Wario's in my list of eight veterans I need to have confirmed.

That list being Ness, Jigglypuff, Ganondorf, Falco, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, Wario, and Meta Knight.

If these eight are in, then I'll be satisfied with our returning characters. Any other veterans would just be the icing on the cake.

I will only accept Jigglypuff if we have Sceptile in. Preferable Mewtwo in as well.
I want Squirtle and Ivysaur and Lucas cut them coming back would be unacceptable.
I want R.O.B. and Mr. Game & Watch and Ice Climbers cut but I'd accept them coming back.

Jigglypuff should be a character that needs to be in regardless. She may not be as relevent as she was back in the day. I'd rather they not cut a character where they've been in the series long enough where Smash Bros. will not feel the same without their face on the roster. I think there will be more people angry if she didn't return then if she did return.

I hope Wario gets his Dash Attack from the Wario Land games as his, well, dash attack. Beyond that he's fine.

It may not pertain to Smash 4, but there is one thing to consider. Smash rosters can only get so big. Sakurai builds characters from the ground-up each time and doesn't seem to like reusing assets. We're approaching the ceiling of what is feasible in these games.

I fear that in Smash 5, cuts are gonna get more brutal and even some veterans may have to say goodbye.

But let's cross that bridge when we come to it. The issue I stated likely won't effect this game too bad. Smash 5 however....

I hope he gets a lot of moves from Wario Land, including his normal outfit as default. I mean, Warioware is good and all, but I would love if they would take some of his appearance and moves back to its roots.

explain to me why 2/3rds of the generation 1 starters, as well as the only other feasible representative/the very last main character from a series should be cut
