  • I need help settling a debate with my ex.

If you were in a small parking lot with angled parking spaces and two parallel spaces were open (i.e. you could pull forward into one and then go through into the other), would you stop in the first space or pull through to the second space?

You're usually allowed to drive across into the second space, but I don't really see why it would make that much of a difference in most cases.

I do both. Depends on how close the spot is to where I'm going and if the roads are one way or allow traffic both ways. Walmart often has one-way lanes for traffic flow, and despite me wanting to pull through to the second space, doing so will make pulling out later a pain of a turn, so in that scenario, I opt for the original space.
Another successful SMS Randomizer run completed courtesy of CD Beef.

...we don't talk about the other like ten failed attempts before this.
I think the game of email tag I've been stuck in all day today with multiple professors is finally over, thank god.
Got fixated on a character from a game I've never played. Came out as a polymorph. Adopted said character's name.

    Welcome to my life.
After more than half a decade, I've finally figured out why I'm such a chronic name changer and the answer is just that I'm a polymorph otherkin. It really was that easy this whole time.
Either I have the world's most tolerant neighbors or my property management just doesn't care about the insane noise that comes from the neighbor kids.
I'm happy to report that my first attempt at the Super Mario Sunshine randomizer has been a success. I'm still in Corona Mountain but that's all I need to do to beat the game since I have spray and rocket nozzles.
I'm so glad the first half of 1992 gave us top 40 hits with titles like "Uhh Ahh" and "Nu Nu." I thought I was bad at titling my works but at least I've never titled anything like that.
The universe just doesn't want me to go to my advanced poetry writing class. I was there week 1 and week 2. Class got canceled on Tuesday of week 3 because of the weather. I skipped Thursday of week 3 because I got in a fight with my ex and my mental health was bad. And now tomorrow, Tuesday of week 4, is also canceled because my teacher is sick.
Happy February! I'm happy to announce that I'm going to be throwing my hat in the ring and running for PC Chair this year! My good friend, former PC Chair, and current stats manager @MightyMario will also be running with me as my vice, and I'll have more information about what we plan to do with the committee once the election starts; you're also welcome to ask me any questions you may have for me directly.
I'm about to go live for the first time in four and a half years over on my YouTube channel, you should come watch me play GD Randomizer.
Just woke up from a dream about Mario Golf: Super Rush where Master Lob (who had a different name but I forget what it was) claimed that he had gotten really bored of normal golf while doing the angry stomp from Miitopia and challenged me to use a lob wedge to hit raspberries (which were definitely strawberries and not raspberries but whatever) into "pool beds" in Bubblaine.
I don't know how hot of a take this is but as a writer, I hate outlines. I feel like spontaneity adds a lot of realism to stories and outlining stories makes them too rigid and kills said spontaneity.

There's a concept among story tellers that there are two kinds of writers: Pantsers and Planners. Broadly, it identifies that some writers like to plan little, act spontaneously, and write by the seat of their pants (i.e. Pantsers), and others look further ahead, work with structure, and plan the whole thing out in advance (i.e. Planners).

Whether you prefer one or the other (or most likely, some ratio between the two) depends on what kind of person you are, what you're comfortable with, and where your priorities lie as an artist. Both methods can be used well. Both can be used disastrously. But one is not inherently superior to the other.

The writing process is as unique as the individual writing it

So basically there's two kinds of writers: one who plans first and then writes, and one who writes first and then plans.
How do you describe the sound Shy Guys make? Is there an onomatopoeia for it?

Kind of a like a mix between a cat meowing and duck quacking.

"WEWUNG" -Mario Kart 8's Shy Guy selection voice transcribed by me.

I always thought it was like, "Why-whoa!" or something like that!

I would write it as "Wewoh"

Currently nearly crying laughing. At what, you may ask?

Recording videos is a lot more fun than I remember but hearing my own voice sucks just as much as I remember.

If only either combination of sound waves and vibrations that come from me weren't terrible.

I think most people you talk to irl don't see it that way lol, that's literally you to them.

I'm sure objectively my voice isn't that bad, but I have turbo self consciousness about my entire physical presence because I'm trans and not only have I not transitioned, but there's parts of me that I can't do anything about like my height or, in this case, how deep my voice is.
Only minor apologies to Cycles v2 S for my 0 enjoyment rating because having to hear my ex's really grating voice on the other side of the wall making the experience worse isn't the level's fault, but also the level itself is awful so I'm not that sorry.
The day MK8D gets mods that let me have some level of control over who the CPUs are or where they're placed is the day I finally see happiness.

That's not quite what I was looking for anyway. I'm looking for something that will let me either (A) choose which CPUs show up in each match individually, (B) limit the pool of possible CPUs to only the characters I like, or (C) make it so the characters I don't like will at least somewhat reliably perform poorly so they don't stay in the top three in versus races.
I do not want to go to my classical rhetoric class tonight but one of my best friends is doing the secondary source presentation and I refuse to miss her.
There's been some real Jasper R. Redboot bangers to come from my advanced poetry writing class, should I start a thread to share them?

    E: here it is.
Send your positive energy to the Geode devs so they can get an update out as soon as possible for 2.208, I want to play GD with all my mods on again.
