MarioWiki Poll Discussion

Was going to make the official post of the poll, but been swamped. didn't realize activity was going to speed up so much so doing so now.

As this poll's creator, I have always been a bit mixed on the Yoshi games. On one hand, I enjoyed Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island even though how I played it (on my school computer) could have been more convenient. Interestingly due to my emulation methods, the Castle/Fortress theme sounds much spookier at the end really slowed down, like a very slow carnival. On the other, Yoshi Touch and Go has always been my least favorite Mario game by a long shot because of how it is only four very basic minigames. Even giving the defense of "it's just an early DS game showing its features" imagine if there was a Mario Party game released today called "Yoshi Party" with only four minigames for full price.

In terms of my vote however, Option 2, more for the second part of the sentence. "but would prefer some future Yoshi games to have standard environments." While I think the art settings are pretty cool from what I've seen of them despite not having played Yoshi's Woolly World or Yoshi's Crafted World, I would think it would be really cool if Yoshi games still had some games with them in the future, but also mix them up with non-art-themed settings that are still as creative.

Do you enjoy that recent Yoshi games are located in art-themed settings, such as yarn, hand-crafts, and book pages?
-Yes, I greatly enjoy the unique art-themed settings new Yoshi games have and want them to continue in future games.
-I consistently somewhat like the art-themed settings, but would prefer some future Yoshi games to have standard environments.
-I feel mixed on the art-themed settings but prefer Yoshi games have standard environments.
-I can enjoy these art-themed settings only when they affect the gameplay of the game.
-I can enjoy these art-themed settings only when they do not affect the gameplay of the game.
-I do not like the art-themed settings for Yoshi games at all.
-My opinion or combination of opinions is not listed here.
-I have no opinion on this subject.
-I haven't played any of the games, so no opinion.

Super close between Rainbow Road and Boo Cinema for me. I ended up voting for Boo Cinema though, because a cinema is my favourite place to be.

Voted for Crown City, because I love city environments and I like the music a lot.

My favorite balanced overall is the Great ? Block Ruins, but I'll also shout out Boo Cinema for having a great aesthetic even though the layout itself is rather simple.
