Hello, all of you readers of The 'Shroom! It's the third Saturday of the month, and you know what that means! We have a new issue for you, six teams, the Spotlight, and some staff notes, all right here in issue 174!

If you're wondering what happened to the 'Shroomfest this month, well, as we covered in a previous announcement, we've opted not to hold it this month so that we can better focus on creating and fine-tuning some events and special features in issue 175 and issue 177 as we march to the end of the year.

Don't worry, though, we still have plenty of great content for you this month! Don't miss Shmaluigi, Private Investigator, in Palette Swap or The Odyssey of a Squid in Fake News, or you might just miss some honkin' good cameos. winstein continues to deliver in-depth looks at comic strips in Palette Swap and Dr. Mario World in Strategy Wing, and over in Critic Corner, Anton marks a milestone sixty issues of Anton's Half-Baked Reviews as he takes a second look at kombucha! In Pipe Plaza, Shoey covers the highs and lows of Behemoth's run - and there are stellar highs and horrible crashing lows to read about there, and, of course, MarioMorty, BBQ Turtle, and others have games for you in Fun Stuff.

The point is, there's plenty of content for you packed into this issue, and that list above is only a small sampling of it! There's much to read in this issue, and even more for you to look forward to next month as we mark a milestone of 175 issues. We'll have the Poll Committee's Awards Analysis, and we'll have a fun little event that you can sign-up to be featured in right now, so, please, don't miss your chance to sign-up and appear in a brand-new 'Shroom activity next month!

The 'Shroom looks a little different.

The 'Shroom looks a little different.

Yep! We're modifying the look a little. It's mostly changing the underlying coding for some portions of the paper, cleaning it up and making it easier to use, but we also took the chance to make the TOC boxes for the teams more consistent.

Sub-Director Notes said:
For this issue, you might have noticed an updated look to certain tables. Resident codemaster and actual hero Lakituthequick (talk) has taken it upon himself to update certain codes and give everything a sleek redesign! Everybody make sure to say "Thank you LTQ!"

If you have any feedback, do let us know! We'll continue to tweak things as is necessary to make the paper look sleek and aesthetically-pleasing.

Quick question, when will Forum Update return?

Quick question, when will Forum Update return?

I intend to write more editions of it in the future, but I haven't had a chance lately. Hopefully next month, there will be another!

(But anyone interested in writing Forum Update is welcome to apply to do so, as well!)
