Third Party devs you want to see make a Mario game

We got Mario games from Sega, Square, Konami, Hudson and Namco, who should be next?
Obviously Capcom stands out but I wouldn't mind Falcom making a game, considering Popful Mail and Gruimin, they are better at a different type of platfirmer and that excites me

Maybe we could see Activision making a Mario game. I mean Bowser and DK were guest characters in a Skylanders game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually did it.

I would like to see how a reputable indie game studio handle a Mario game, since Brace Yourself Games did a great job integrating the Zelda series into a tile-based rhythm game. If the plan goes smoothly, the benefit would be mutual: Nintendo gets to provide a new twist with another Mario game, while that indie studio gets to rise to new heights. In that vein, I would like to see how Re-Logic (aka Terraria's developer) handle a Mario game, since its developers had their start with Mario before making a game that they could call their own.

In terms of a bigger developer, I am unsure on who else could handle a Mario game the first time. For example, I would like Square Enix to handle Mario but they already did, even though I would like to see, say, Fortune Street with Mario characters again. Gungho already did a Puzzle & Dragons game with Mario characters so that's out as well. I am not a fan of Capcom handling a Mario game only because their portfolio with Mario games are basically conversions of existing Mario games. It's pretty unfortunate that it's difficult to name medium companies since the games industry favours the larger companies while smaller/indie companies have a higher quantity.

crazy galaxy
Wayforward is one of the first things that comes to mind, except instead of Crazy Galaxy I would like to see how they handle Daisy in her own game since I believe that Daisy's personality and design meshes well with the type of characters that Wayforward tend to come up with. (EDIT: And more voice acting from Deanna Mustard is a huge plus)

Thank you for reading.

Sega. Because the irony amuses me.

Factor 5. It would be cool to see what they could do with it.

I'm not sure if this counts as 3rd party, 2nd party perhaps? but.. The Pokemon Company/Game Freak

((Or for Intelligent Systems to make a Paper Mario with 100 obtainable partners & 2P Vs mode)

Game Freak did do a couple of Mario-related games: Yoshi (or Mario & Yoshi) and Mario & Wario. So perhaps they could do a smaller scale Mario game in the same vein as the two games, probably focusing on a different Mario character this time.

I do like the idea of a Paper Mario with many partners to collect, probably like collecting cards that can summon them.

After the debacle surrounding Crash Team Racing, with what, Activision/Beenox establishing an environment for microtransactions (creating a highly grindy economy that gives out little money and most rewards are behind an online-only shop with inflated prices), adding microtransactions to a game well after the reviews have settled to try to "fix" the grind they promoted, I will prefer if Activision steered very clear from the Mario property. They can publish good games, but this relies on Activision not being Activision and that's going to be hard to do since the Mario brand is profitable and Activision can and will use that brand for exploitation.

But you know if they can announce some Mario game that's a loot-based RPG, I'll be for it. Doesn't have to be Activision, though, (it could be gearbox/whatever though Borderlands 3 was mired in controversy, Randy Pitchford and all) they did try to ruin Diablo III.

I imagine that post is facetious given the very rocky road of Fallout 76 lumped with incompetence, but if we do get some nice Elder Scrolls/Doom/Rage related Mario game, you know, if Bethesda remained a publisher and not a developer, I'll be extremely up for that.

Not sure what they will do with the Mario source material. I do want Mario guest starring in a Sonic All-Stars Racing game, which would be probably the only worthwhile Mario/Sonic mashup that exists, hasn't been done yet, and is feasible so far, but that's not a Mario game per se.

HAL Laboratory. They're quite talented with Kirby, and I'd like to see how they'd do with a Mario game. Best case scenario, Mario x Kirby crossover.
If they can somehow make my dream years ago of Mario riding on Air Ride machines in a big city come true, just end my life, it's complete. But having Mario be a partner with a permanent ability and can jump mulitple times, that sounds really good too. Anyhow, this has to be a crossover game with Kirby, but if HAL can make a unique Mario game that fits their style that'll be nice.

Studio Pixel, WayForward, Playtonic or Gears for Breakfast.
Not familiar with those companies, weirdly enough, except for Playtonic of Yooka-Laylee (though I don't really want Playtonic, they don't have my benefit of doubt after that fallout). Believe they're indie studios. Just going to make a general statement that, yeah, Nintendo really should be getting more indie studios on board. They were pretty successful with the Cadence of Hyrule, just imagine how many more games with Nintendo IPs they can trot out through indie developers.

Sure, we can have a sequel to Mario & Wario. I'll be up for making Wario the bad guy again, and Wanda (and her since-then acquired husband) can make her epic comeback.

I'd like Chunsoft, those behind the Mystery Dungeon games being like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Chocobo's Dungeon, develop a Mario-based mystery dungeon game. It'll be fun. It'll be a great break from Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi or at least introduce yet another RPG that people will like for the characters and story. Imagine the debate!

And I'll probably think about other developers too. Developers I don't want would be EA and Activision. Ubisoft did at least a good job with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
