    (little me feeling super sad about this): Boo…now I'll never get to see anyone make a page on there about MCCW. The only notable thing about it other than the RP itself is a wiki on fandom that isn't even being edited that much. I wish more people on the web would talk about it outside of us Marioboards people! We need more recognition or else we won't get any reviews or merchandise deals!

    Question for native English speakers: how do you express, as colloquially as possible, that a drink doesn't quench your thirst? In Romanian, it would be (word for word transl., sort of) "it doesn't hold your thirst"; I'm wondering if something similar exists in English.

    I was once asked by people who don't speak my native language why I prefer bottled water over tap water; when I candidly replied, in English, that tap water "doesn't satisfy me" (simply because I wasn't aware of a less snobbish way to put it), they looked weird at me. I'd, uh, like to avoid situations like that in the future.

    not too bad, y'know! it becomes less frustrating if you learn to be vigilant and traipse through it. the mobile controls aren't a huge hindrance. getting the chaos emeralds beforehand helps a lot, too.

    Reminds me of the time I beat Sonic 1 (Game Gear) on the PDA. Those PDAs have a tiny analogue stick to which you control Sonic, as well as a button where you can press to make Sonic jump. The game's difficult meant that I usually used save states to beat it, so I can't say that I did it the proper way.

    I drank pumpkin spice latte once in 2017 and I'm not embarrassed to affirm it's since been a personal favourite.

    Why the fuck is it only sold seasonally, though--and, more importantly, why do sellers NEVER seem to meet demand for it?! The reason I haven't had it since is because coffee bars are always fresh out of pumpkin spice whenever I go grab it. And I'm too lazy to prepare one myself but whatever. Talk about bad luck. It wasn't even that good, actually. Grumble, grumble...

    I love belgian waffles, we used to find packages of them in the dollar store so we got them occasionally

    Now they're being sold in Walmart for like 3-4 dollars I think?
    Which I guess is good since it means people liked them enough for it to be bumped up

    I'm curious how many are packaged at once and if the price is warranted relative to that.

    Anyway, Belgian waffles are great, but you can never go wrong with stroopfwafels. Dutch waffles, as in.

    Don't know if they're sold in the US, but they're never too expensive here. 1.65 bucks / 10 pieces. Be sure to put one above a steaming hot cup of tea/coffee so it gets a little softer. Or, you can eat it the way it is. Either way, it's heaven.

    I'm currently pissed as hell. Why, you ask?

    Dusted off New Super Mario Bros. 2 and played on my old 5-shiny-stars save file. Out of boredom, I decided to use a certain trick that would increase my score quickly, which ended with me dying five times consecutively in a level. The White Super Leaf consequently appeared—now, I was mindful of the fact that it removes the shine in your save file stars, but this stupid IGN guide assured me that would only take effect if you pick up the leaf, which I didn't.

    Save game, quit game.

    Suddenly, the shine on my old save file is gone… And I DID NOT pick up the leaf.

    The best way to beat NSMBW without fear of losing shiny stars is to play in multiplayer, that's where the block doesn't show up at all.

    I did play NSMBW in multiplayer with Mario just floating in a bubble, because fuck playing as Mario, I want to be my modded Baby Luigi/Blue Toad.

    I remember a teacher in elementary school bringing up how Coca Cola is actually green before it's given the characteristic brown dye (which is a myth, by the way). Everyone in my classroom went "EEEWWW", which I found baffling because I woulda drunk that shit in a heartbeat—and I still would.
