Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

Obviously this guy has run his course on Nickelodeon. Why not let someone else create a TV show? And a good one at that?

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

I know right? I mean, I do admit Drake and Josh was good (even Zoey 101 was), but I can't stand iCarly and Victorious. Good thing they're both getting canceled.

However, the best thing Dan Schneider has been involved in is Good Burger, hands down.

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

Personally I don't mind either of them. They're not very good but I can stand to watch them. However most other stuff on Nick these days is...bleh.

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

I think that as long as they are still showing the good stuff, and are willing to bring out new and better stuff, that's fine. But I can't stand it when they suddenly decide to cancel one of their shows due to a terrible episode or two, and then bring on a terrible spinoff, just like what Disney did with That's So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Those were two of their best shows, and they boycotted them in favour for terrible spin offs Corey in the House and The Suite Life on Deck, respectively.

I'm pretty sure that's what Nickelodeon has done with Drake and Josh, and iCarly, pretty much the same characters with different names, to be honest, even if it isn't directly related. And this is gonna keep happening.

You know, I'd like for one of their shows to be set somewhere other than America. Setting a show in your own country doesn't really help teach kids what it's like outside of their country.

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

I just wish they'd make a show where the main character doesn't sing.

It's like Disney but worse.

I mean, I'm starting to watch Disney more now because of how shitty Nick's gotten, and the shows aren't as bad as Nickelodeon, but also aren't the best shows in the world. Too many live action shows tho, needz moar cartoons

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

There are only two good shows on Disney

I know Phineas and Ferb is good, haven't watched Gravity Falls yet, but from what I've heard it's pretty good, from the images I've seen, it looks weird, considering He who shall not be named (that's code for Slenderman) made an appearance in the background. Not sure if shopped, or awesome directors.

That's about it, really. The other shows are about American Teenagers, who aren't teenagers in real life (seriously, they get like 24 year olds to play 13 year olds), singing and getting boys and ruining their friendship with their best friend who happens to be either their co-singer or a boy who will have sexual tension with, until season five where they will finally go on a date and confess their love for each other in an insanely long episode, and finally get together for the season finale, unless they bring in a special guest star to play that part, and then making up somehow, and singing songs in completely unrealistic places, like street corners or on rooftops, places you wouldn't normally hear random music.

Seriously.

...On Deck featured several places all over the world besides North America.

Let me guess, you just watched one episode from one Disney Channel sitcom and assumed that they're all the same.

I can personally confirm that your statement is false.

Other than Phineas and Ferb, there's at least 3 other shows that are absolutely nothing like you described:

1. Kickin' It
2. Good Luck Charlie
3. Kick Buttowski

Not gonna go into too much detail about these shows, but they're pretty much better than anything you might find on Nick.

By the way, we're getting off-topic here. This is to talk about Nick, not to debate whether it's better or worse than Disney.

Robot and Monster is the best cartoon i've seen in a long time

I can tell you don't like me already because I have an opinion.

I have seen most of the shows on Disney, and though I can't say I've seen them all, I have seen most of them, and they are pretty much the same shows, with the same story lines. Each of them with several cliched lines one after the other. I'm not saying Nickelodeon is better here, I'm saying the quality of these two channels has greatly decreased because of these types of shows. The only reason I prefer Nick over Disney is because Nickelodeon still specialises in many different animated shows, which are probably the best things to watch when you're young.

And we're still talking about Nickelodeon, we're just comparing it to Disney over quality. In fact I'm pretty sure MCS, the guy who started this topic was one of the first people to start comparing these two channels.

All I said was "It's like Disney but worse" and then you started a god-long rant about it

This just in!
Robot sounds so familiar to me.
EDIT: He's Dan from Dan Vs.

By the way, Nick has some new shows coming out (like it always does)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Raving Rabbids
Grounded
Monsters vs. Aliens
Sanjay and Craig
Marvin, Marvin

Do any of those sound good to you guys?

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

I don't dislike you for merely having an opinon. I was simplly disagreeing with you.

So you say that most Disney Channel shows are like that, well, it'd be nice if you could at least provide some examples.

As for the Nick vs. Disney, yes cartoons are the best shows to watch when you're young, but when you consider how far shows like Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents have fallen, it may be better to focus on quality rather than quantity. If you were a parent, would you want your child to harass your neighbors like Spongebob or be a self-centered idiot who never learns from their mistakes like Timmy?

You have to ask? I was gonna make a topic about this, but I know it's gonna get 0 replies.
I'll just post a video instead. It's coming out September 29th.

Yeah, about that dislike thing, I don't really know why I said that, I guess I was just tired, since it was 2:00 am when I posted that. Apologies.

As for examples, I could give a few, such as Hannah Montana, Sonny with a chance, that new Shake it up show thingy, and some other shows I can't be bothered to mention.

God long rant? Are you joking? I've mentioned Disney in at most four of my posts.

No. In fact, I bet half of them are going to be cancelled in the next year.

Re: Your opinions on Nickelodeon

I gotta admit, as crappy as SpongeBob is getting, some of the production music from the show is spectacular, and you almost always never hear the entire piece. Listen to some of these if you don't believe me:

You'll probably recognize these off the bat, they were used quite often in the series, and they sound amazing.
