I know it's only about to reach June, but I figured I'd still make this thread. 2026 has had some interesting games this year, and I'm curious to know what your favorites Are!

I have two that come to mind:
  • Escape from Ever After: My personal game of the year. An absolutely fantastic Paper Mario-inspired RPG that absolutely nails everything and has a banger soundtrack. It's shorter than other RPGs, but there's still quite a lot to do! This game is so powerful it got me to make a 'Shroom section about the dragon from the game - Tinder (who's getting a plushie YAAAAAAAAY!!)
  • Kingdom Rush Alliance: Dragon Wars DLC: Not a brand new game, but rather an expansion. I decided to include it here because the only exciting game I played that released this year is EfEA. I thought it was great and while very challenging, I'm glad it was because it made me think and strategize like never before. They nerfed it, but it's still challenging.

It's going to be pretty hard to top Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream for me. The 12 year wait was totally worth it because I love this game. I get so much enjoyment just watching the Miis wander around that I like to leave the title screen on my TV as a screensaver.

For me it's definitely either LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight or 007 First Light

I haven't beaten either yet but I think I prefer 007 First Light
