@Bibi Blocksberg Yeah I think stop motion was used to make the early Thomas The Train Tank Engine stuff.

no it wasn't. the series was filmed in real-time on a set using model locomotives, stop-motion was only ever used (very rarely) in scenes where they absolutely had to depict humans and animals moving.
