Goodbye Mario Wiki and Mario Boards, I will miss you greatly although I wasn't that active here and I was more or less childish and annoying to everyone.

I actually didn't mind you, itsameweegee. If you're leaving because you think you annoyed people, you don't have to; I personally and I don't think many people here found you annoying or childish. In addition, if you think they did, you don't have to leave, you could just work on improving said qualities and mature if you think you need to.

Ok I just read everything that's going on with you. If you feel you need to take a temporary or permanent break from the MarioBoards to deal with your personal life, that is fine. I wish you the best of luck, and so sorry about all the stuff you are going through.

It's okay, none of us are mad at you, I can tell you suffer from heavy anxiety and I hope you can overcome it one day
If I ever get good enough with piano, one day, I want to play the SMW athletic theme, then swap to the PAL version after one loop. I've been thinking of this troll for a while, but I gotta get good and find sheet music
I was curious as to whether the flag on your profile is an LGBT flag, a real country flag, or a fictional flag.
Did his parents name Cranky Kong or did he name himself after he stopped being Donkey Kong? If it's latter, at least he's self aware

I like to imagine it's just a nickname everyone uses for him to distinguish him from the current DK.

Does Kong relate to the name of the whole species or just a family?

How does Donkey Kong feel about villainous Kongs like Karate Kong and Manky Kong, if they're somewhat related?

I agree with Waluigi Time on this one. I recall the Wiki listing his full name as Donkey Kong Sr., with Cranky being a nickname. His son would be Donkey Kong Jr., and seeing as the current Donkey Kong is the original one's grandson, that would make him Donkey Kong III (Or Donkey Kong the Third if you prefer to leave out Roman numerals).
You know as a Crash Bandicoot and Spyro fan it makes me very angry to learn that Activision made Toys For Bob cancel what would have been a great Spyro and Crash crossover game in favor of yet ANOTHER stupid live-service game that is likely going to be stuffed to the brim with annoying and completely unnecessary and pointless microtransactions. Seriously, enough of this microtransaction bullshit. I can't see any reason for them to even be a thing other than for reasons of companies just being greedy for additional money when they already get plenty of money from game purchases alone.
i just wanted to post about a milestone in my life this weekend.

i got the chance to meet nico yazawa's voice actress: sora tokui (soramaru). i still can't believe it happened; it was such a surreal experience. i spoke japanese to her and told her thank you for voicing so many characters i know but especially nico who has had a great influence in my life.

shes such a wonderful person and really cares about her fans and was genuinely happy to see people bringing merch from all over her career (for me i brought a nero nendoroid which was her first role and the wall scroll which she did a figure collab with and were pretty unique items that she signed judging by her expression). my heart filled with warmth and happiness seeing and interacting with the voice actress for my favourite character of all time and she felt the same with her many fans.

thank you soramaru and the community here for supporting me in whatever dumb nicoposting i get into. this weekend is something i will remember for the rest of my life and i will cherish it forever. thank you nico as always for being my #1 idol

Happy Easter! Have you ever put a Boo in Super Mario 3D World into Car Alarm mode? Shine a light on one at the perfect angle, and bam, car alarm mode
Should I play Stardew Valley?

The game is a lovely experience! I do recommend it, especially if you're looking a way to relax and just pick up plants and pet chickens.

I wonder if this thing is some type of power up in the Mario Universe. What do you think it would do? It's the one cup logo in Mario Kart 8 that isn't an established power-up or usable item not counting the crossover symbols.

About how long does it take for you to be strong enough to beat the Ender Dragon in Minecraft? Like, I'm working myself up to making more and more advanced items, but it's slow going. How do I know if I'm even doing it right? Is it supposed to take a while? If so maybe I should just relax a bit and not put pressure on myself. Also where does the Ender Dragon live, just so I can go kill it when the time comes?

The Ender Dragon is in the End. To go there you'll need to find a portal inside an underground Stronghold and fix it with Eyes of Ender (blaze rod dust + enderpearl). You can try to locate a Stronghold by using Eyes of Ender and following the direction they fly in (and dig).

As for the fight itself, it depends on how comfortable you are with the controls and game jank. You should definitely have a bow and enough arrows because you'll need to hit some remote targets in the air. Diamond armor would be helpful too, and some healing options are a good idea as well. Optionally you could bring some empty bottles if you want to collect dragon breath clouds that'll be left on the ground during the fight.

Beyond that the dragon isn't really a big deal. You definitely have to go way out of your way to enter this fight, so if you don't want to do it, you can just keep playing the game normally. This isn't something you can stumble into accidentally.

Hi Sonic, I wanted to chime in as a Minecraft fan but Lin Beifong beat me to it! Their answer is really helpful and comprehensive. I'm going to add onto their answer and do so in a spoiler tag, both because this is a bit lengthy (apologies for that) and also it contains a few details about the end dimension that might be considered low-key spoilery and I wasn't sure how strongly you feel you want it to be a surprise what happens when you go to the end.

In my opinion beating the Ender Dragon is definitely worth doing at some point, because it feels rewarding to "beat the game" and roll the credits, and it opens up a lot of very useful options in the game, however as Lin Beifong says it's optional and you can choose to enter it any time you feel ready, so by all means relax and don't feel pressured to do it asap.

If you want you can practise the fight by making a new world in Creative Mode with Cheats enabled, you can find end portal frame and eyes of ender in the creative mode inventory and build a portal but don't enter it (it's kind of hard for me to explain this with words but if you want i can send you a video guide), then use the creative inventory to give yourself all the items you want, run the command "/gamemode survival" to change to survival mode, then go in and practise fighting the dragon. Alternatively, I can film a video tutorial of the dragon fight for you and send it to you, if you wish.

If you want to be on the safe side then consult this checklist I made for beating the ender dragon: https://docs.google.com/document/d/10unJFb2Q3nojB9O6iiKsTUECP5bT-IaDR_QWLVVu3hk/edit?usp=sharing

Obviously it's kind of a balance, because stronger gear makes you more likely to win, but also takes more time and effort to get in the first place and is a bigger loss if you die in the fight - you really don't want to fall into the void during the ender dragon fight, because then all your stuff is 100% gone, whereas if you die by any other way then you can re-enter the End dimension and try to get your stuff back, as long as you can reach it within 5 minutes of re-entering the End. So I also recommend setting your spawn near the portal with a bed and having a backup chest with more armour, weapons, blocks, food, and ender pearls. Note that once you enter the End dimension there are only two ways to leave: death or winning against the Ender Dragon.

I'd say it varies very much but overall I feel like it takes me about 20-24 hours in a world in a normal/casual playthrough before I feel confident to beat the dragon. But it's definitely more about what stuff you have then how long you've been playing.

Very best of luck Sonic, do keep us updated and let us know if you have any further questions.
I got your Peak Media right here!
