Super Mario Sunshine... who could forget the nostalgia??

That was the same thing I was thinking!

That kind of thing kind of applies to a lot of video games.

In DK64, Cranky, Funky, and Caandy charge you money for their merchandise despite the fact their home is in danger.

In the original Paper Mario, Bowser's won and everyone knows that Mario has to get back into the sky to defeat Bowser, yet they still charge him money.

In Bowser's Inside Story, the Toad selling you the Emoglobing's liquid charges you even though everyone's trapped in the body of Mario's arch-nemesis.

they have to make profits,

True, but can't Mario get charged AFTER he saves the day? Besides, if they need money that badly, they should just bash a few ? Blocks.

As for DK, K. Rool was literally going to destroy the entire island. That's not exactly the time to charge money to the guy who's trying to save your butt.

i suppose, but from the top of my head none of the piantas who gave you sprites really got anything reasonable done for them

They all wanted fruit.

They must be fruitarians.

I think these Piantas are crazy. What kind of crazy people would clog their pipes with fruits and grow fruits on roofs and fountains!?
