So it basically references Cuphead? Doesn't make much sense to remove their ability to stomp on enemies though.
 
They can still stomp, just only on pink ones. Otherwise, they'd be broken.

The best solution would be to implement more spiked enemies then. Obviously, you don't want to jump onto a Spiny.
 
That Furious Toadette drawing looks like it was illustrated in Flipnote Studio, but it'd be much more pixelated if it was.
