What makes you rage in video games?

What I'd call "rage" from me at least is actually pretty petty compared to others. Usually my kind of rage is just me face-palming or saying something in frustration that doesn't go beyond calling what happened rude or something. I'm too calm for the kind of rage you often see elsewhere.

I don't rage really.

I just stop and try again later and usually I'm ok.

I did something similar to that when trying to 100% Kirby Mass Attack.
I eventually quit on that. The perfection needed to do that is too great.

Games where you have to pay more to 100% it. You know... Skylanders.
It's called DLC, what's with it.

Stealth Missions because of how poorly designed a lot of these are and when your caught 90% of the time I'm like "that was freaking cheap"

Also can't stand cheap deaths that aren't your fault.

Sounds like on-disc DLC for me. DLC is supposed to be optional, right? Well, you can't access certain areas in Skylanders just because you don't have the Earth thing or whatever. Well, at least you get a little figure, but can I just 100% without buying anything extra? I guess I'll just turn to an emulator. Not that it's an interesting game in the first place.

Not all DLC costs money, and most DLC is optional stuff

Please, learn what DLC is.

I'm not gonna forget ESCORT MISSIONS no way
Oh yes. The Alchemist mission in Spyro 2 comes to mind here.

For me, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon really sucks for that.

Why do your escorts always suck ass and are incredibly stupid?? Oh well, artificial difficulty there.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who shudders at the thought of escorting someone and keeping her alive. :']

Dude when I'm around, you're never alone

Ironically, my successful attempt happened just after watching a video of someone failing to get that one gold star.

Unless the reward was fabulous, I never took any escort missions in the PMD games because they were just so bad.

Ashley Graham in Resident Evil 4 was such a burden.

*my list from earlier*
Adding more...

- Backtracking constantly (Oh god Paper Mario: TTYD Chapter 4 was a pain)

- Getting a game over in a 2 player co-op mode if one person dies (i.e. Multi-Man Brawl, events or Boss Battles in Brawl)
^Pokemon Mystery Dungeon also falls under this to a certain extent but it's the AI in this scenario.

- Having stupid CPU AI for your teammates and then they fail (Mario Party 6 comes to mind, and Clean Team is a bitch with them cause they don't follow the windows you sprayed which is why I prefer being the one cleaning)
^A bit similar to the second thing listed here. :p

- Having to battle under specific conditions (The reason why I DESPISE the Glitz Pit in TTYD, I swear it was rigged just to make me mad, and I couldn't stand having "Don't let Mario/your partner attack" or "No consuming FP" or "Don't Jump" and then I would sometimes get the condition where I can't use my Hammer, but I can't jump on the enemies either. >__>)

- Having an unexpected battle and you haven't saved/healed for a while, then you lose.

You know what game makes me rage and I know will make you rage if you played it?

I WANNA BE THE GUY!

Don't play this game if you have rage problems, you will most likely destroy somthing in immediate vicinity.

I hate it when attacks miss in RPG games and enemies attacks seem to always do critical damage(I'm looking at you Lord of the Rings The Third Age).

When the AI in Pokemon uses something like Double Team and it's near impossible to hit them, but when you use it, the opponent still has a fair shot at you. Pretty much sums up my battle with Agatha's Haunter.

Haunter used Hypnosis!
Vaporeon fell asleep!
I use my Poke Flute.
Rinse and repeat.

That trap pit in Metroid where you have to keep bombing the regenerating wall to climb back up, THEN freezing those flying fucking monsters in just the right places to jump out

And it's not like I learned the lesson once, when I went back to play the game again a while later and really makre sure I checked out all the routes, I got stuck there again

Poke Flute renders Awakening useless.

Also, Hax Tower in Pokemon makes me rage.

Mostly when I am make stupid mistakes or I am trying to get past something, and I just get so enraged at not being able to do it right, but then I flicking off the tv as I keep on trying because I HAVE to get it or else it's going to be things worse. And then when I do get it, I usually cuss at the tv in joy...

Lol, never play a video game with me when I'm mad. :P

Mario Strikers brings out the worse in me.

Strikers Charged or Super Mario Strikers?

Both, but Stikers Charged more often...

I just...I get to the point where I'm telling Peach to F off, or screaming at Wario at the tv.

And then I get just so pissed off, that I have to switch to Smash Bros. Brawl, and usually I have the computer be whoever I was versing in Strikers. I spend like half an hour just taking out my anger at them, destroying them over and over...

Yeah, I have some anger issues when it comes to Strikers...

Gosh, I haven't played that game in like 3 years...

It's easier to set them at their lowest difficulty and set them on fire via Toad's Flame Shot the same way we do to Wario. And if you score enough goals, you'll see their losing animation! It's always funny to see you destroying them.

You could have two players, use the goals instead of times setting in exhibition, and basically just do whatever you want to the idling player, such as setting them on fire or ramming them into an electric fence! >;]

It makes you rage because you're going about it the wrong way. You don't play I Wanna Be The Guy. You watch other people play it.

Being so friggin close to the end and then some thing stupid stops you! RAGE!!!!

Bosses that heal themselves. Here's a quick rundown.

"Yes! Finally, I'm going to defeat this…boss…"

The minute you think you're going to defeat a boss, guess what happens? THEY HEAL THEMSELVES. That makes it just IMPOSSIBLE!!!
