I think he means achievements.

i don't think i care for this idea very much

I don't like this idea either.

It would be cool if there was like some sort of RPG system on these forums, so when you hit a milestone, you gain something for that RPG thing that you can use.

It might get a lot of people posting again.

There's an achievment system on Lily's forum? Do you mean the badge system?
Yes, the badge system.
What's it like?

I think you just get a badge every time you hit some sort of milestone, like a certain amount of posts. (That's the only one I can remember)
Oh, well then I think the ranks and stars are enough.

Well, over at BrawlVault, there is an awards system:

http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=30094.0

You get awards based on total downloads of hacks, how many hacks you uploaded, and other stuff.

I was thinking, hypothetically, if we do get an awards system, we should base it off the wiki mainly too. How many edits you made, how many articles you created, how images you uploaded, if you are/were a writer for the 'Shroom, etc. It can also apply to winning contests and other crap on the forums or stuff.

I think it's useless, but then again, I got an award myself over at BrawlVault and it felt pretty nice to have a nice shining badge next to your avatar.

I'm sure you got it from more than just posts, but I'm too lazy to check what they are.
Also the creation of topics, useragents, OS, karma and side stuff like avatars, signatures, the use of functions like Search and the duration of membership.
I've also seen stuff like posting at a fast rate, a certain amount of posts in one day, or never sleeping (dunno what that exactly is). (Can you still follow me?)

These are what I found on Lily's forum.

That isn't the point. This "two letter" thing becomes increasingly annoying when attempting to find the number of times GP has said "I agree". I tried that once. Didn't work.

I completely agree with the idea of removing the two letter thing.

It has a good reason.
Go to the Search function and search on "sh".
You'll notice for example Yoshiwaker or "Good wishes aren't always good wishes".
So it would be stupid to look for "I", as that comes in almost every post, as I just showed you with bolded red letters "I".

Holy crap, what coding this post uses.

It's not a rule, it's a technical limitation. I'm fairly certain there's no way for Steve to change it himself.
There is a way, but that requires editing the PHP files this forum runs on.
