How is Birdo's treat in modern mainline?

Well, we can all agree that Waluigi is the most miserable main cast based on his zero mainline participation. But despite Birdo slightly wins over Waluigi, I feel like her overall treat doesn't feel too promising as well.

I think it's kinda weird for Nintendo to regard her as Yoshi's counterpart in sport games ---- which isn't the same scenario for mainline where Yoshi is a much more dominant gaming star for having a regular role in most Super Mario titles, and also the main star of his feature games.

Physically, she seems to be able to pull out attacks, but not sure if she can be a rideable sidekick. Do you think she she has what it takes to compete like Yoshi? Or you don't think current main series needs her unless she gets her own game?

I think it would be interesting to have Birdo as an alternate character option to Yoshi in a new Yoshi's island game. Perhaps she could have a slightly different game play function by being able to shoot projectiles more easily than Yoshi can. The problem with Birdo being a ride-able character is that she has spines on her back where Yoshi has a saddle-like shell. Perhaps if the Yoshi's island game revolves around the babies she could use a baby carrier instead.

I think Birdo should be a playable character in the mainline Mario games alongside Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, Toadette, and Yoshi. I think her abilities would be shooting projectiles and maybe a special type of jump.

It could be also reasonable to assume neither of them like the mainline stuff because there are mainline stuff in real life that I don't like.

If they bring back birdo to main series games they should make her be an enemy again like she was in her debut appearance Super Mario Bros 2. In fact i think they should bring back the whole world of SMB2 for a new mainline game you know they brought back Pauline and stuff for SMO so it's not that crazy to think the next mainline 3d mario could have an SMB2 themed world with Shy Guys and Birdo and stuff it would be cool

I'd love her to be playable in a mainline Mario or Yoshi game like that, though I'm not holding my breath for it. I'd be pretty content with a friendly NPC role that goes beyond a cameo, anyway, mainline or not. I wouldn't like seeing her in an antagonistic role as much, mainly because I don't want to see her beat up on again like in Superstar Saga - she's been a neutral/friendly character for a long time now, so I feel like we're well past the era where it makes sense for her to take on a villainous role.

Just have a Wario's Woods sequel where she's a playable character so she and Toad can beat the crap out of Wario.
