Today is one of my most favorite days. It's the 80th anniversary of when the Allies finally freed Europe from the Nazis' tyranny and ended the part of the war taking place there.

@Xiahou Ba Even to most of the people who live in the former Axis countries what their former governments did during WWII was morally wrong as well. Many Germans and Japanese and Italians are ashamed of that part of their history and don't want to repeat it, which is a good thing, because it was terrible.

That's why it's very crucial to separate people from government, and it's still very relevant in today's world.

The less government involvement in people's lives and the more freedom they have, the better, although you probably were talking about not associating the people of a country with their government if their government is bad and stereotype them all as being that way or agreeing with that government, which is also important not to do.
I hope in Kirby and the Forgotten Land the cutesy mouse character ends up being a good guy like they claimed to be just because that would be more interesting than them being a twist villain at this point in the series
NSMB DS's pngs and low poly models and crunchy sound effects have weaseled their way into my heart. Finally played it for the first time, wow was it much more experimental than the 3DS sequel, probably because the public had more lofty expectations for it, given its place in the franchise, makes sense. All the wacky new enemies and level elements, it's got a strong original vision a lot of its siblings lack.

This game was rushed, have you seen those videos about its spaghetti code? I first suspected it when I pressed the jump button, the physics definitely felt off at first, adjusted fast enough though, jank gives it flavor. I said the sound effects were crunchy before but the whole game is... the thing's texture... it's yummy. Those retro fugging sound sfx, the fugging sound mixing, the mixed media graphics... adorbs. This is an insect game, beep boop bug.

New Super Mario Bros. DS was the game that actually got me into Mario platformers even though I played Mario games all the way back in the SNES/64 era so it holds quite a special place in my heart. Plus Mario vs Luigi mode was terrific, sister and I would mess around in there for hours not collecting the Stars.
Finished Sonic CD last night! Got the good ending too, but man I can't imagine having to beat the special stages in one try in the original lol, those were irritating as ever

I would be offended but given how awful the UK is treating trans folks right now, I can't disagree that my country sucks atm. Good to know that Ncuti Gatwa is an ally though.

I'd still say the same even if the UK wasn't TERF Island. I know the UK's history.
In general, the KC manga is very, very mean towards Wendy, with characters throwing up whenever she tries to be cute (which is often).
Fanart at the end of the Yoshi's Egg issue threw her a bone at least. She's adorable in Peach's dress. Guess funny shipping's been around for quite a while!

Also, it referenced the localizations more often than just the "American Koopa" thing from the SMW arc.

Woah, all the 'shrooms on the forum list went gray (all but two, at least).

After some experimenting I have come up with a conclusion! It seems the Mushrooms turn gray when we check out all of the new posts in a board. They gain color whenever a post that hasn't been seen gets added!

Ah, thanks.
I prefer using the term "common" over the term "normal".

There is certainly traits we come across constantly but I feel normal implies absolutes in traits and traits are rarely absolute.
I feel like this absolute thinking that comes with the term is why anyone who differs from what is common tends to be bullied
I've driven 350 miles or roughly 5 hours from LA to Santa Clara, was an easy drive lol.

I thought it would be more tiring than that but an average day at work is much much much more tiring.

@Xiahou Ba Personally I always hated long drives as a kid, even going on vacation, if they took four to six hours or more; they were pretty boring and I got pretty tired; I imagine that as an adult having to actually do the driving for that long would be even more exhausting. God, now thinking about that I feel bad for my Dad because he usually did the driving.
