Yeah, I agree she's the least favorite out of all Koopalings for me. Must have something to do with her design being unesthetically presentable.

I do agree, I think all the other koopalings are great, besides her.
 
I honestly think a lot of the criticisms that people talk about with Super Mario 64 come down to it being an old game and them having a skill issue. For example, the camera. It sucks, but this was one of the first cameras in any 3D game.
 
But...but..I like Wendy Of Koopa. She's one of my most used characters in Mario Kart Tour and both versions of 8, probably in the Top 5 for me. Also miss her a lot in World.

Mario 64 camera is pretty bad in some parts of the game but I can work around it, and the game overall is still fun to play today.
 
Super Mario 64 doesn't have playable Wario though.

tbh it sucks to handle today, is the point. it didn't age well.
 
I'd take 64's camera over Galaxy's any day. I can never tell when Galaxy will let me rotate the camera how I want it or not. It even disallows me of going into first person at times. Galaxy 1/2 is more linear and 3D Land / World follow suit, but I still wish they could allow you to rotate the view all the way around.

Sunshine's camera feels like an obvious evolution to 64's, so 64's can be seen as preliminary in that aspect. However, the previously mentioned linear games do not follow in the footsteps of Sunshine. In 64 and Sunshine, players were still having trouble navigating the camera, or didn't even know they could. This resulted in the next games being more linear and having a more restrictive camera. So I guess my final conclusion is that 64's camera is preliminary, but later becomes a design choice for the linear games.
