If they do a collection, they should include the cartoons. What episodes should they have, though?
At least one per show.

Also, we should at least have some mention of Super Mario-Kun, the longest running Mario medium that isn't a video game. Sawada needs more appreciation.
That too.

Sonic Mega Collection had the first issue of the Archie comics and the cover of every other issue, so maybe do something like that.

Best buy has pink gold peach toothpicks

Noooo don't mention Best Buy around me. Why must they have Meta Knight amiibo be exclusive?

Ahem anyway I think that if they make an anniversary thing it should be like Kirby or do something like Metroid Prime Trilogy with Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy

I'd have every platformer game from Super Mario Bros to 64

So it would include
SMB
SMB:LL
SMB:2
SMB:3
SMW
SML
SML:2
SM64

I think the kirby collection ends at 64 as well

I'd maybe throw in Super Mario Kart too or some other spinoff (maybe Yoshi's Island but that should be saved for Yoshi), just to spice things up.

A bit off-topic, but Pokémon will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. It might stop a proposed Yoshi collection or any other anniversary thing that year (i.e. Metroid). Then again, Pokémon isn't exactly like other Nintendo franchises, and the Pokémon Company could handle Pokémon while Nintendo handles another series.

Nah, might as well throw in Yoshi's island. Its still a Mario game technically.

OH SHIT!!! You just made me realize that next year is Metroid's 30th, Zelda's 30th, Kid Icarus' 30th, Yoshi's 25th, Sonic's 25th, Pokemon's 20th, and Crash Bandicoot's 20th. Oh man so many options. I really hope they do something for all of them (with the obvious exception of the 3rd parties) instead of just Zelda's like they did for it's 25th.

Well I do want something for them, just not from Nintendo. I hope they start having those figures and plushies. Maybe even have special edition 25th Anniversary Sonic amiibo

Hopefully Waluigi and Paper Mario will get at least something from Nintendo to celebrate their 15th anniversaries.

Won't happen.

I feel like Mario Maker will be the only thing to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros.

nah i think theyll release at least a special edition 3ds xl or something

they had the special edition gameboy micro for the 20th anniversary and they had special edition super mario all stars for 25th anniversary

so yeah would be kinda bad to not have anything for #30

Maybe a new game or 2

Sorry to be so negative, but wonder what kind of effortless crap they're coming up with this time.

Hm, you don't think they're planning on making a straight up Super Mario Bros. 4 are you?

I mean with the Nintendo World Championship was first around when SMB3 was new and it being an even 30 years. Could this be a clue that's what we're in for?

It'd be strange though I suppose, as for all intents and purposes you'd think Super Mario World is pretty much SMB4. And even if that doesn't count it kinda discounts the NSMB games.

Just wild speculation on my part, I'm probably wrong. But thought I'd bring up the possibility.
