What else will we get from Nintendo Switch 2?

Well we've got a couple of new games on NS2 so far. I assume Bananza counts as a new format of DKC 3D game, we also have several Mario titles that are direct sequels to the ones we have.

So what else do you believe we will have? Do you think it's possible for us to get some brand new titles like Super Princess Peach for NS1?

*Post pics only serve as showcase, not necessarily fixed options.

*"Mainline" includes games that come with action gameplay and focus on a unique journey except from RPGs, which also count games like Super Princess Peach and Donkey Kong Country.

*"Spinoffs" includes games that come with party/sport concept and must have an all-stars roster.

I mean new subjects for spin-offs just sounds great in general. It's a fantastic way to get Mario fans to try out new games in genres they wouldn't try out otherwise, plus it acts as sort of a springboard to explore it. I really loved what Mario + Rabbids did, made XCOM lite palatable for Mario players, so I'd expect the same thing for new spin-offs. The showcased spinoff, the Mario skateboarding game, is a game I would really be excited for if they announced it.

If the Nintendo Switch 2's active period is about as long as the Nintendo Switch, we might get the bigger heavy hitters eventually, at least. Which by my estimation would be:
  • Mario Kart (released)
  • Donkey Kong (released)
  • Mario Tennis (announced with date)
  • Yoshi (announced with window)
  • NS2 exclusive 3D Super Mario platformer game
  • NS2 exclusive 2D Super Mario platformer game
  • NS2 exclusive Mario Party game
  • Mario Golf
  • Luigi's Mansion
  • WarioWare (the higher price point for NS2 games would be interesting to see how this fares)
I am unsure if Dr. Mario will even get a release at this point, especially as a Switch 2 exclusive. It's still not gotten a new game on the Nintendo Switch, and I hope it's a new game and not merely a "Dr. Mario 99" that seems like the most predictable suggestion, because it would mean a dead end for the series since such a game would inevitably be about the 8-bit games, as though the series has no future (unlike even Mario Golf, which still has less sales than Dr. Mario, thanks to a great headstart).

Some wild predictions that I'll make:
  • New game featuring a character who's never gotten a game before.
  • Another Mario crossover with an unexpected IP, similar to what Mario + Rabbids is.
  • Mario & Sonic getting a new game, could be another Olympics game or just a new direction
  • New Mario sport that didn't get a new game dedicated to it. Could this be the horse racing's time to shine?
  • New Mario platformer in the vein of the Donkey Kong arcade (I want this the most: I would love to see how Mario's platforming heritage could evolve from this, since Super Mario platformers have a rich history on how the platforming evolves)
Thank you for reading.

I've always thought Mario and Kirby could take place in the same universe and I would love to see the franchises cross paths outside of Super Smash Bros.

Not holding my breath for it but a Mario Warriors, a musou hack-n-slash game with Mario characters basically, would have me consider getting the thing second-hand.

I also think while Jamboree + The Long Game Name is out, the Switch 2 is *probably* going to get a Mario Party, as most consoles have at least two Mario Party (we don't speak about the Wii U here).

I'm hoping for a Mario Maker of some kind (please bring 3 that's quite advanced), but I'm also hoping a style of Mario Party game similar to Superstars that goes even further beyond what has been done already. Perhaps 10 boards from across the original 8, over 50/60 items, and 150/200+ minigames. Personally, I hope for one board from each game, as well as roughly 20-30 minigames per game.
