Wait? Can I solve the bunny problem using two sets of keys, one in the normal world and one in the sub world?
I'd have to put either the planet section or the bunny section into the sub world but so long as the bunny chase works, I'm happy

Unfortunately I forgot to save yesterday so I had to start from stratch with Grand Star Rescue.

Thankfully I got most of it back, and I pretty much finished it. I even suceeded with Ceave's contraption, though I'm still trying to figure out a way to extend P-switch signals. There's a few other things that need tweaking, but the main issue is how I'm going to implement the bunny catching. Key coins exist but I use that for the star bits later on so that won't work. I tried to use just multiple keys but the door limit would make the rest of the level's design impossible. I tried springs but thanks to how weirdly they work in terms of dissappearing and respawning that didn't work either. I'm not giving up though!

New levels:


The first is the 3D Land remake I was talking about. It's quite hard as a lot of the jumps are tricky and you can't make many mistakes. If you're going for WR I suggest you use the P-wing and Invincible Tanooki Suit. I won't say exactly how I implemented those, but if you dig around you can find it...

The second is a remake of 3D Land's 1-4. I started remaking 1-3 before half-way through realising I was remixing the wrong level! This one is simple and just uses the skeleton train thing. Tip: you can cheese the second half with the tanooki suit after entering the mystery box area.

My next project is remixing Grand Star Rescue in NSMBU style. It's a lot harder since Galaxy is a lot more different from traditional 2D Mario than 3D Land and the door limit is becoming a bit of an obstacle. Might have to change those houses on the first planet to just have wooden blocks for doors. The theming is a lot more tricky - there is no space theme and SMM1 doesn't even have a night-time. I decided that Underground would be the closest match. Not sure how I'm going to do the part where you hit the panel's on the floor, but I'm considering Ceave's "YaTouchedAllTheCoinsDidYa".

Remake 3D world levels

So I made the final level remake from 3D Land, but it's admittedly too hard for me to beat the final boss! I'll keep grinding and once I'm done I'll post it here. It's not like RNG difficult if that was a concern.

I uploaded my first level in Mario Maker 1


It's just a weak remake of 1-1 (the normal one) from 3D Land. It wasn't carefully reconstructed just kind of done in a few minutes to as well as I could remember. I also left out the star coins etc. but I think I at least captured the gist of the level and the tanooki suit (thanks SMB3).

To update the TV situation, the TV repair people haven't found our power cable so I think we're going to try to find a replacement online. ☹

Can someone help me with 7-4 in SMB1? I get it's a level where you have to take the right path, but how do I know what that is? I've got as far as the part with the fire bar above lava but whatever I try and do it always sends me back.

My dad can't find the power supply for our repaired TV.

I still can't use my GameCube....

Remember Red Star from the 2000's Titans cartoon? Well, in the comics, he had the name Starfire first, but he had no realtion to the current Starfire, comics are confusing

So I got 3D Land and I have to say that it lived up to more than my expectations were given it was almost unanimously agreed to be the worst 3D Super Mario.

I definitely like it less than 3D World as its graphics are far inferior, you can only play as Mario
And its levels feel less interesting, but overall I like it a lot. 3D Land is the 3DS game for me rn.
