I haven't played this game since 2018! I enjoyed returning to the game and decided to go for 999 Power Moons… I don't think I'll do that again heh. Very time-consuming and very tiring to look for a few Regional Coins/Power Moons you might've missed in a huge area. I know there's Talkatoo and Hint Toad, but I tried to restrain from using Talkatoo unless I have a few Moons left. There was one particularly frustrating Moon in the Metro Kingdom where you have to find a secret path in the Festival, but the name for it is "Celebrating in the streets!", which is very misleading. I spend hours and eventually decided to use Hint Toad, but then I had enough and looked on the wiki for help. If the name was "Secret path in the festival!" then that would've been a lot better. I also had to look up a Hint Art Power Moon located in the Lost Kingdom because I thought it was in the Sand Kingdom because of the sandy ground… also I didn't like having to buy 119 Moons just to reach to 999.
But still, I loved this game and am glad I finally 100% it. I didn't get all the outfits because that'd take way too long. Now I wonder what Donkey Kong Bananza will be like?
Both free Deltarune chapters (I even became a [bigshot])
I've also been doing a kind of MaxTourist% run in Odyssey, where I can't leave the kingdom until I have collected every* moon I can as well as all purple coins and outfits unlocked. My Odyssey is being filled with things after every kingdom, which makes the cutscenes funnier. I'm at around 300 after
wow...so it turns out that like...just because you liked a game during childhood, doesn't really mean it holds up.
i mean it's not like 'omg wtf this game is dogshit how did i like it' but more...oh...this game is like a 7/10 and it's a 2002 PS2 game and very much looks like it too
He's so fugging cute guys, I love him, he's such a smug dorky dork. The lives killed the fun, that's why I used save states. When lives were a non-factor, I was put into the same mental state I went into when I played Syobon Action, the trial and error is oddly satisfying. I love his moveset, gliding and bopping the enemies' heads and grabbing the little spheres is AHHH. The series' musical identity is so unique for its genre, though it seems like nothing special at first. You won't understand if you never played any of the games, but the scores accompanied with the gameplay provide a kind of chaotic comfort? ESPECIALLY 2 & 3D, it scratches this itch I never knew I had. Ever since I downloaded these on my 3Ds and I've found myself coming back to them constantly, something about the bobcat's everything has sunk its hooks in me.
I want to eventually collect all 273 medals but dear god, there's so much grinding D:
One of the worst parts is that beating the Towers of Dread/Despair do literally nothing for the grind. I eventually need to get to level 50 in every job and on top of that probably taking until the heat death of the universe, I can only rely on quests (of which I only get one real one per day, and I need to nerf my party on purpose so I can get some enemies I'm still missing) or grinding in two particular areas that get me at most, 27.5K EXP per go consistently when I need like, almost three million. IIRC I'm currently at level 48 as a mage but I still have ten other jobs to grind through for one (1) medal.
Let's just say this game is lucky it's my favorite game of all time.
I really want to 100% this one, but I heard it gets really difficult. I have gotten the strawberries in Chapter 1 A Sides and accidentally got the Crystal Heart just by messing around. I tried B Sides, but failed the first screen, so I'll come back after the credits roll. Starting Chapter 2 soon.
Chapter 2 was a fun one. I accidentally found the tape really quickly and nearly every strawberry on my first go. I eventually found the crystal heart, and I love that they used the dash refresh when changing screens to get it.
Chapter 3. Don't even get me started. I'm glad I got every strawberry until the boss chase (which I am currently working on right now) in one go, but I'll have to suffer through part of the second section again to reach the Crystal Heart. I'm sure I died 400 times so far here.
We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie Special Edition
The title is ridiculously long, but I'm enjoying what I've done so far. I find the controls interesting, but I wish they wouldn't be so disappointed in me every time I finish a level. "It's too small"
Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition
I love this game a lot more than I thought, the Tabby Slimes are ADORABLE I MEAN LOOK AT THEM
I'm on day 9 and haven't really adventured out much. I have the base 4 slimes (Pink, Tabby, Phosphor, Rock) in two corrals as Largos (the first two and the last two) with high walls and roof. I love this game, and I will 100% it no matter what.
I'm trying to get all the enemies into my journal so every night I have to switch all my party members back to being low leveled so I can get the quests where the exclusive enemies will show up.
So today I get a level 23 quest. Great, that's where the Harpy shows up in some quests. Except that then I see the location and it's in the place where the Harpy only shows up in level 26-28 quests, god damn it-
So needless to say, this grind is going to take an extremely long time.
I'm currently grinding as a tank. I'm also laid-back. So it sure is easy to make everyone in my party dislike me.
I'm also only five monsters away from finishing my journal. Yesterday I failed my task successfully and got the Ivo Tomato, but that was also the highest boss I could get from accidentally setting my party to level 50 to spawn the travelers. Right now I need some quests at level 29-31 so I can get the Someoneotaur boss and then I can get the ones that are closer to level 40.
