Again, I really don't see all the hate towards some generic characters. I wouldn't mind having a Hammer Bro. or a Magikoopa or even a Goomba be playable.

In a fair view, excluding other methods like introducing recurring species individuals (eg, Kamek than a magikoopa), it's not that generic players are annoying, but usually we expect to see main characters who have more supports to be in first. At least some secondary characters haven't made it into Kart games so far.

So in your words, maybe "6 out of 34" is okay but we don't know if Nintendo really have rules to follow. In the Kart 7 newcomer example, there should had been no more than one new generic/minor character so that it could meet fans' needs.

I think Nintendo will include a Goomba as a racer just for the lulz (and because they are out of ammo useable characters).

UH, even that you don't notice any recent Mario game, you can simply check Mariowiki to know how many characters are there. If Nintendo really give a playable generic goomba, it could be their bad habit.

Well, considering the next Mario Circuit has antigravity(actually, too lazy to read the other parts of this thread to tell if it's myth or not), I'm sure they're having it in Rainbow Road.

Mario Circuit is the one shaped like a Mobius Strip, so it's not a myth.

Well, in Venezuela we get the games two or three days later after the release date, but we get it at, like, five times its original price because of our awful economy and our stupid and useless president. I think it's worse to get the game at 200-250 dollars than getting it a couple months later.
