I'm not so sure that's Ridley. It looks like it's just a zoom on the blue lightning effect that's made purple by the red of Dedede's hammer.

I don't know. The fact that the purple matches Ridley, and Sakurai's comments about a familiar enemy appearing, and the hole in the wall, points in the direction of Ridley appearing and being s stage hazard.

It seems to be jumping to conclusions. Red + Blue makes purple. The blue is the color of the lightning effect after a powerful attack. The red is from Dedede's rocket hammers. It's the reason why it looks purple.
Plus if that's Ridley. Is it a claw? It seems too skinny and long to be that just looking at both designs (The usual design + Other M) of Ridley's. Too skinny to be the tail. And if it's a wing, it's still too skinny.

Even if that was supposedly a tail, I still don't see how he can fit into the blast so perfectly (nothing sticking out from the top, I mean). Besides, his tail looks like an arrowhead. What I see here is a straight line.

Maybe it's Ridley, maybe it's not. It doesn't look like part of the blast to me, but I wouldn't jump onto the boat that "Ridley right there, deconfirmed player."
But I'm very confident that he is the stage hazard that Sakurai mentioned and that he will not be a playable character.
