Good, this will give me a chance to playthrough SM3DW. I wasn't going to buy DKTF until next year anyway.

Not to mention A link between worlds comes out the same day as SM3DW.

where's the evidence of that

Also as much as i'm loving the look of this game, I am worried that this is just going to be a hd rehash of DKCR.

let me turn your question around: where's the evidence that you can play as dixie solo? all the footage either shows co-op dk dixie, or has dk solo with dixie as a powerup
 
Yeah, much like with Donkey Kong Country Returns, you can only use Donkey Kong in single player mode. Diddy and Dixie can only be played by player 2.
 
Oh gosh, this game is looking awesome so far. I don't think it'll be just a "rehash" of the previous game in HD. The camera perspective gimmick is very interesting and adds a lot of depth to the gameplay. Also Dixie Kong. <3
 
They got a great new way of using minecarts... actually it's very much like the Creepy Castle Minecart in DK64.
