Well today and tomorrow is where Victory Day is celebrated in a lot of Soviet-bloc countries, practically their version of 4th of July and Bastille Day. Fuck Nazis btw, it's perfectly okay to punch one and bar them from any public venues.

The only good thing that came from them is their pop culture permeation on so much fictional works, from Star Wars to Guardian of the Gahooles to Inglourious Basterds. Probably one of the only times in history where they and the rest of the Axis powers are the clear villains.
