Arguably the best Gameboy game ever, period. Yes, even better than Tetris, Pokémon R/B/Y/G/S/C, and Mario Land 2.
We can talk about Mario 1, Mario JP, and all the extra stuff.

EDIT: I've noticed a lot of people are replying to contradict the truth of SMBDX being the best GB/GBC game. Go here for that.
 
You can't just make a bold claim like it's the best Gameboy game without saying why. If it's your favorite, that's fine it's your opinion, but contentwise Gold/Silver/Crystal absolutely destroy it.

I wouldn't say either main series Kirby game on gameboy are the best game boy games.

KDL1 can be beat in like half an hour, and while KDL2 is significantly more, there are some annoyances in it as well. Maybe I just have Adventure bias but _
 
Funny, I was just playing this on 3DS earlier. Along with Super Mario Land 2, TLOZ: Triforce Heroes, and a demo of Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World.
 
after playing smb3 and smw smbd really holds no ground lol.

pokemon gsc and shantae are far superior not to mention wario land 2 and 3.

oh yeah and of course sml2.
 
The best game boy game is Donkey Kong followed by SML2 followed by both kirby games.

now Super Mario Land there's a Mario game you could bring home to your mother.
