I had A LOT of raw footage from recording things for Youtube. So I saved the raw footage I felt I might need for later and just deleted the rest.

I never knew raw footage took up so much space.

Video footage eats up a ton of space on your computer. Like, for example, if I did an 8 minute playthrough of a game, it eats up like 1 GB; entire L4D2 campaigns can 45 minutes so their videos in total eat up 5 GB. If I compile them altogether and export them again as an .mp4 via WMV, I get only 1 GB eaten up. Some quality and bookmarking is lost but it's all in the name of saving up space.

Yeah so I've realized. I sometimes I do 3+ hours of straight recording and that's a LOT of GB just by itself.
