Yeah, I agree she's the least favorite out of all Koopalings for me. Must have something to do with her design being unesthetically presentable.

I do agree, I think all the other koopalings are great, besides her.
 
I honestly think a lot of the criticisms that people talk about with Super Mario 64 come down to it being an old game and them having a skill issue. For example, the camera. It sucks, but this was one of the first cameras in any 3D game.
 
But...but..I like Wendy Of Koopa. She's one of my most used characters in Mario Kart Tour and both versions of 8, probably in the Top 5 for me. Also miss her a lot in World.

Mario 64 camera is pretty bad in some parts of the game but I can work around it, and the game overall is still fun to play today.
 
Super Mario 64 doesn't have playable Wario though.

tbh it sucks to handle today, is the point. it didn't age well.
 
I'd take 64's camera over Galaxy's any day. I can never tell when Galaxy will let me rotate the camera how I want it or not. It even disallows me from going into first person at times. Galaxy 1/2 is more linear and 3D Land / World follow suit, but I still wish they could allow you to rotate the view all the way around.

Sunshine's camera feels like an obvious evolution to 64's, so 64's can be seen as preliminary in that aspect. However, the previously mentioned linear games do not follow in the footsteps of Sunshine. In 64 and Sunshine, players were still having trouble navigating the camera, or didn't even know they could. This resulted in the next games being more linear and having a more restrictive camera. So I guess my final conclusion is that 64's camera is preliminary, but later becomes a design choice for the linear games.

I blame the SMB3 and Mario World cartoons for the massive hate that Wendy gets because of how insufferable they made her on those shows. Does she even act like this in the actual games?

Reading her quotes from the RPG games, she just seems really rude, but I doubt she's anything like Kootie Pie in Reptiles in the Rose Garden or the rest of the show...I don't think Wendy throws tantrums on the floor and wanting to take over Venice for her own amusement park, or America.

I mean, I guess even if the shows didn't exist Wendy would still be unpopular because of her unappealing appearance and frustrating boss fight in SMB3, but people would probably be more indifferent to her than outright hating her. Her portrayal on the shows did the most damage to her reputation ._.
 
Now that we know that Stuart Stone voiced Lemmy/Hip and Tara Strong voiced Iggy/Hop instead of both of them in the DiC Entertainment cartoons as initially believed, I'm honestly curious what made the writers of the show decide to make Lemmy and Iggy six-year old kids and only have Lemmy be voiced by an actual kid.
