RIP to Director and Actor Rob Reiner, who directed The Princess Bride, which was a great and extremely quotable movie among other things.

Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized, but instead of getting the scary and evil personalization algorithm like in those iceberg videos, I got the fun and chill one.

Did you know? The first game in the world famous Doki Doki Panic series was originally a reskin of an obscure Japanese-only game called "Super Mario Bros. 2".

Only a small amount of fan theories actually are about using evidence or even analysis of narrative themes to create plausible interpretations and expansions of the lore, most are simply alternate-universe micro fan-fictions framed as "what if THIS was what was actually happening?"

I think it's perfectly fine if some people find the latter interesting, but it would be nice if there was a better way to distinguish between the two.

And most of the latter also relies on unfalsifiable evidence, which explains why pretty much everything has a "fan theory" that everyone is dead and in purgatory, since you can't prove that's not the case... but such theories don't usually make the story more interesting to think about. A lot of it could come from young people who are beginning to grapple with concepts such as death, so they use such fan theories as a way to relate with the issue through their favorite media. I would be a little sympathetic to it in that case, even if I don't think the theory itself is worthwhile.

I feel like ranking and tier-list videos on youtube have gotten increasingly specific and niche over time. Sometimes I see a video titled something like "Ranking the earlobes of all characters in the Geeble franchise Part 1 (2:22:13)".

What if there was a website somewhere on the internet called the Super Wario Boards where a bunch of weirdo doppelgangers of all of us congregated.

I found a list of directors/executive officers at Nintendo's website, but couldn't find anything detailing the difference between the two positions. To the best of my understanding it seems that Doug Bowser is both President and CEO of NoA, but after he steps down the two roles will be split between two different people, please correct me if I am mistaken.

If you were to generate a random whole number between 1 and infinity. That number certainly would be unfathomably large, because for every number you can think of, there are infinitely more larger numbers. The chance of any number being selected would be 1/infinity which is a limit at 0. So I'm not even sure if it would be possible to generate a random number between 1 and infinity. Maybe someone who knows more math than me would know if it could work.

The original Tomodachi Life was an interesting game. It was like an interactive screensaver or virtual pet game where you check in on the Miis every once in a while, instead of a game where you directly control a character. It was a strangely chill experience.
