Awards Killing Game 2x2: Moon of Hope (Game Thread) - Day 3 - The Rat, the Bat, and the Dragon

Does the eye in the wall react to anything? Hmm... I'm not sure I can hear it like I can Fascia, though.

If there's a way to examine the bottom of the Canyon, are there unwanted things down there?
You wave at the eye and it doesn't follow your movements. You try poking the eye, noting theres a small lens in front of it. It blinks and vanishes for a bit, then reappears looking a bit teary. The damaged wall hole it occupies is pretty crude, but it seems it fits nicely in there.

Tanner floats down into the canyon and reports there's a smashed machine of some kind. From what he can tell from a distance, it has a few devices on its arms. He refutes any attempt you make to get him to haul it up.

Smell the rag

Someone told me to hold up a lighter on the smokehouse, I'm sure nothing will happen and I won't get hurt in any way if I do this

In the name of... Research, I guess I'll... light a match and throw it into the Smokehouse.
Kyeh, I don't think this is a good idea...

At least the Kitchen's still flooded...

On second thought, that moron can do it.

Nothing happened!

Are there marks on the inside of the Hollow Tree, as if someone was climbing it?

The Garage and Metal Laboratory - do those have any cloth rags missing?

Something else... hm. Do the coal piles in the Pit Mine or Round House minecarts seem dug through?

There's a few skid marks on the tree's inside.

Neither of them sources the rag that is missing.

The coal pile in the Pit Mine seems jostled and touched.

Shine a darklight on the wall eyeball
You shine a darklight. The eye stares back at you.

Fascia thinks... we should check the Maintenance Hub and Hydro Generators for anything out of place just to be sure. And the Cellar, too.

That eye, as well. Does it react when bringing the burnt cloth and bomb parts near it?

There's some duct tape and a bunch of lens down in the outflow channel that flows from the Sewer, in the Hydro Generators.

The maintenance hub is missing welding gear. Otherwise, you don't notice anything of real significance.

The eye stares aggressively at them, that's what it does.

Is the Nautical Exhibit telescope missing its lens?

Let's take a closer look at those lenses. Where'd they come from? Telescope, maybe?
You look at the lenses. It appears they match the lens placed over the Eye in the wall.

Is the Nautical Exhibit telescope missing its lens?
The Nautical Exhibit telescope is not missing its lens, but is both dented and the lens is cracked.

Do the lenses have any particular shape or tint? What happens when I look through them?

Is the duct tape burned or singed at all?
They have an odd, ghostly tint to them. It gives you a weird vibe.

Looking through them blocks your vision. Seems like they cannot be penetrated by visible light.

The roll of duct tape appears to be undamaged.

Fellas, you know we're voting for the killers, right? It's not actually the 'sexiest stache' award, haha.

Ohhh, that's...that's a lotta votes. Oh you guys are serious about this.

Lash_Critical.png

Well, that's fine; the Lash doesn't like others taking credit for his work. Thaaaat being said..."a cowardly attempt", "whoever did this is going to super hell"...ohhhh-hoho, you want me to play the heel, don'tcha? Bring it on, I'm used to being hated.

I know you all loved Frosty. Truth be told, I respected him too - that was a dude who got shit done. But legends don't get to choose how they die. Sometimes they go out in a blaze of glory, sometimes they choke to death on their own vomit in a strip club bathroom. And sometimes, they - wha-ping! - get bashed over the head with a telescope and thrown in front of the pain train. So spare me your sermons about this being a scumbag kill, like there's so much honor in blowing a guy up with an improvised bomb. You know what we call guys who fight with honor in the Bear Pit? Losers.

Lash_Gloat.png

But hey, it's not all bad. You bookworms are pretty good at this whole investigating thing - good enough to survive without the Lash's guidance. I know, I know, hold your tears. I left y'all a li'l present in the fountain; couldn't get the damn thing to work myself. I think it changes shape based on its owner or something, but it didn't actually function like a grappling hook, so it might just be cosmetic. Maybe one of you nerds can figure it out.

Oh, and Tan-Man...do your worst. I'm ready for it. But you? You gonna grow some balls or just keep letting people use you forever?

Good bye, Lash. Despite the murder, I don't hold it against you, considering we're all puppets in King Blocky Boo's game right now. And Victor. I apologize for voting for you.
