of missing, but if successful, deals 6 damage.

As the partners were celebrating their survival of the All-Seeing Pyramid, Shadoodle came to them.

Shadoodle: Ok plumbers, now that you're having a party and all, can I join? I can show you my marvelous invention!
Hector: It's okay, Shadoodle, we'll take care of him! Go!
Shadoodle: If you say so!
Victor: Yeah! Go after that code star that's in the Kiti Island!
Shadoodle: I'm on it! These losers will never know how to get there!

Hector: Ok guys he's gone!
Victor: And before you say anything sorry for making you go inside that pyramid, I hope you can forgive us!
Blurrgr: Nah! It's okay! Being inside that thing was the my biggest achievement yet!
Lucifer: Well, you did almost kill me, buuuut I guess I couldn't have stopped it either! After all, the fact that I can survive saw blades made it seem completely harmless to me!
Blurrgr: No, princess, I am sorry I did that, I shouldn't have pushed you anyway.
Lancebob: Ok you two stop confessing to each other!
Hector: Myeah, now I feel terrible for what you guys had to go through. But I guess it was of worthy cause.
Penny: Now that I think of it though, why didn't YOU go and get the code star?
Hector: Uhh, Hello? Co-Creator of the world? If I die, so will half of this whole world! And same thing would happen to Victor!
Victor: I mean, didn't Hector tell you about the chosen ones?

Partners: Myeah, makes sense.

Meanwhile, at fort Hackula.

Evilness: HAHA! YES! GO GUYS! WOOHOO! THEY GOT ONLY ONE LEFT, AND THEN, THEY'LL COME HERE!
Hackula: Ugh! Quit being a baby about it! You are making it sound like I am going to lose!
Evilness: That's because you will lose, idiot! Don't you see, Mario and his team have got through the All-Seeing Pyramid!
Hackula: Well, look at the time, shouldn't I be picking up that star from Brassus?
Evilness: Oh yes, do it! At your own rosk! 'Cuz Mario's there!
Hackula: What if I was facing Mario right now? He would be intimidated! Plus, I have Brassus by my side, it's over, code star!

Back at the All-Seeing Pyramid, The Three winds are seeing talking to Mario.

Fifty: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, everyone, you have proven yourself worthy of Tuphantamon's treasure!
Habibtak: We will give you its exact location, and then it's yours for the keeping!
Sir K.-O: And we will make sure you come out of the pyramid safe, you won't need to sacrifice any more friends on the way! You are always welcome here Mario!
Goombeddy: Thank you, truly! We are grateful to you, even though you did kill our friends, but now that they are here, I guess it's just bad memories!

Sir K.-O does a weird dance and a map appears in front of him. It's a treasure chart!

Once the pyramid is exited, Brassus is seen. As soon as he sees you, he's in rage.

Brassus: What? You're still alive? But how? This pyramid was supposed to be the death of you!
Lancebob: Surrender, Vicious Turtle! We will slay your scaly self as I do with dragons!
Brassus: Yeah right! Bring it on!

A battle with Brassus is begun. He is quite tough, but not as tough as Bowser.

Brassus, lying on the ground: What? How could I lose to you insects like this? I am super powerful, I was supposed to win!
Antonimus: By sending us to die in that pyramid?
Brassus: Grrrr! I will kill you Antonimus, of all people. You dare humiliate me like that! You think this is over?
Antonimus, stepping on his head: Yes, insect! I just want you to know, you're an insect, and I don't care if I huwt youw feewings! You were just that bad, so bad the Bromans had to vote you in the senate so you wouldn't cry!
Lucifer: He... is an almost spitten image of me!
Antonimus: And one more thing, you stay away from me and my friends!

He is about to stomp on his stupid face.

Lucifer: Wait! He doesn't deserve to be beaten like that!

She helps him back up, to then b**ch slap him at the least expected moment.
Antonimus: How hilarious! I like your company guys, I regret to have been recruited at the end of your adventure!
Luna: That's what you get for being such a bully! Here! Eat my fingerless fists!

She spin-attacks Brassus multiple consecutive times, as Brassus runs away, crying about how miserable he now is.

Block: Honestly, I almost feel sorry for him! Almost!
Kooplea: I guess now that the head of the Broman Empire has cowered away, then there is no more Empire! Antonimus, Startacus can now rest in peace knowning that you have avenged him!
Antonimus: No guys, we did! It was a team effort, without each other, we would've all died!
Blind: Antonimus, my man, I am proud of your performance as a warrior! Even if we get separated, you will always be remembered by me!
Antonimus: Thank you guys! And Blurrgr, you too, you're way cooler than you think!

With that finally over. They finally head back to the Champs-Elypsées, after having endured this nightmare.

Okay now, let's get started with Chapter 15! Also good chapter, but yeah, now I feel that Chapter 13 is the best of all of them. Anyway, let's get started with Chapter 15! I already said that didn't I?

Merlon: Everyone! Thank my mustache you're saved! I was seriously worried when Majimi told me you were gone to the Doom Desert! I thought you would die in...
Blurrgr: Let us not have anymore memories of this!
Merlon: Well, I see that things didn't go so good. Anyway, what happened?
Hector, swooping in the house: I will tell you what! That last code star you want to get, that's Hatred! He is not the most violent of them all, but at first sight, it will attack you!
Goombeddy: I guess we're ok with that!
Victor, also just barged in: Your actual problem is how to get there! The star is located on Kiti Island!
Antonimus: What's so bad about that? Is the ocean like full of bad stuff?
Merlon: Well yes, but that's not the big thing see, the island was only discovered once, and then, it was never found again, even though it was definitely marked on the map, it's like it moved, or maybe just disappeared.
Hector: We put the code star there so that no evil would find it. Shadoodle won't get there easily, I'm telling you.
Luigi: But are we even supposed to go on the ocean?
Stayzee: That is most intriguing! We indeed need a boat!
Spike: Oh you think? I thought we had to ride on an oversized hot-dog to go on the ocean!
Stayzee: Yes! That is convenient!
Spike: I was being sarcastic!
Peach: Anyway, does anyone have a boat?
...

Suddenly a crash is heard outside, and a very familiar and reassuring music plays. Perhaps this is a returning character from, I don't know, TTYD?

Mario and co. rush outside to see what's going on.

Mario notices a vaguely familiar Ghost ship in the harbor. As he goes inside, he remembers more memories. And reassuring ones, at that. He goes even deeper. The last room contains an oddly familiar skull. Guy.

Cortez: That was abrupt! I should've stitched those sails better!
Mario: Hi!
Cortez: What? Who goes unannounced? Oooooooooo... You shooooooouuuuuuuld tuuuuuurrrn baaaaaaack! Oh hey, amigo!
Kooplea: You... know him?
Cortez: Yes, yes, see, Mario here got me back my precious Skull gem which powers me ship!
Goombeddy: Lemme see... skull gem... Cortez... Hmmmmmmyeah, all true!
Cortez: So anyway, amigo, where in the blazing seas is this place?
Mario: <Insert story here.>
Cortez: I see, so you need to get to that Kiti Island, eh?
Luigi: Yes, exactly! So could you help us?
Cortez: Sure thing, amigo!
Peach: That... was easy!
Cortez: Wait... Oh no!
Nina: Let me guess! You lost the skull gem?
Cortez: How did you know?
Nina: Kind of stuff's pretty predictable, happens all the darning time!
Cortez: But amigo, without my precious skull gem, I can't sail! Remember? It must've fallen somewhere 'round the area!

So, did you find it?
Nina: Ya bet!
Cortez: Yes, thank you amigo! Let us sail across the sea!

You sail. This segment here is kinda Wind Waker-ish, you use the wind to go faster in places. Some islands have windmill like structures that can change the wind direction. You will also come across big bloopers on the way, shoot them with your cannons.

After what seems like an endless ocean maze, you see an oddly shaped island in the distance.

Penny: Wait... is it?
Cortez: Yes, señorita, this is, without any doubt, Kiti island! It was discovered by the Kiti, but many species inhabit it as well, like Magiblots, Pyropines, and even wild Yoshis! So be careful on your search for that code star!

Blind: Mario, I know we got through possibly the most dangerous place on earth, but we just still must stay vigilant!
Stayzee: And here he goes again with his cautiousness!
Lucifer: Stayzee, I thought I was the mean one! I feel for him, what's the big deal in being cautious?
Rockbert: Don't worry, Mr. Blind, doesn't mean if she disses you that you are bad!
Stayzee: Oh please! What could possibly happen that is bad on this island? This sparkling coast! The jungle that dazzles with the greenest of greens! Cautiousness would only decrease how much we enjoy this trip!

A Yoshi comes out of a bush and gubbles her necklace (which is btw unseen on her artwork).

Stayzee: Oh dear! What a monster!
Blind: Always be vigilant, did I say!

So you venture in the jungle. You fight red Magiblots, Yoshis (yes, wild yoshis, enemy ones), Spear guys, putrid piranha plants and also camelefos. Jungle enemies. There even are flowers that might look innocent, but attempt to bite you if you get close.

At some point.

Kooplea: Do we even know where we're going? It seems to me like we're just walking!
Penny: I dunno, is anyone keeping track of where we're going?
Blurrgr: Uuuuuhhh... No, I guess. But don't look at me, not like I was gonna keep track of every single pixel of the land I look at!
Antonimus: I'd say that, we're almost definitely lost! At this point, we can only wander aimlessly!
Rockbert: Hey guys, look! A fountain!
Luna, patting him on the back: Yeah, yeah, very good, Rock, you... wait... he's right, the fountain doesn't look natural, it was man-made!
Nina: GJ, Rock Hawk! See, told you you weren't useless!
Stayzee: Oh come on, now, any idiot would've spotted such a thing!
Nina: Here we go ag'n! Can you stop being a murderer of accomplishments?
Stayzee: Oh, please dear, I am clearly being honest here!
Block: Well then try not to say anything. Some people here are extremely sensitive! And I'm not pointing out anyone, so you know yourselves.
Stayzee: Ugh!

Anyway, by following the pathway that is connected to the fountain, you arrive at a small village. Smallest one in the whole game, in fact. Once you enter, you are greeted by a tiki-like creature, but it looks more like a cat. It points its stick at you.

Kiti: Meow!
Blurrgr: Ok, what?
Kiti: Meow, Meow!
Kiti 2: MEOW! Meow Meow. Chief.

They are presumably taken to the chief, as it is the only word they know how to speak.

Kiti: Meow! Chief, meow meow maaaaaawwwww! Krrrrr!
Mokitima: So you're telling me, that our village is being invaded?
Kiti: Meeeow!
Mokitima: Hmmmm, ok. My friends, you are apparently considered intruders, so I guess I can't do anything about it, I will have to sentence you to something.
Blurrgr: Wait, man, you haven't any proof o' that! If you keep believing anything you're told, you're gonna get framed someday, so I guess consider that for the future.
Mokitima: Oh yeah? Well, you just gave me a reason not to believe you!
Blurrgr: Ugh! Dude! Someone talk to him!
Lancebob: My good sir, suggest us anything, and let us free!
Mokitima: There really is nothing noteworthy of a problem around here, so, I'd say I don't have anything to do for you! So that means that I'll just do my thing on you!

He raises his hands up high, creating lightning.

Lucifer: Hey, I know how to play with lightning too, so don't think you stupid cat in a Halloween costume's gonna stop us! Wait a second, you, look like cats.
Goombeddy: Lucifer, my friend, Kitis ARE cats, according to my tablet here. Their civilization is just so highly developped at a point you won't even realize they're actual cats! Smartest cats, I'll tell ya! They have created technology beyond human imagining!
Lucifer: Can you stop saying "human" to designate creatures with out level of understanding! Not even quarter of us are human, and it's becoming confusing!
Luigi: Wait! Sir Kiti! Don't kill us! We will prove to you that we can save your life! Do you know the world is in danger?
Mokitima, suddenly stops the lighning: Wait what?
Lucifer: That's right, the world is in danger, and we're here to stop this from happening! Soooooo, if you let us go, we'll save you!
Goombeddy: Exactly how I would've said it!
Mokitima: How am I supposed to know?

Shadoodle suddenly appears in the room.

Shadoodle: Yes! At last! I have found you Mario! Maybe you managed to find this island, but you never find the code star before I do! Because I am going to take care of you before that!

A battle is engaged. This time, he still has the same stats as always, but by now, the fight becomes easy. Shadoodle flees, promising that next time, would be the last time.

Antonimus: Yeah right, it could be last time if we beat him for the last time, that's what I'm saying.
Mokitima: What was that thing?
Antonimus: That's a guy who wants to wreck the universe including your island! So if you let us go...
Mokitima: What no! I am not letting you go so easily! Ok that's it, I had it with you! Or wait a second! I know what to do! Some time ago, recently, the volcano started going super crazy with lava and meteors and whatever volcano junk you can think of. True, our civilization's inventions let us evacuate to another part of the island quickly, but it's getting tiring.
Penny: You have all those cannons though, can't you like blast something at the volcano?
Mokitima: Oh no! We must not destroy it! That volcano contains the core of the island, without which it would crumple! So I just want you to go and see what's causing the volcano hyperactivity, and kill it if you must.
Peach: That's fair, I guess.

Onward to the volcano. Just like in Paper Mario 64, you can't go there quite yet, you have to do some stuff first. Inside the volcano, you fight Pyro guys (not you, TPG), Pyropines which are variations of chapter 13's Porguipines, Fire bros, Spanias, Clubbas, and also Lava Puzzeeles, turns out the water ones were just a beginning.

Deep down in the center of the volcano, you will find a cubic wall with ancient motives on it. Suddenly, loud music is heard coming out, as an imposing lava pillar comes out of behind the wall and out of the crater of the volcano.

Block: That must be the thing. Let's find out what it is!

They rush to the back, to find some kind of Tiki DJ. He appeared to have a huge crack in one mis mask's eye, his hair was of fire, and he looked like he was made of rock.

???: Yeap, that's what I'm talking about! Even LOUDER!
Block: And who're you supposed to be?
???: YEAAARGH! Dude, y'scared meh man! How dare you startle me, of all living creatures, like that? Huh? Ye better got a good explanation!
Block: Uh, you better have a good explanation! Why are you making this volcano erupt?
???: What now, did ah do somethin' wrong? Just enjoying life, music, women! You tellin' me now that I should stop this? What the heck man! I'm the god of fire! I ain't obeying to shrimps like y'all!
Blind: God of fire?
???: Yes! Wait... you tellin' me, that you don't know, about this island's god of fire?
Chillianna: B...but we just got there!
Blurrgr: Woah! I'm god of fire! Can't surpass me in THAT domain!

The god of fire snaps his fingers and a juge lava geyser emerges from under Blurrgr.

Blurrgr: Hey! Not cool! Put me down! Now!
Antonimus: Hey look, we don't want trouble, we just want to politely ask you if you could stop making the volcano erupt?
GOF: No can do, babies, this bod' runs on music juice! I can't just stop! That is, unless you find my precious item I lost two hundred years ago. I think I dropped it somewhere on the crater!
Blurrgr: And after that, you stop the eruptions!
GOF: Cross pf the heart, right there! Pleased to meet ya anyway, I call myself X-Groller, but you can just call me X.
You set off to find this special item. It's on the top of the volcano. You have to make your way there. The item turns out to be some earphones.

X-Groller: Excellent, people. Now, those earphones don't have any battery, so you gotta get them some juice. The jungle you came across is the super jungle, reknown for being the ancient habitat of a tribe of wizards, ancestors of the Kiti. They have started the development of their technology, and from there the Kiti made them better. In the ruins there are located the batteries needed. Get the batteries, and you complete the test.
Lancebob: A test? We were not told of such a thing before!
X-Groller: Yeah, I know, there's this guy who wants to do bad things to the world, I was awakened and told to wait for the chosen one. Problem is, things got boring and I started making music. So I guess I am supposed to give you something that's called a code star when you do complete the test.
Goombeddy: Great! That means we were actually getting the code star.

Wuz gonna happen? See ya!

So guys, unfortunately, we will have to wait even more for Daewand's artwork, as I am not only working on my 'Shroom images, but I am also planning on something big, something I have in mind. And I'm sure that something's a good something, otherwise, I wouldn't be planning it at the moment.

Hello, guys, I am having a hard time knowing how to put Chapter 15 into words, but in the meantime, today, I made this drawing on paper about chapter 13.

You can clearly see Daewand and Kolonel Klein on the right, and that Ninji under Daewand is Yang. In front of them, you can see Block, who is in a state of total rage, which is supposed to happen after Cybelle is stabbed by Daewand. Nina is seen sitting on the floor, crying about the fact that her brother may never forgive her. And Mario is readying himself for the battle. Behind him is Blurrgr, blinking.

The Red mist is on top of the image, with its jaws open. On the far left, you can see Professor Valldo, who is recognized thanks to the fact that he looks like a Villager from Animal Crossing. Just behind him can be found Cybelle, his robotic assistant/daughter he made himself, scared by the red mist and the bad guys surrounding her.

In the background, you can see here Miiyoto: There is one Japanese gate behind the main cast of the chapter, Mt. Funji, which looks like the real world's Mt. Fuji to the right, and a building, possibly the hotel, to the left, with a signpost that has a bunch of Japanese characters, some that look like Mario things.

Here it comes boys. Chapter 15.

Merlon: Everyone! Thank my mustache you're saved! I was seriously worried when Majimi told me you were gone to the Doom Desert! I thought you would die in...
Blurrgr: Let us not have anymore memories of this!
Merlon: Well, I see that things didn't go so good. Anyway, what happened?
Hector, swooping in the house: I will tell you what! That last code star you want to get, that's Hatred! He is not the most violent of them all, but at first sight, it will attack you!
Goombeddy: I guess we're ok with that!
Victor, also just barged in: Your actual problem is how to get there! The star is located on Kiti Island!
Antonimus: What's so bad about that? Is the ocean like full of bad stuff?
Merlon: Well yes, but that's not the big thing see, the island was only discovered once, and then, it was never found again, even though it was definitely marked on the map, it's like it moved, or maybe just disappeared.
Hector: We put the code star there so that no evil would find it. Shadoodle won't get there easily, I'm telling you.
Luigi: But are we even supposed to go on the ocean?
Stayzee: That is most intriguing! We indeed need a boat!
Spike: Oh you think? I thought we had to ride on an oversized hot-dog to go on the ocean!
Stayzee: Yes! That is convenient!
Spike: I was being sarcastic!
Peach: Anyway, does anyone have a boat?
...

Suddenly a crash is heard outside, and a very familiar and reassuring music plays. Perhaps this is a returning character from, I don't know, TTYD?

Mario and co. rush outside to see what's going on.

Mario notices a vaguely familiar Ghost ship in the harbor. As he goes inside, he remembers more memories. And reassuring ones, at that. He goes even deeper. The last room contains an oddly familiar skull. Guy.

Cortez: That was abrupt! I should've stitched those sails better!
Mario: Hi!
Cortez: What? Who goes unannounced? Oooooooooo... You shooooooouuuuuuuld tuuuuuurrrn baaaaaaack! Oh hey, amigo!
Kooplea: You... know him?
Cortez: Yes, yes, see, Mario here got me back my precious Skull gem which powers me ship!
Goombeddy: Lemme see... skull gem... Cortez... Hmmmmmmyeah, all true!
Cortez: So anyway, amigo, where in the blazing seas is this place?
Mario: <Insert story here.>
Cortez: I see, so you need to get to that Kiti Island, eh?
Luigi: Yes, exactly! So could you help us?
Cortez: Sure thing, amigo!
Peach: That... was easy!
Cortez: Wait... Oh no!
Nina: Let me guess! You lost the skull gem?
Cortez: How did you know?
Nina: Kind of stuff's pretty predictable, happens all the darning time!
Cortez: But amigo, without my precious skull gem, I can't sail! Remember? It must've fallen somewhere 'round the area!

So, did you find it?
Nina: Ya bet!
Cortez: Yes, thank you amigo! Let us sail across the sea!

You sail. This segment here is kinda Wind Waker-ish, you use the wind to go faster in places. Some islands have windmill like structures that can change the wind direction. You will also come across big bloopers on the way, shoot them with your cannons.

After what seems like an endless ocean maze, you see an oddly shaped island in the distance.

Penny: Wait... is it?
Cortez: Yes, señorita, this is, without any doubt, Kiti island! It was discovered by the Kiti, but many species inhabit it as well, like Magiblots, Pyropines, and even wild Yoshis! So be careful on your search for that code star!

Blind: Mario, I know we got through possibly the most dangerous place on earth, but we just still must stay vigilant!
Stayzee: And here he goes again with his cautiousness!
Lucifer: Stayzee, I thought I was the mean one! I feel for him, what's the big deal in being cautious?
Rockbert: Don't worry, Mr. Blind, doesn't mean if she disses you that you are bad!
Stayzee: Oh please! What could possibly happen that is bad on this island? This sparkling coast! The jungle that dazzles with the greenest of greens! Cautiousness would only decrease how much we enjoy this trip!

A Yoshi comes out of a bush and gubbles her necklace (which is btw unseen on her artwork).

Stayzee: Oh dear! What a monster!
Blind: Always be vigilant, did I say!

So you venture in the jungle. You fight red Magiblots, Yoshis (yes, wild yoshis, enemy ones), Spear guys, putrid piranha plants and also camelefos. Jungle enemies. There even are flowers that might look innocent, but attempt to bite you if you get close.

At some point.

Kooplea: Do we even know where we're going? It seems to me like we're just walking!
Penny: I dunno, is anyone keeping track of where we're going?
Blurrgr: Uuuuuhhh... No, I guess. But don't look at me, not like I was gonna keep track of every single pixel of the land I look at!
Antonimus: I'd say that, we're almost definitely lost! At this point, we can only wander aimlessly!
Rockbert: Hey guys, look! A fountain!
Luna, patting him on the back: Yeah, yeah, very good, Rock, you... wait... he's right, the fountain doesn't look natural, it was man-made!
Nina: GJ, Rock Hawk! See, told you you weren't useless!
Stayzee: Oh come on, now, any idiot would've spotted such a thing!
Nina: Here we go ag'n! Can you stop being a murderer of accomplishments?
Stayzee: Oh, please dear, I am clearly being honest here!
Block: Well then try not to say anything. Some people here are extremely sensitive! And I'm not pointing out anyone, so you know yourselves.
Stayzee: Ugh!

Anyway, by following the pathway that is connected to the fountain, you arrive at a small village. Smallest one in the whole game, in fact. Once you enter, you are greeted by a tiki-like creature, but it looks more like a cat. It points its stick at you.

Kiti: Meow!
Blurrgr: Ok, what?
Kiti: Meow, Meow!
Kiti 2: MEOW! Meow Meow. Chief.

They are presumably taken to the chief, as it is the only word they know how to speak.

Kiti: Meow! Chief, meow meow maaaaaawwwww! Krrrrr!
Mokitima: So you're telling me, that our village is being invaded?
Kiti: Meeeow!
Mokitima: Hmmmm, ok. My friends, you are apparently considered intruders, so I guess I can't do anything about it, I will have to sentence you to something.
Blurrgr: Wait, man, you haven't any proof o' that! If you keep believing anything you're told, you're gonna get framed someday, so I guess consider that for the future.
Mokitima: Oh yeah? Well, you just gave me a reason not to believe you!
Blurrgr: Ugh! Dude! Someone talk to him!
Lancebob: My good sir, suggest us anything, and let us free!
Mokitima: There really is nothing noteworthy of a problem around here, so, I'd say I don't have anything to do for you! So that means that I'll just do my thing on you!

He raises his hands up high, creating lightning.

Lucifer: Hey, I know how to play with lightning too, so don't think you stupid cat in a Halloween costume's gonna stop us! Wait a second, you, look like cats.
Goombeddy: Lucifer, my friend, Kitis ARE cats, according to my tablet here. Their civilization is just so highly developped at a point you won't even realize they're actual cats! Smartest cats, I'll tell ya! They have created technology beyond human imagining!
Lucifer: Can you stop saying "human" to designate creatures with out level of understanding! Not even quarter of us are human, and it's becoming confusing!
Luigi: Wait! Sir Kiti! Don't kill us! We will prove to you that we can save your life! Do you know the world is in danger?
Mokitima, suddenly stops the lighning: Wait what?
Lucifer: That's right, the world is in danger, and we're here to stop this from happening! Soooooo, if you let us go, we'll save you!
Goombeddy: Exactly how I would've said it!
Mokitima: How am I supposed to know?

Shadoodle suddenly appears in the room.

Shadoodle: Yes! At last! I have found you Mario! Maybe you managed to find this island, but you never find the code star before I do! Because I am going to take care of you before that!

A battle is engaged. This time, he still has the same stats as always, but by now, the fight becomes easy. Shadoodle flees, promising that next time, would be the last time.

Antonimus: Yeah right, it could be last time if we beat him for the last time, that's what I'm saying.
Mokitima: What was that thing?
Antonimus: That's a guy who wants to wreck the universe including your island! So if you let us go...
Mokitima: What no! I am not letting you go so easily! Ok that's it, I had it with you! Or wait a second! I know what to do! Some time ago, recently, the volcano started going super crazy with lava and meteors and whatever volcano junk you can think of. True, our civilization's inventions let us evacuate to another part of the island quickly, but it's getting tiring.
Penny: You have all those cannons though, can't you like blast something at the volcano?
Mokitima: Oh no! We must not destroy it! That volcano contains the core of the island, without which it would crumple! So I just want you to go and see what's causing the volcano hyperactivity, and kill it if you must.
Peach: That's fair, I guess.

Onward to the volcano. Just like in Paper Mario 64, you can't go there quite yet, you have to do some stuff first. Inside the volcano, you fight Pyro guys (not you, TPG), Pyropines which are variations of chapter 13's Porguipines, Fire bros, Spanias, Clubbas, and also Lava Puzzeeles, turns out the water ones were just a beginning.

Deep down in the center of the volcano, you will find a cubic wall with ancient motives on it. Suddenly, loud music is heard coming out, as an imposing lava pillar comes out of behind the wall and out of the crater of the volcano.

Block: That must be the thing. Let's find out what it is!

They rush to the back, to find some kind of Tiki DJ. He appeared to have a huge crack in one mis mask's eye, his hair was of fire, and he looked like he was made of rock.

???: Yeap, that's what I'm talking about! Even LOUDER!
Block: And who're you supposed to be?
???: YEAAARGH! Dude, y'scared meh man! How dare you startle me, of all living creatures, like that? Huh? Ye better got a good explanation!
Block: Uh, you better have a good explanation! Why are you making this volcano erupt?
???: What now, did ah do somethin' wrong? Just enjoying life, music, women! You tellin' me now that I should stop this? What the heck man! I'm the god of fire! I ain't obeying to shrimps like y'all!
Blind: God of fire?
???: Yes! Wait... you tellin' me, that you don't know, about this island's god of fire?
Chillianna: B...but we just got there!
Blurrgr: Woah! I'm god of fire! Can't surpass me in THAT domain!

The god of fire snaps his fingers and a juge lava geyser emerges from under Blurrgr.

Blurrgr: Hey! Not cool! Put me down! Now!
Antonimus: Hey look, we don't want trouble, we just want to politely ask you if you could stop making the volcano erupt?
GOF: No can do, babies, this bod' runs on music juice! I can't just stop! That is, unless you find my precious item I lost two hundred years ago. I think I dropped it somewhere on the crater!
Blurrgr: And after that, you stop the eruptions!
GOF: Cross pf the heart, right there! Pleased to meet ya anyway, I call myself X-Groller, but you can just call me X.
You set off to find this special item. It's on the top of the volcano. You have to make your way there. The item turns out to be some earphones.

X-Groller: Excellent, people. Now, those earphones don't have any battery, so you gotta get them some juice. The jungle you came across is the super jungle, reknown for being the ancient habitat of a tribe of wizards, ancestors of the Kiti. They have started the development of their technology, and from there the Kiti made them better. In the ruins there are located the batteries needed. Get the batteries, and you complete the test.
Lancebob: A test? We were not told of such a thing before!
X-Groller: Yeah, I know, there's this guy who wants to do bad things to the world, I was awakened and told to wait for the chosen one. Problem is, things got boring and I started making music. So I guess I am supposed to give you something that's called a code star when you do complete the test.
Goombeddy: Great! That means we were actually getting the code star.

Go to the ruins, which are though also volcanic the deeper you go. They start off jungle themed. Make that Mayahem-ish if you want. Even the music has aztec vibes, and I am just randomly citing various civilizations while it's only supposed to be the Tiki one. Is Tiki even a civilization? I mean I thought it was, but it's actually just the type of sculpture in wood.

Anyway, let's stay on topic. At the end, X-Groller's here.

X-Groller: Nice job, dudes! Your price awaits at the top of the volcano!
Shadoodle just appeared: Top of the volcano, you say? Ok! I'll be there! I guess I'll just pick it up for you!
Luna: Quick! He's running away! We gotta get to the top of the volcano before he does!
Spike: Lemme guess, you're gonna spice things up with a punch of yours? I thought you were a peace lover, and thus you're not supposed to be the first one who flies into him!
Luna: I SAID LETS GO! STOP WASTING TIME!
Spike: Okay! Okay okay! No need to yell!

He runs away. Everyone too runs for the code star.

Antonimus: This is it, guys. Our last code star before the final chapter!
Blurrgr: That is, if we beat the guy. He seems pretty strong!
Goombeddy: Don't worry, we already fought him many times, won't be so hard!
Blind: We do have to worry about this "invention" he was talking about! Doesn't sound too promising to me!
Lucifer: Couldn't've said it better, it sounded like it was gonna bring us down!
Stayzee: Come on now! Why the worry? You have me!
Penny: Shut up, Jennifer Saunders.
Stayzee: Who is this woman you speak of? That doesn't matter anyway!

On the top of the volcano, Shadoodle is seen laughing, he got his hands on the code star.

Hatred, the code star: Hey! Put me down, you hideous pile of gibberish! I deserve to be handed by more presentable beings!
Shadoodle: Oh, all these years in the shadows, yet, I still was not remembered! How could you forget about me, code star! I will deliver you to those stupid wizards who think they are my masters, and then destroy you, and your brothers, once and for all!
Hatred: I remember that voice that sounded like a dehydrated Cheep Cheep, but no, that face, oh sorry, I meant behind be new to me!
Shadoodle: Stop mocking me code star! You will pay for your insolence!
Hatred: Whattaya want? Coin, Rupee, Bell, Yen, Dollars? I have it all! If I pay you, would you just take away those ugly black sausages from me?
Shadoodle: Shut up! When I destroy you, you will never see them again!
Hatred: Yeah, that's fair enough!
Luna: Hey you! Hand over that star! Don't let me go Super Luna on you!
Hatred: Hey look! Those guys look nicer than your eyes alone!
Peach: Look, Shadoodle it's over! Don't you ever learn, whenever you fight us, you lose! There's no point in trying to beat us!
Shadoodle: True, I myself in this form am sorta powerless, but... however, I have THIS!!

He shows the group a machine, full of lava, equipped with rockets, also full of lava.

Luna: Ok first off all, that looks ridiculous.
Luigi: Second, you are not normally like this?
Shadoodle: If you ever survive this, you'll see!
Hatred: Wait? These are the heroes? I wanna go with'em! Save the world.
Shadoodle: No you don't, you're gonna help me destroy it! First, I use you to make my
Machine invincible, then I destroy you!
Hatred: Aren't you just one sad party pooper.
Shadoodle: Shut it! THIS ENDS NOW!

He gets inside the machine, with the code star. The machine looks super threatening, and even has arms, what's not to fear?

BOSS CHAPTER 15: SHADOODLE

Tattle: So yeah, no need to introduce Shadoodle, but this machine is the real deal here! Max HP is 200, ATT is 15, Def is 3. It is very powerful, it can burn you! The lava is that dangerous here! We might have survived worse, but that doesn't mean we have to let our guards down! Shadoodle is the most fearless and fearsome foe we've ever faced!

The fight is over, music was played by X-Groller, bongos, guitare, all that super cool volcanic theme you'd expect.

Shadoodle: What! No! What happened to my machine! It was indestructible!
Lucifer: We just happen to be more indestructible than your machine. And me, who has my body put together by puzzle pieces, of all people just said that!
Lancebob: Surrender, fool beast! We beat you, for good! You might've ridiculed us before, with your ridiculous strengh, but we have outgrown you! Now hand over the code star!
Shadoodle: You speak like this is over, but there still is spmething you haven't thought out, I'm still here! Just need to get out of this pile of useless rust and... wait, I can't get out!
Lancebob: Looks like you haven't thought out how to get out of here!
Shadoodle: Haha! Very funny! This machine still is juiced enough to finish you off!

The machine starts leaning towards the inside of the volcano.

Shadoodle: Wait, what? NO, THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING! I'M GONNA DIE AGAIN! DUDE, FIRST I WAS A WORLD DESTROYER, NOW A CHILD'S DRAWING? DON'T YOU SMUG LIKE THAT MARIO, I WILL DESTROY YOU, IN ANOTHER LIFE! EVEN IF THAT KILLS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeee...

The machine falls into the volcano, and a humongous lava geyser rises while a depressed Shadoodle yells "YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGHHHH!" as the machine explodes in the air and Hatred comes out.

Hatred: Heroes, you saved me. I'm supposed to hate, but I am truly grateful. And seems you got the whole gang of code stars with you! Man, that's spicy! But I can't shake the feeling that there still is one missing.
Peach: Evilness? He's in Hackula's castle!
Hatred: Yes! Thank you, lady! Evilness man, he's the only one who knows the world is not hugs and kisses all the time! We shall make our way to Fort Hackula right away!
Luna: Yeah, don't get too excited.
Hatred: You look like a code star.

Also, during the boss fighy, X-Groller is seen playing the theme music in the background. He even switches instruments when needed. Btw, here's a drawing of him, to make up for the fact that there is no new partner here.
