If you think about it, the hunter Portait Ghost hoax about the Gamecube version of Luigi's Mansion 1 sounds like it could have been written by a former Sega employee, since Sega liked to be unnecessarily edgy with their games throughout the 2000s and 2010s while still aiming their games at elementary school gamers, so with whatever Nintendo Power editor was in charge of writing a story about Luigi's Mansion thought to themselves: "Why not do whatever Sega is doing and make up some bullshit story about a hunter ghost who wants Luigi's head to lure in and fool all the older, teenage gamers?"
"Would you do it for 100090000 Scooby Snacks?"

Hey DryBonesBandit, when I made my wish for cartoon characters and fictional characters I like to be in real life in the "Wishes Aren't Always Good Wishes" thread, when you said they were now bound to the laws of physics, did you also mean my favorite characters including my favorite cartoon characters would eventually grow old and die like everyone else, that they would be mortal? Because that would suck and bad wish outcomes was the theme of the thread LOL.

I meant that they were unable to do the wacky cartoon stuff cartoon characters do, sorry for the confusion lol

@DryBonesBandit LOL you should have had it be they could get old and die like everyone else, that would have been more of a bummer. I guess you could just add that to what you already posted if you want.

Hey man. Got those scenes of the Sonic gang at McDonald's done, with Dr. Robotnik also staring angrily at them through the window. By the way, reason that Bunnie Rabbot is wearing a wedding ring is because you'll remember later on in the comics she married Antoine, and that is when this is set. Wedding ring didn't actually come with JC Thornton's model of her; it was made by a user called Frosty Doctor. She also made a gold engagement ring with a diamond on it and a ring case with the engagement ring in it, which are both great for proposal scenes; really appreciate all three models. Anyway, enjoy.

Needed something to be sarcastic about today-for once LOL. You know, in my opinion, since the networks ABC and NBC (and their shows) all still have high numbers of viewers, I seriously think CBS is by far the WORST American national cable TV network; literally almost nobody watches it anymore. I heard CBS's least-watched (and probably I assume most hated) programs are its news programs; must be because they're BORING viewers to death.
So uh... I have the flu type B. Specifically the kind that makes you really dizzy when doing things. I won't be as active for the next few days thanks to it.
A little while back I was able to finish all two Robopon games, mediocre Pokemon clones, these games aren't underrated, they're rightfully ignored. Quick review.
Robopon-Prime.jpg

Robopon 1 on GBC is just... such a miserable tedious experience. Every battle feels like it takes a millennium, EVEN WITH FAST-FORWARD ON AN EMULATOR! The absurdly high encounter rate of the dungeons doesn't help matters... Imagine, if you will, Pokemon battles where you need to buy and equip items to give your critters moves and instead of having a single PP amount for each move a single monster has, all its moves share one. Now, I saw some potential in that but the whole deal is too obtuse and tedious for its own good. Also if your Robopon faints? You can't use it again until you Game Over.

Does the story save it? It's my favorite part of it by far but... hell no.

Now, what separates this game from Pokemon is its irreverence, it knows you don't care, it even hates itself too. Instead of going to gyms to prove your Pokemon trainer skills and becoming the best there ever was, you have to battle Robopon Elites from the bottom of the ranks until you reach the top. Does that sound familiar? The difference is you don't who the elites are and where they are, you have to find them and make them drag their bums to the singular arena in the game so you can duke them. There aren't any routes, you use a world map to move from town to town to find the peeps.

This changes the story structure a lot and generally for the worse, every beat feels super contrived, and the game literally doesn't give a damn, it's so hilariously flagrant and I can't help but respect that a bit lol. Like, you'll defeat the big boss and then he'll just go "Man, gee wilkers, you got me, Elite8. Welp, that's it. Sure hope you don't VISIT BLUEBERRY LANE AND THEN ENTER THE CAVE OF THE MUFFIN MAN AND MURDER THE MUFFIN MAN AND BECOME ELITE 7. ". The writers made up everything as they went along so it's a bit unpredictable, the twists and turns can be mildly amusing, it's like playing a cynical comedy kids' anime from the 2000s, it's not SUPER funny though, a lot of jokes get played out for too long. After your ten millionth tedious maze story segment the novelty wears off.

The worldbuilding doesn't make any sort of sense. There are robots hanging out in the depths of the ocean, caves, forests, for no reason at all. It doesn't care. Whatever. Capture and fight with'em. Marginally more humane than Pokemon? Meh... The characters are flat, which would BE fine if they were at all entertaining, they aren't.

The art is... just edited Pokemon sprites for the overworld elements, I was dumbfounded by it when I played the game for the first time. Like, wow, is this even legal? Lmao?? The battle art is pretty cute tho, most of the designs are mediocre, many of them are too humanoid, some like Sunny are adorbs.

Robopon 2 was a LARGE improvement but ended up being alright at most for me, still, I think it deserves a more thorough breakdown.

On that note I'd like to briefly shout out a more promising GBC Pokemon inspired title.

Telefang, it's like if GSC and Link's Awakening had a baby, it's so forward thinking for a game of its time and has had such a good and quick pace so far.
It's the best looking, sounding, and running GBC game I've ever played, it'll shock you. Check out this site for more info, now this is what I would call underrated.

Probably, because someone already made one about Robopon and it's purrty good. I think making a video about Telefang would be great, I haven't seen anyone talk about it before.
Besides the ones already confirmed, what GameCube games do you want to come to Switch 2 NSO?

Pretty much all the games that's been mentioned so far. Another one perfect for online multiplayer would be Starfox Assault.

i wonder if the people expecting a 3ds-like fumble with the switch 2 (tariff bullshit notwithstanding here) remember that the reason WHY the 3ds stumbled at first was because there was FUCK and ALL to play on it from both nintendo and third-parties.

the first 'must get' game from nintendo that was something that would appeal to more than just the serious nintendo fans was mario kart 7 in DECEMBER 2011 and the 3ds launched in february/march 2011

I feel that Nintendo wanted to ensure that the situation is better for them, when it's not just that Mario Kart would be available at launch, but another big game (with no new games in a very long time) Donkey Kong Bananza being ready in the following month.

So it's certain that it's not going to be like the 3DS where it was expensive without a lucrative game to play at or near launch.

Thank you for reading.

I think the reason I'm not as phased by the higher prices than others is because I'm a Lego fan, and have you seen those prices?! I'm just used to extremely high prices my favourite companies charge that cause lots of controversy.

@Stanley I actually kind of think highness or lowness of prices has often to do with quality. The more quality something is and the more workmanship goes into it, the higher it's priced. Because the more complex and beautiful something is or well-made something is, the more work and effort the people that made it had to put into it.
Considering streaming doing sprite making to maybe drum up interest in my indie action-platformer's development... and maybe help pay the bills.

Still a better plan than the Alex95 "commit fraud against supposed friends" financial plan, but I've been without a job for nearly two years. And that's being generous by counting an internship.
Well, another announcement for my profile-it's April and spring is finally here. Thank goodness. I hate the cold of winter. It's getting nice and warm too and I appreciate that. Finally I can start getting tan and look less pasty like I am now. Probably a lot more comfortable for my new puppy when I take her out too. Nice and sunshiny outside too and I really enjoy that as well. 🌷

@Xiahou Ba What's a farmer's tan? Is it different from a regular tan?
Give me all the games that were released on September. I'm trying to find which one is released on or close to my birthday
Hello everyone. I DO plan to make that scene where Rainbow Dash and Zipp Storm are flying together in GMod. However, first I will be checking Deviantart to see if anyone has made versions of the "Revamped G5 ponies" for Garry's Mod as posable ragdolls. If that cannot be found, I will make do and make the scene with the G4 FIM GMod pony I have of Rainbow Dash and the ragdoll of Zipp Storm from the Maretime Bay Adventure game. I'll also check GMod Workshop to see if any of the Revamped G5 ponies are on the Workshop. "Revamped" is part of the names, by the way.
