THATS 5 AM

Never had a Nintendo Direct this late in the night. Usually, it's in mornings or afternoons.

4AM for any Brits that wanted to know

(4AM, bloody hell)

09:00:00 PM ain't that late.

Probably won't watch it live, but who knows.

Ok, another report from EuroGamer's Digital Foundry:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nintendo-switch-spec-analysis

this one is pretty worrisome if the number of shaders is indeed 256 as in the X1, and would create a portable Wii U in handheld mode (that should have 320 shaders running at 550 Mhz) and a less poweful nVidia Shield TV when docked. I suspect that at least the number of shaders will be higher. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long for the reveal.

iirc that's just echoes of echoes of old neogaf rumors

take it with a grain of salt for now
The first part indeed talks about other rumors, I was referring to the clock part, that Eurogamer says comes from developers' documentation:
Documentation supplied to developers along with the table above ends with this stark message: "The information in this table is the final specification for the combinations of performance configurations and performance modes that applications will be able to use at launch."
Fortunately, we won't have to wait much to know the final clocks, unless Nintendo will do a reveal like that of the Wii U, where the only way of knowing something was looking at the die of the chip itself...

the only thing we know is that for the moment Unreal Engine 4 has 2 default settings for the handheld and docked mode, with the docked mode having less demanding default settings than those used for the Xbox One (but honestly, this tells us pretty much the expected).

Did anyone notice that the picture on the screen of the Nintendo Switch exceeds on the arm of the actress during the trailer? At 2:26 during the trailer "First Look at Nintendo Switch"

When you want this console so bad but your family and friends won't give you any cash since it's after Christmas and all the Christmas money you received wasn't even enough.

it's just around next week :)

The Switch presentation is about 20 minutes later. Exciting times ahead!

Thanks for reading.

The benefit with the lack of Region-locking is the fact that I can play Puyo Puyo x Tetris (shown in the games showcase) without worrying about the Japanese barrier. I've wanted to play Puyo Puyo games, but lacked the normal means to do so.

EDIT: What!? Puyo Puyo Tetris is going to be localised? That's even better! It's amazing that the Tetris-side characters got names too! J & L becomes Jay and Elle, Z becomes Zed, but O is still O.

Thanks for reading.
