Yeah, Mario canon is obviously as barebones as it can get. I mean, the games that try the hardest to have a proper story are passed off as non-canon, or else they would be referenced more.

By the way, in case anyone was wondering, I voted for Waluigi in the poll because I feel like his own year would mean a Waluigi game, something more unique that the Mario series desperately needs.

Or at least integrate him into the Wario series, for Christ sake.

I don't really see what's so special about Mario. He doesn't even have any visible personality. Even Luigi has a little vibe to him, while Mario's just…blank.
