I typically think of it sounding like a cat's meows but in a different tone (as that's how I usually try to say it, but it's hard to distinctly explain). Don't really have a way to spell it out either... maybe like a low wah-wow

"Heiho" is usually how I transcribe it, which matches up with their Japanese name.
