Probably a leftover from development if I had to guess. Or maybe they were considering a Sm4sh remake in the early stages of development and that's why it fits Ultimate's art style.

I see no reason at all they'd be porting the Smash 4 battlefield so it's almost certainly a placeholder.

i would love for an option to select past variants of the stages though, like a mementos or something if you will. i think it would be cool to play on a brawl final destination again and then you play on the smash 4 wii u final destination next match.

Have to agree, that would be really cool. At least we can still choose music from past FDs.

icicle mountain and rumble falls are amazing stages and the more people hate them the more i enjoy them.

I've never played Icicle Mountain, but I enjoyed playing on Rumble Falls and I feel it gets more hate then it deserves.
