The official "Ask more about our OCs" topic

Well, the Boy and Girl Commanders are good at strategic war related stuff (of course, Flippy has a say in this), Scott Mulligan, Dale's younger brother has an onion allergy (although that's not necessarily something he's bad at), and Eli is good and bad at everything all at once.

I've got some more OCs!
Dr. Frankentoots - A hammy green skinned German mad scientist whose Russian wife looks like the Bride of Frankenstein (Mary), a son who's also mad scientist (Vincent) and the wife's daughter, a ghost named Shelley.
Rebecca Brookes: Rachel's mom. She's a redhead, just like Rachel, and wears a blue and white plaid button up with rolled up sleeves, capris, sandals, and has her hair tied to a braid. She works as a second grade teacher at Ponce de Noel Elementary.
Billy Anderson: A manchild teacher who works at Ponce de Noel. He has dark red hair, which is long and straight, and dresses like a teen, but he's 22 and has the intelligence of a six-year old.

Dr. Frankentoots - (real) I had a dream where there was a Syfy animated show called "Oh Mothers" which featured a then unnamed green skinned mad scientist, a also then unnamed Bride of Frankenstein like character, and a stick figure named Bob. I added a daughter and son to the mix after the dream. The Frankentoots were inspired by The Addams Family and The Simpsons, while Dr. Frankentoots' personality was inspired by Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. He also originally going to be named "Dr. Frankenstuff", but I changed it (possible to not get sued) Frankentoots' last name was also inspired from a dream I had where there was a restaurant called "Breakfentoots" in Germany.

Billy Anderson - (also real) Billy was inspired by a teacher who worked with me in kindergarten before I transferred to another school during kindergarten. She had long red hair and I thought it would be fun to make some genderbent AU, with a goatee and long hair. I turned him from a genderbent version of that teacher into the Billy we know today.

While I can't say for all, I can say Jimbo is inspired by The Mexican Rambo Saga, a mythological tale from his homeland. This is also where he gets his Code of Honor from. IRL, the Mexican Rambo is a series of stories I wrote in school. I only ever did one full installment, the others just never materialized, they were told via word of mouth and died there. One of the later installments that I actually wrote a simple synopsis on, The Tale of Petre Bedpan, featured a future Peter Pan who ended up under the identity of Petre Bedpan. In Car Wash, Petre Bedpan was the legendary hero P-BP was cloned from.

Well... uh... I haven't really thought about that. The Mulligan bros. are kind of like Robin Hood, so I guess that might fuel a tiny part of what they do, but beyond that, I got nothing.

What do your ocs excell at and what do they do very badly?

Dark Light: She's great at organizing things and is a very self-confident person, as the Commander of the Protectors. She's the most powerful Protector in the group. However, she likes to think things through a little bit too much at points, and sometimes, her position as a Commander makes her arrogant. She cannot swim at all.

Redshift: Similar to Dark Light he's great at organizing things. Unlike her, he is more forgiving and soft, and he constantly apologizes for the mistakes he has done. He excels at fishing but he easily gets cooped up if he stays indoors for too long. He's typically well-balanced, not having strong upsides or down sides.

Ray Trace: He's the jokester of the group, so he relies on his Ray Trace™ charm and humor to win people over. However, his ego is much bigger than he is, so he's certainly not as...any of the qualities he says he is. He's a terrible cook. Has a balance of speed and power in the group.

Bluminesence: He's the worst at fighting in the group, but he is by far the friendliest and most cheerful person. He thinks it's more powerful to stop conflicts to begin with than to win them. He's also the group's most durable member.

Ultra Violet: He's the best at healing in the group, but he's not a very friendly person and he doesn't trust strangers, making it tough to befriend him. When he is sociable, he finds it awkward to socialize; it's much easier for him to make sarcastic quips. He's excellent at singing and music, though he never sings when there are others around.

Kontrast: Rough and tough, he's muscular and strong, despite his little size. However, he's the least durable member of the group, making him go down easily. And he gets angry easily. That could either be a plus or a minus depending on the angle you look at it.

Do your ocs have a story that inspires them? Could be real, fictional or in universe

A post in my ask thread details the story behind them.

Can your OCs make a large musical number without any preparedness what so ever?
Jimbo: Yes, he's been trained in the musical arts.
P-BP: He can pretend to.
The Doctor: He wouldn't want to.
Charlie & Carly: They probably could, at least when working together, which they suck at.
Sklurt: It wouldn't be good.
Shutters: Depends on the genre.
Wayleth: Nope. He just can't.
Bruce: His mental capabilities could probably develop something decent.
Darth Kirby: With all the people he's assimilated, he's probably got that ability somewhere.
Jacques: Why, it's his secret talent!
Benjamin: He's a bit more of a listener than a performer. I think he'd probably be involved in one of Jacques' performances.
Master Interference: It'd be cringy, but he could maybe pull it off.
Alvin, Calvin, and Melvin: Alone, no, but together, they'd create some crazy stuff.
Little Lad: He could pretend to.

What's a totally random bit of information about your OC's that not many people would know?
Eliana knows sign language, and Elisha can speak in the Elven language.

Buford T. Justice: My wife was sucked into a vortex! *Everyone stares*
The Dragon Of The West: I may or may not have burned down the entirety of a town.
Phi: I'M RETIRED!
Elizabeth: So am I!
May: I have no secrets.
Charcoal: Well......I'm a plumber? Mario? A plumber? Nah! That's modern Mario! I'm the OG super Mario. I unfortunately kicked the bucket at Nintendo after World. That's why Mario is so small in SM64. Because he was a kid then really! Though my father Jumpman was a carpenter. He was only in the original DK games.

Name something then. Just off the top of your head,

Redshift has a horrible scar on his abdomen area, since he got dissected by a particularly nasty villain, a distant cousin of Waluwitchy. He doesn't like talking about it, and it's the main reason he doesn't wear anything that exposes his abdomen.

What is your character's favorite meme?

None of my characters are that much into meme culture in general. Dark Light, Ultra Violet, and Kontrast all think it's stupid trash, Redshift just doesn't care too much. Ray Trace would like Russian memes (he's the most memey guy), while Bluminescence likes positive ones.

Do your ocs have an easy time making friends?
Eliana makes friends with basically everyone she meets and Oscar has only makes friends with people who are A. Rich, or, B. Bad like him.

Do your ocs have an easy time making friends?
Dr. Frankentoots: Yass, I have kotten many friendz and es was ein eazy task!
Mary Frankentoots: Vell, I hrrave no idea.
Shelley: Yes!
Vincent: Yass!
Rebecca: Yes.
Rachel: Yeah.

Do your ocs have an easy time making friends?

Dark Light: Nope. She's an introvert and before her role as the Commander of the Protectors, she was soft-spoken and shy. She doesn't like talking all that much, since she has a male appearance, but a feminine voice. As Commander, though, that's something she overcame naturally. As such, she's incredibly bossy and doesn't socialize well.

Redshift: He has an easier time making friends, but he's still pretty introverted and may have trouble socializing. Still, he's very kind, respectful and polite, so people may take a liking to him.

Ray Trace: He's a natural party animal and would have a blast making new friends. Maybe some don't like his sense of humor all that well but Ray Trace would be oblivious to that anyway.

Bluminescence: He probably has the easiest time making friends, being a natural at it. He gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, always uses friendly language, and has a cheerful and positive deposition. It is hard NOT to make friends with him.

Ultra Violet: He has a huge distrust of people in general, so he's not approachable in the slightest. He has a tendency to make sarcastic remarks or say inappropriate things and he finds it awkward to socialize. Out of the Protectors, he's the least friendly one.

Kontrast: He's hot-headed, but he can be very diplomatic and friendly. Still, he can struggle talking about things to people, and his ability to socialize is zero when he's angry. And he gets angry often.

Well, Dylan Fletcher comes from a small town called… huh. I honestly forgot the name. Well, it's a small town. Think Mayberry. And Adam Castinel comes from…. Well, he doesn't remember either. So.

Tell me a little bit about your ocs' hometown
Noel Rock, where most of my OCs live, has a population of 75,000 and is somewhere in New England. The city as a whole loves seafood; there is also a lighthouse and some beaches.

What's a totally random bit of information about your OC's that not many people would know?
Wayleth: He has a tattoo.
Shutters: He was once an opera singer.
Sklurt: He was a stunt double for Robin Williams,
Carly: She doesn't trust redheads, for some reason.
Charlie: He doesn't trust greenheads, for some reason.
Jimbo: He once was an otaku. Not anymore, however.
P-BP: He was also a stunt double for Robin Williams. It was there he met Sklurt and began- er, maybe I'll explain that another time.
Jacques: He climbed the Eiffel Tower. Literally, by hand. He was fined a very large sum of money.
Benjamin: He once fell in the toilet and was stuck there for about two days.
The Doctor: He actually has a PhD. Though, I don't think it'd count nowadays.
Bruce: He really hates bass guitars and any song that dips into the treble clef. He also hates the bass clef, but he can't really make a big deal about that.
Linic Professor Levi: He recently got sued by PBG for stealing his joke.
Darth Kirby: He actually hated all of his friends. That's why he was so quick to kill them.
Darth Knight: He breathes methane gas.
Marth Knight: He once had a swordfight with Marth. No one knows who won.
Garth Knight: He once had a swordfight with Marth. Marth indisputably won.

Tell me a little bit about your ocs' hometown
While I can't speak for all, Jimbo grew up in a town in the country of Bitro-Sizia. He received his education there, as well. It's also where he eventually cloned Petre Bedpan to make P-BP. The town was like all Bitro-Sizian towns: poverty-ridden and subserviant to the government. Jacques was born in France and later moved to Spain. He learned a lot during his travels across Europe. It was after that Eiffel Tower climb that he was broke enough to join Interference. Benjamin grew up in a city in the US, and didn't really go anywhere or do anything. He mostly watched soap operas, anime, and other crappy forms of entertainment. He was too stupid to not be recruited by Interference. Linic was raised in a small village in Holodrum. Following the Seasons Incident, he kept on getting confused for his idol Link, which eventually became annoying. That village sucked, which is why he left and eventually decided to kill Link and the other Champion Sages. Garth Knight grew up in a community which had a high nerd population. His technical genius landed him a job as Darth Knight's technical expert.

Tell me a little bit about your ocs' hometown

I haven't really developed where they were exactly from that well (their backstories in general are pretty foggy), but here's what I got.

Dark Light came from Moonview City, Mushroom Kingdom.
Redshift is from Spain. I didn't have any particular city in mind when I wrote his origins, though I'm thinking of making him Andalusian.
Ray Trace is from Ulyanovsk, Russia.
Bluminescence speaks with a Parisian accent, so he's likely to be around that area.
Ultra Violet is from the Northeast in USA, pretty close to Canada.
Kontrast is from Germany. Like Redshift, I haven't established a specific region or city he's from.
