    sometimes you see people go 'why do people complain so much about shovelware on the wii but not other systems with a bunch of shovelware like the ps2 or the switch' and (ignoring how people often DO complain about all the crap on switch eshop), it's a lot easier to ignore shovelware when there are also tons of great third-party games on the system lmao.

    To me, signs of shovelware is indicative of a systems success. When the Wii U had no shovelware that's when I knew it was flopping.

    I do not think that person being able to speedrun TOTK says anything about the games quality. There are many playthroughs of the game on YouTube that are several hours long; one of them is even 22 hours long. When people are able to finish complex games in such a short time it has to do with having exceptional skill. However, yes I do agree Nintendo tends to overprice things.

    Speedrunning also takes hours upon hours of practice - sure the run itself can be very short but way more time went in to getting to that point

    My favorite relevant Gamer Bro thing is them not realizing that the historical notion was that programming was a woman's job...... until it was profitable and now it's a man's job and yet the Gamer men think that, after kicking women out, initiatives to recruit women to get into programming is sweet baby inc.     Personally as a man who completely respects women I hate just about ANY kind of sexism. Without women none of us would be here.
